After days of stone attack on Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the Vijayawada police arrested one youth Satish on Thursday and produced him in the court. As this incident has been creating political uproar in the state and the ruling party attempting to blame the opposition, the police continue maintaining silence.

The police who identified the accused, a resident of Vaddera colony,  have already registered cases against them and arrested two days ago. Police stated he was the person who pelted the stone against the chief minister.

But, the police are yet to reveal what actually happened. The stone attack took place on the 13th of this month as part of the bus yatra organized across the state by CM Jagan in the name of ‘Memantha Siddam’, for election campaign. The stone attack took place when Jagan was greeting people at Vivekananda School in Singh Nagar during the bus yatra in Vijayawada.

The police also included another person Durga Rao in this case and alleged he helped Satish. While Satish was named as A1, Duraga Rao was named as A2. Police stating that on the persuasion of Durga Rao only Satish resorted to this act.

Satish, who was on the road next to Vivekananda School from 20 feet away from the bus, attacked Jagan Mohan Reddy who was traveling on the bus with a piece of cement stone, the police revealed. After the stone attack, Satish and Durga Rao went to their homes, it was revealed in the investigation.

Along with Satish, four other persons have already been detained and the police have conducted an investigation and recorded their statements. Later, Satish was arrested and medical tests were conducted, before he was produced in the court.

Meanwhile, TDP Politburo member Varla Ramaiah alleged that the stone throwing incident was a big drama enacted by the ruling party to garner sympathy among voters. He accused that as their dramas were successful during 2019 polls in the form of Kodi Katti attack case and also YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case, this time knowing their defeat is certain, attempting such cheap tactics.

He lamented that police are just proceeding in the case as per the false narrations given in Sakshi news paper, but not conducting independent investigation. Why are such news stories coming only in Sakshi, not in any other newspaper, he asked.
