BRS MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy’s Bold Remarks Spark Political Storm In Telangana

Telangana politics has heated up yet again, following bold and controversial remarks by BRS MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy. Targeting the Congress-led state government, he alleged that growing dissatisfaction among the public and industrialists is paving the way for a strong push to bring former Chief Minister KCR back into power.

In a striking revelation, Prabhakar Reddy claimed that there is pressure on the BRS leadership to destabilize the Congress government — even suggesting that efforts may include attempts to “buy” ruling party MLAs. He further stated that several industrialists are ready to fund such moves, frustrated by what he described as ineffective governance under the current administration.

His comments didn’t go unnoticed. Congress Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy hit back sharply, accusing BRS leaders — particularly KCR and his son KTR — of orchestrating such statements out of desperation to reclaim power. He alleged that the remarks were deliberately planned and expressed through Prabhakar Reddy to create political unrest.

Ponguleti further asserted that the Congress government was democratically elected and cannot be toppled through unethical practices or illegal means. He pointed out that such provocative comments stem from BRS leaders’ fears of being exposed for their alleged financial irregularities and illicit wealth under the previous regime.

The war of words has heightened tensions between Congress and BRS, fueling Telangana’s already charged political climate. While both sides continue to go back and forth with allegations, everyone waits with bated breath to see how this high-voltage political theatre unfolds in the days ahead.
