Chandrababu Announced Nagababu To Be Inducted Into AP Cabinet

Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s elder brother and Jana Sena general secretary K Nagababu will be inducted into AP cabinet soon. This was officially announced by TDP chief and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

This announcement was made along with the announcement of three Rajya Sabha candidates of the coalition parties in the bypolls. Nagababu had earlier prepared to contest in the Lok Sabha polls from Anakapalli. But as that seat was allotted to BJP, he was forced to keep away from the contest.

Later, his name was figured as Jana Sena candidate in the present Rajya Sabha bypolls. However, as the BJP claimed that seat and also he has now shown interest, it seems both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan have decided to induct him into the state cabinet.

As General Secretary of the party, he has been monitoring Jana Sena’s organizational affairs. Now it is likely he will be soon inducted into the cabinet and later may be sent to the Legislative Council.

In AP, 25 people can be appointed as ministers according to the assembly seats. There are 24 ministers in the current cabinet. Jana Sena, which won all the seats it contested in the assembly elections, took three ministerial posts. Pawan Kalyan, Kandula Durgesh and Nadendla Manohar are ministers from that party.

As part of the alliance, Jana Sena has been allotted 4 ministerial posts and BJP has one. It seems that the remaining one ministerial post has been finalized recently from Jana Sena. In this context, Nagababu has been inducted into the cabinet

The alliance parties have decided to select one from BJP and two from TDP for the three vacant Rajya Sabha seats in AP. BJP has finalized the name of R. Krishnaiah as its Rajya Sabha candidate. TDP has finalized the names of Bida Mastan Rao and Sana Satish.

Mopidevi Venkataramana and Bida Mastan Rao, who were elected to Rajya Sabha from YSRCP, recently resigned from their Rajya Sabha membership. Both of them have joined TDP.

While it was thought that they would get a chance again for these two vacant seats… a name has changed in the list. TDP has allotted the seat of Mopidevi Venkataramana to Sana Satish. The other seat has been allotted to Beda Mastan Rao. These three alliance candidates will file their nominations on Tuesday. All three are likely to be elected unanimously.
