CBI Taken U-Turn In YS Viveka’s Murder case, says Supreme Court Ready To probe Further

The CBI, which is investigating the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy in AP, has taken a U-turn in the Supreme Court. It had previously filed an affidavit in the Apex Court stating that the investigation has already been completed.

The CBI gave this explanation during the Supreme Court hearing on the petition filed by Viveka’s daughter Dr Suneetha, seeking cancellation of the bail granted by the Telangana High Court to Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy and some others, who are accused in this case.

However, the CBI, which had previously told the Supreme Court that the investigation was completed, has now revealed that it has taken a key decision as the petitioner wants to investigate the case further. It has told the Supreme Court that it is ready to investigate Viveka’s case in more depth.

It has been revealed that they will conduct further investigation based on the decision taken by the Supreme Court on this. In the wake of the ongoing investigation in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case, the Telangana High Court has granted bail to YS BAvinash Reddy and some others, who are accused in this case.

But, YS Viveka’s daughter Sunitha Reddy challenged this in the Supreme Court. With this, the Supreme Court has sought the opinion of the CBI, which immediately informed that the investigation was already completed. In a way, it has indicated that granting bail to the accused in the case may not affect the case at all. Dr Suneetha expressed her surprise over CBI’s attitude and submitted to the Apex Court the issue further needed to be examined.

Responding to her concerns, the Supreme Court has ordered the CBI to first give its opinion on the continuation of the investigation in the Viveka case. In response to this, the CBI has told the Supreme Court that it is ready to conduct a more in-depth investigation in this case as per the request of the petitioner, Viveka’s daughter Sunitha Reddy.

With this, the decision to be taken by the Supreme Court has become critical in continuation of the probe into a highly politically sensitive case. The future of Avinash Reddy and other accused will now depend on the decision taken by the Supreme Court.
