Chief Minister and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has assured TDP workers that he remembers all the hardships faced by the workers and leaders of Kuppam constituency during the last five-year anarchic rule of YCP and that it is his responsibility to ensure that no injustice is done to anyone who has worked hard.
Addressing TDP leaders and activists of Kuppam constituency on Wednesday evening, he said that YCP regimes conspiracies to weaken the TDP did not work in front of the self-confidence of the leaders and activists.
Chandrababu reviewed the performance of the last five years and the policies adopted in the elections. He advised them on the action plan to be formulated to work keeping in view of the 2029 elections.
“I have won 8 times as an MLA from Kuppam.. But I have never seen such violence, attacks and atrocities we experienced during the last five years. They tried to attack and tempt and undermine the leadership. However, their heights did not last”, he added.
He recalled how YCP leaders committed irregularities in panchayat and municipal elections. TDP candidates could not even file their nominations.
“When I came to visit the district, they prevented me by bringing GO-1. Illegal cases were also filed against activists who protested. 10 people were illegally arrested and put in jail for 30 days. Not just one, they tried all ways to damage the TDP”, he said. But, he appreciated that the party cadre survived here despite all such hardships.
The Chief Minister accused that during the five years, the previous government did not spend a single rupee for the development of Kuppam constituency. He said that he has two big responsibilities in Kuppam.
First, he said that he has to take Kuppam towards development as the number-1 constituency in the country and Secondly, need to recognize those who have worked hard for the party in Kuppam. Asking them to maintain harmony with the people, he cautioned them not to make the mistakes of the previous government. People should see the change between the previous government.
