YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Borugadda Anil Kumar surrendered at Rajamahendravaram Central Jail early this morning at 6:30 AM after the High Court dismissed his plea for extension of interim bail. Having no other legal alternative, he had no option but to follow the orders of the court.
Even by asking for additional time citing his mother’s ailment and presenting medical certificates as proof, the court was adamant and would not grant any extension. Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, the judiciary left no doubt that he needs to surrender immediately.
Borugadda was originally asked to turn himself in by last night at 5 PM, but his lack of compliance created worry among jail officials, making the situation more tense. However, by morning, he finally complied with the legal requirement and surrendered at the specified facility.
His surrender is a key development in the ongoing legal case, highlighting the firm position of the court.
