అంతపెద్ద అధికారి చెబుతున్నారు గనుక నిజమే కావొచ్చు. కానీ.. వాహనానికి తగులుతాయనే ఉద్దేశంతో ప్రోటోకాల్ లో భాగంగా విద్యుత్తు వైర్లు మొత్తం కత్తిరించేసిన అధికారులు.. ఆ చీకట్లో వాహనం మీద నిల్చుని వీవీఐపీ ప్రయాణించడానికి ఎలా అనుమతించారు. చీకట్లో అలా ప్రమాదకరమైన పరిస్థితిలో వీవీఐపీని తీసుకువెళ్లడం కూడా భద్రత ప్రోటోకాల్ లో భాగమేనా? అనే ప్రశ్నలు ప్రజలనుంచి వస్తున్నాయి. జగన్ మీద ఎవడో రాయి విసిరాడు గనుక సరిపోయింది. బలంగా రాయి విసిరాడు అని కమిషనర్ అంటోంటే.. ఎయిర్ గన్ వాడినట్టుగా తెలుస్తోంది అని వైసీపీ దళాలు అంటున్నాయి. ఆ సంగతి పక్కన పెడితే.. రాయి కాకుండా అలాంటి పరిస్థితిలో ఎవడైనా తుపాకీతో కాల్చి ఉంటే పరిస్థితి ఏమిటి? అప్పుడు పోలీసులు ఏం సమాధానం చెబుతారు. చంద్రబాబునాయుడు కాల్పించాడు అని వైసీపీ దళాలు పాట పాడుతాయి సరే.. జరిగిన నష్టానికి బాధ్యత వహించేది ఎవరు? అనేది ప్రజల సందేహం.

Supreme Court Refuse Urgent Hearing On Kejriwal’s Custody
The Supreme Court on declined to consider the plea for an interim release of Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal without waiting for the Enforcement Directorate’s reply. It issued notice on a plea by Kejriwal challenging a Delhi High Court order, which upheld his arrest in a money-laundering case in relation to the alleged excise policy scam. Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21.
A bench comprising justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta issued notice and scheduled the matter for hearing in the week commencing on April 29. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta represented the Enforcement Directorate and senior advocate A M Singhvi represented Kejriwal before the apex court.
Singhvi urged the court to grant a short date for hearing in the matter and pointed out that the first round of elections will begin on April 19 and also emphasized on the election campaign. The Supreme Court directions came on the day a court in Delhi extended the judicial custody of Kejriwal till April 23.
Special Judge for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED), Kaveri Baweja, extended Kejriwal’s custody after he was produced before the court through video-conferencing on the expiry of his period of custody granted earlier.
The ED sought an extension of Kejriwal’s custody, saying the investigation was at a crucial stage. Kejriwal’s plea in Supreme Court stressed on the timing of his arrest, which happened just few days after the announcement of general elections and the imposition of the Model Code of Conduct.
The plea argued that his arrest provided the ruling party an unfair advantage in the upcoming elections, compromising the principle of free and fair elections. The plea said that petitioner’s arrest will provide the ruling party at the Centre an unjust upper hand in the upcoming elections.
Seeking apex court’s intervention in the matter, the plea argued that Kejriwal’s arrest also constitutes an unprecedented assault on the tenets of democracy based on “free and fair elections” and “federalism”. The plea emphasized that both of these form significant constituents of the basic structure of the Constitution.
The plea argued that the conduct of the BJP after his arrest, demonstrates the way the machinery of law has been harnessed with the ‘oblique object’ of knocking out the political opposition.
EC Seizuredhighest Ever Rs 4,650 Cr Before Polling Negins
IN a historic seizure amount just ahead of the first phase of the Lok Sabha Elections beginning from April 19, enforcement agencies have made a record seizure of over Rs. 4650 crores in the election commission’s resolute fight against money power.
This marks a sharp increase over Rs 3475 crores seized during the entire Lok Sabha election in 2019. Significantly, 45% of the seizures are of drugs and narcotics, that are under the special focus of the Commission.
Drug seizures accounted for approximately 75 per cent of the total seizures in January and February this year with the poll panel focussing on the menace much before the poll schedule was announced.
According to the data from the Election Commission, amongst the States/UTs, Rajasthan topped the list with Rs 778.52 crores seized followed by Rs 605.35 crores in Gujarat, Rs 460.84 crores in Tamil Nadu, Rs. 431.34 crores in Maharashtra, Rs 311.84 crores in Punjab, Rs 281.43 crores in Maharashtra, Rs 236.06 crores in New Delhi and others.
Amongst the states that topped the seized amount in terms of drugs value, Gujarat emerged at the top with Rs 485.99 crores followed by Ts 293.02 crores in Tamil Nadu, Rs 280.81 crores in Punjab, Rs 189.94 crores in New Delhi and others. The total seized amount in terms of drug value stood at Rs 2068.85 crores.
In terms of liquor Value, a total of Rs 489.31 crores were seized with Karnataka (Rs 124.33 crores) followed by Rs 51.17 crores in West Bengal, Rs 40.78 crores in Rajasthan and others. As many as Rs 395.93 crores were seized in terms of cash value with Rs 53.58 crores in Tamil Nadu followed by Rs 49.18 crores in Telangana, Rs 40.05 crores in Maharashtra and others.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had, while announcing the poll schedule on March 16, underlined money power as one of the ‘4M’ challenges in the elections.

Man of Masses Jr. NTR recently joined the sets of his next film, War 2, marking his much-anticipated debut in Hindi cinemas. The film marks the first collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. War 2 is a sequel to Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s 2019 action thriller, ‘War’.
Speaking of War 2, Ayaan Mukherji is directing this action-thriller. The film is backed by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Productions. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, John Abraham, and Kiara Advani. The film locks its release date to August 2025.
On the work front, besides War 2, Jr. NTR is gearing up for his much-anticipated next, Devara Part 1. The film is helmed by Koratala Siva and is scheduled to hit theaters this year.
Kamal Haasan Met Alfonso Cuaron Alongside Mani Ratnam, Siddharth, AR Rahman, And Aditi Rao Hydari; Deets Inside
Kamal Haasan, the true legend of Indian cinema, met Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron, whose accolades include five Academy Awards, seven BAFTA Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards, at the Indian actor’s Raaj Kamal Films International office in Chennai.
Kamal Haasan took to his Instagram and shared some photos posing with the Mexican filmmaker, along with Maverick director Mani Ratnam, musical maestro A.R. Rahman, actor-couple Siddharth, and Aditi Rao Kapoor.
The veteran actor captioned the post, “Met Mr.Alfonso Cuaron my brethren and an offspring from the same mother “cinema “We spoke cinema, cinema and more cinema. I shared my joy over lunch along with the seasons mangoes and some of my fraternity Mr.Maniratnam, Mr. A.R.Rahman, Mr.Ravi K Chandran, Mr. Mahendran, Mr.Narayanan, Ms.Aditi Rao Hydari, Mr. Siddharth and Ms. Amritha.”Alfonso meets Banganapalli” quipped Mr.Siddharth.”

The actor Aditi Rao Hydari also took to Instagram, reposted the images, and wrote, “Thank you Kamal sir and thank you universe!”
Alfonso Cuarón is a Mexican filmmaker. Some of his work includes Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Roma, Gravity, Children of Men, and others.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan will be seen in his next project, Kalki 2898 A.D., helmed by talented director Nag Ashwin. The film has a stellar cast, including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. This highly anticipated science fiction was earlier scheduled to hit theaters on May 9. However, recent rumors indicate that the film will be postponed until June 20 due to elections.
