Centre Announces ₹11,440-Crore Package for Vizag Steel Plant, Pawan Kalyan Responds 

The central government’s announcement of a ₹11,440-crore special package for the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has been welcomed by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. He expressed happiness over the move, describing it as a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to strengthening the steel industry and fostering the state’s development.  

Speaking on the announcement, Pawan Kalyan said, “This package is a matter of great joy and a reflection of the Prime Minister’s dedication to supporting the Vizag Steel Plant. On behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, I extend heartfelt gratitude to Modi for his sincerity toward the state’s progress.”  

He highlighted the significance of the package, stating that it is not merely a financial figure but a source of hope for thousands of families. The Deputy Chief Minister also commended the workers and stakeholders for their efforts in keeping the plant operational.  

“Visakhapatnam Steel Plant plays a crucial role in realizing the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. I thank Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for their contributions. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Garu, the plant will not only sustain but also achieve greater development, standing as a pride of Telugu people in the mission of building Viksit Bharat-2047,” he remarked.  

Pawan Kalyan also underscored the historical and emotional significance of the steel plant, noting, “This package is not just about financial revival but fulfilling the promises etched in sacrifices made by our elders. The memories of those who gave their lives for Visakhapatnam Steel will forever remain in our hearts.”  

The announcement has been widely appreciated as a significant step toward ensuring the plant’s long-term sustainability and boosting the local economy.
