Ace choreographer Bosco Martis, who choreographed the chart-topping romantic number Chuttamalle from Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s Devara, has expressed disappointment over not receiving adequate recognition from the film’s team. In a recent interview, Bosco stated that while the song received massive acclaim, his contribution went largely unacknowledged during the film’s promotional campaigns.
Bosco remarked that he had expected at least lead actress Janhvi Kapoor to mention his name during promotions but was let down. Citing a positive example, he praised actor Vicky Kaushal for highlighting his work on the song Tauba Tauba from Bad Newz. Bosco underlined the need for proper credit to choreographers when songs become successful, pointing out that such acknowledgment is becoming increasingly rare in the industry.
Devara, directed by Koratala Siva, released in September last year and starred Jr. NTR in dual roles as Devara and Vara, with Janhvi Kapoor portraying Thangam. The song Chuttamalle, composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by Shilpa Rao, has amassed over 126 million views on YouTube. Bosco, known for his work in Bollywood hits like Zoom Jo Pathaan and Kala Chashma, continues to be one of the most sought-after choreographers in Indian cinema. A sequel to Devara is currently in development.
