Botsa Demanded To Reveal Rs 25,000 cr. Visakha Port Drugs Case!

Senior YCP leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana has demanded the NDA government to expose real culprits in the Rs 25,000 drugs case that was unearthed at Visakha Port on March 22. Recalling that accusations were made against YCP leaders during elections, he asked what happened to the case later?

He said that it was said at that time those drugs were imported by Sandhya Aqua Exports and also allegations were leveled as it was owned by state BJP Chief D Purandeswari’s relatives.

Did the original drug worth Rs. 25,000 crores reach Visakhapatnam? He asked and demanded to find out who are  the actors in this container case. Botsa Satyanarayana reminded that recently central investigation agencies have seized a huge amount of drugs under the name of Operation Garuda.

He said that because they were in power then, the state government was accused of doing it. What happened to the case of the drug container from Brazil? He demanded that the alliance government should conduct an inquiry into this.

He asked North Andhra MPs to ask questions about this drugs scam in Parliament and demand an enquiry, so that they should protect the prestige of this region.  He also asked YCP MPs to question about it in the Parliament during this week.

Botsa Satyanarayana said that they have seen drugs being imported from Gujarat and Maharashtra, but Visakhapatnam port has never faced such a problem. If there is sincerity, he said, the local leadership should bring facts out  immediately.

He said as that was the election time they maintained restraint on this issue and avoided political accusations and counter- accusations. He clarified that he does not want to throw mud on anyone, but only wants facts and if anyone committed fraud should be punished.

Rediculting TDP leaders’ threat of ‘Red Book’, he said before opening of red book, blue book or black book, first reveal truth from the probe reports available with the government in Vizag land scam.   He demanded that the SIT report on land scams made during the TDP regime should be revealed. He said that the SIT investigation was extended till 2004.

He admitted that the SIT report submitted during his tenure could not be released due to pressure, though he had asked his government to open the SIT at that time.
