Bollywood Producers Eye ‘Operation Sindoor’ Title

The Indian Army’s high-profile anti-terror operation, dubbed Operation Sindoor, has sparked significant interest in Bollywood, with several major production houses vying to register the title for future projects.

According to film industry sources, companies such as Zee Studios and T-Series have submitted applications to the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) to secure the rights to the title. Among the earliest to register the name was Mahaveer Jain’s production company.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, one of the applicants, stated, “Directors and producers often look for titles that capture public sentiment. A film cannot be developed without a strong title. In light of recent events, many have applied for Operation Sindoor, though it doesn’t guarantee that all will proceed with a film.”

In a notable development, Jio Studios issued a statement announcing its withdrawal from the title application process. The company clarified that it has no intention of producing a film under the name and expressed pride in the Indian Army’s success in striking terror bases across the border.

The buzz around Operation Sindoor reflects a broader trend in Indian cinema where real-life military operations continue to inspire patriotic storytelling on screen.
