BRS supporters warn Puri over KCR’s voice in song

Netizens have created numerous memes based on the dialogue ‘Em Cheddam Antav Mari,’ which former Telangana Chief Minister KCR uttered during a press meet in 2020 while the COVID pandemic was at its peak, making it extremely popular on social media. It has become a catch phrase for people in Telugu States during funny conversations.

Recently, these words made way into films as well. A viral song in Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film ‘Double iSmart’  with dashing filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has KCR’s voiceover utter the same words in the middle of regular lyrics. While the song Maar Muntha Chod Chintha with complete Telangana slang received a thumping response, KCR’s voice seem to have hurt the sentiments of BRS party supporters.

Now, they have demanded Puri Jagannadh to remove the voice of KCR and threatened to protest around his house in the coming days if he doesn’t budge to their warnings. Surprisingly, it was the lady supporters of BRS who put an ultimatum to Puri Jagannadh in this issue.

Telangana lyricist Kasarla Shyam penned the song, and Rahul Sipligunj and Keerthana Sharma sang it..

This is not the first time that Puri has ruffled the feathers of Telangana people. In the past, he triggered a controversy with his dialogues in Pawan Kalyan’s Cameraman Ganga tho Ram Babu film. At that time, agitators stalled the screenings of the film in Telangana.

Puri and Double iSmart team are yet to respond on the issue. They have slated the film for release on August 15th.
