Bollywood actress Kadambari Jathwani has demanded immediate arrest of YCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar and sought police protection for her. She submitted a fresh complaint to the investigation office ACP Sravanthi Roy on Thursday night and alleged that IPS officers the then Vijayawada Police Commissioner Kandi Rana, DCP Vishal Gunni and Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu were the key people in the affair in which she was falsely accused, arrested and harassed during YCP regime.
According to her, on the basis of a false complaint filed against her by Vidyasagar, she and her parents were arrested and accused that the three IPS officers conspired with Vidyasagar to create a forged document and register a false case.
She said that the false case registered against her at Ibrahimpatnam Police station was a conspiracy to force her to withdraw the rape case against the industrialist she filed in Mumbai. She and her parents were arrested immediately after registering this false case.
She alleged that she was interrogated for a long time from 9 am to 12 midnight in police custody and threatened to withdraw the case in Mumbai.
Speaking to the media outside the commissioner’s office, Kadambari said, ‘I don’t understand why YSRCP leaders are supporting Kukkala Vidyasagar, who has 17 criminal cases. Such a person should not accuse me’. Stating that Vidyasagar is trying to destroy her and her family, she sought police protection.
Expressing her concern for politicizing such a horrible criminal act, the actress said that she wants to get out of this terrible situation as soon as possible. She said that she was forced to name three IPS officers in her complaint, as they behaved beyond their limitations and behaved very cruelly.
She expressed hope the present Vijayawada Police Commissioner will soon register a case against her complaint and take needful action. She said that at the time of her arrest the police seized 10 electronic devices, which contained several clues with regard to her case filed in Mumbai, but they have not returned them till now.
