Cabinet Expansion Ignates Discontent In Congress, slams Defectors Given priority

The much awaited cabinet expansion that took place on Sunday has created a stir in the Telangana Congress. The high command has left the MLAs who had been waiting with a thousand eyes for 17 months with crores of hopes on ministerial posts disappointed. Senior leaders are expressing their grief that those who jumped the wall were given priority over the leaders who had trusted the party even in difficult times.

Although 50 percent of those who came from other parties were given ministerial posts in the first phase, they say that they respected the high command’s decision with the idea of  protecting the party that came to power after ten years. While six cabinet berths have been vacant for 17 months, the issue of cabinet expansion has been stalled 32 times every time it has come to the fore due to social adjustments, class conflicts and other reasons.

This time, the campaign was going on that at least one person from the Reddy and Velama social groups would get a chance. With this, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Malreddy Ranga Reddy and P Sudarshan Reddy had high hopes. However, they were disappointed. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy is unhappy about not getting a ministerial post.

If it is said that two posts cannot be given from the same family, then all three members of Vivek’s family have been given posts, Vivek’s son Vamsi was given Peddapalli MP, his brother Vinod was given Bellampalli MLA ticket, and now Vivek has also been given a ministerial post, and Meenakshi Natarajan is being questioned about how so many posts were given to one family?

In addition, those former TDP leaders like CM Revanth Reddy, Thummala, Seethakka get top priority. It is reported that they expressed anger that they were given positions to immigrants and backstabbers and cut their throats.

As soon as the party high command announced the names of three people in the cabinet, those who were hoping for a place in the cabinet became disheartened. Mainly Mancherial MLA Premsagar Rao, Bodhan MLA P Sudarshan Reddy, Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and others were deeply unhappy.

CM Revanth Reddy and party state affairs in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan tried to bring those who were upset by expecting ministerial positions to their side. They personally called everyone and tried to appease them. The MLAs who joined the Congress from BRS were shown a stubborn attitude in the expansion of the cabinet.

As soon as the berths in the cabinet were finalized, CM Revanth Reddy, PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, and Meenakshi Natarajan rushed to the houses of the aspirants. While Revanth tried to appease them by talking on the phone, Meenakshi Natarajan personally spoke to Sudarshan Reddy, Malreddy Ranga Reddy, Premsagar Rao, and others. The appeasement efforts began on Saturday midnight.
