BRS MLC Kavitha Granted Bail by Supreme Court in Delhi Liquor Policy Case

BRS MLC K Kavitha received significant relief as the Supreme Court granted her bail in the Delhi liquor policy case. The bail plea, which was under consideration for nearly an hour and a half, was heard by a bench comprising Justices B R Gavai and P S Narasimha. After hearing arguments from both sides, the bench granted bail to Kavitha, noting that there was no need for her continued detention since the chargesheet had already been filed.

Kavitha was granted bail in both the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) cases related to the liquor policy. The court also took into account that Kavitha is a woman while making its decision. Having been in Tihar Jail for the past five months, she is expected to be released today.

Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi represented Kavitha during the proceedings, while the Additional Solicitor General argued on behalf of the ED.
