Evidences Makes Avinash A Suspect In Viveka’s Murder, Says Sunita

All the evidence in the public domain makes suspect Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy as the prime suspect in the brutal murder of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, five years ago, alleges his daughter Dr Sunitha Reddy.

Sunitha showing scenes of Umashankar Reddy running near Viveka’s house, presenting details of the phone call data on the night of the murder, Google Takeout, IPDR data and other details became emotional and asserts that she is fighting for justice on the basis of these facts.

As influential persons making their efforts to dilute the case, the CBI probe is also getting delayed, she said that now she is seeking people’s verdict on these heinous crimes during the present elections.  

She said that in the 2014 elections, her father had remained a supporter of YS Sharmila, seeking her contest in the Lok Sabha polls from Kadapa. As Viveka was a strong leader in the district, Avinash, who wanted to contest, was jealous and realised he cannot move ahead.

She deplored that cBI still has a lot to do in this case and there is pressure on it to go slow. “I waited five years seeking justice in the court. Now seeks people’s verdict asking them to vote for Sharmila so that they realise the dream of my father”, she added.

She expressed concern that still justice is away besides several solid pieces of evidence. Stating that she is ready to talk with any one on this case and also discussed with CM Jagan Mohan Reddy some times, she deplored that he is not giving an appointment for her later. 

Sunitha said that justice has not been done despite all this evidence and said that she is showing the scenes to make people know the truth. He stated that he is bringing forward all this for public judgment. He asked how they will take a decision if they do not show  Sunitha said that the CBI has named four accused in the first charge sheet, A1 Erra Gangireddy, A2 Sunil Yadav, A3 Umashankar Reddy and A4 Dastagiri. A1 said that Avinash is familiar with Erra Gangireddy and Sunil Yadav has a younger brother whose name is Kiran Yadav.

Sunita, who showed photos of Kiran Yadav with Avinash and Bhaskar Reddy, said that Avinash is also acquainted with A3 Umashankar Reddy. Sunitha also showed details of phone calls received from Avinash and others.  Besides clear evidence of call data, she wondered that Avinash said that he did not know who they were.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has demanded for a probe into the responsibility of the concerned police officials for the attack on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with a gravel stone. As the incident exposed the grave failure in the chief minister’s security, he wondered what is the use of assigning the same police officers responsible for these lapses to probe into the attack incident?

He asserted that an intense probe should be conducted on the role of DGP, Intelligence Chief, Vijayawada Police Commissioner and Chief Minister’s Security officials role in this attack. To ensure an impartial probe into this incident, he suggested that those officers responsible should be transferred immediately and the probe should be handed over to competent officials.

Jana Sena chief said that an impartial and independent probe only will expose the hand that threw stones and the person behind that hand will be revealed. Only then, he said that the masterminds and protagonists will be revealed.

Pawan recalled that the practice of security measures during YS Jagan visit include using curtains around the route and also cutting trees. Moreover, he holds meetings only during broad daylight. But why were all such practices given up here?, he wondered.

He further asked what is needed to suspend the electricity supply during the chief minister’s visit and make the trip in the dark? He said all security related aspects should be probed in depth so as to expose real culprits.

Pawan Kalyan reminded that security lapses were also revealed during last month’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state. He warned continuation of such incompetent officers in key positions will be a threat to security of VIPs visits in the state. Such negligent attitude of the officers in the state will question conduct of elections with transparency, he added. He asked the Central Election Commission and the Chief Election Officer of Andhra Pradesh to pay attention to this matter.

As even after three days of the incident, police failed to identify any clue with regard to stone attack on Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Vijayawada on Sunday evening, the AP Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena instructed commissioner of police Kanthi Rana Tata and inspector general of police Ravi Prakash to expedite the investigation into the attack.

He summoned both these officers to his chamber on Monday where the CEO reviewed the antecedents of the incidents. The CEO enquired with the police officials how the accused could hurl a stone in spite of the full security arrangements for the Chief Minister at the place of offence.

The CEO also asked the police officials about the information they extracted from some of the accused who were taken into custody. Meena asked the police officials to take stringent security measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents to other VIPs during the electioneering programme.

Earlier, the commissioner of police informed the chief electoral officer on the progress of investigation into the incident. He confirmed that the Chief Minister was attacked with a stone. However, he felt that it may not have been an attack with an air gun and said that there should be a clarification on what was used to throw the stone.

He said that the conclusion was reached after analyzing the available CCTV footage. They said that they have not yet identified the attacker and they are trying to identify the accused with the evidence they have. He said that 8 special teams have been formed to investigate this case.

He said that a total of 40 rope parties were organized along the bus journey. Meanwhile, Meena asked the police to take strict measures to prevent such incidents from happening again during the Chief Minister of the state and other prominent persons on their visits.

Union Minister and state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy on Monday sat on a protest “Rythu Deeksha” at the party office in Hyderabad, over the Congress government’s “failure” to fulfil the promises made to farmers. He demanded the government to pay Rs 25,000 per acre compensation to farmers whose crops were withered due to lack of irrigation water supply.  

He lamented that the Congress government has not implemented even a single guarantee given to farmers. He recalled that during the election campaign, the Congress leaders had promised to waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh but even four months after coming to power, it has failed to deliver on the promise. He recalled that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had promised that new farm loans would be waived on December 9.


Kishan Reddy also demanded that the government immediately provide Rs.15,000 per acre investment support to farmers as promised during the elections. He also demanded the implementation of the guarantee to provide Rs.12,000 every year to agriculture labourers and Rs 500 bonus per quintal of paddy. He wondered if the government had a concrete plan to implement the guarantees given to farmers.

He deplored that the Congress government is not sincere in procuring agricultural produce from farmers. “They had promised to implement the guarantees in 100 days but failed to do so,” he said. He said if the government is sincere in implementing the guarantees, it should come out with a plan and also explain to people how it wants to mobilise funds for implementing them.

Several surveys have already come out reflecting the mood of the voters in the general elections to be held in AP next month. Most national surveys are predicting a clear edge towards TDP-led NDA parties in the state.

In the same order, the results of a survey conducted by another national media organization has also predicted a clear edge towards TDP.  In a recent survey conducted by the News Channel NewsX, it has been found that there is a fierce battle between YCP and TDP-led alliance in Andhra Pradesh.

It concluded that there is a face-to-face battle between the ruling YCP and the opposition TDP. Looking at the Lok Sabha seats, the News X survey has given Telugu Desam Party a lead in the battle between YCP and TDP.

According to the NewsX Opinion Poll, the TDP alone is likely to win 14 MP seats in the state’s 25 MP seats. Also, TDP’s ally BJP has a chance to win two MP seats and Jana Sena has a chance to win both seats, according to the NewsX Opinion Poll.

This means that the NDA alliance is likely to win 18 of the 25 MP seats in the state. It has been concluded that the ruling YCP will get only 7 MP seats.

If these figures are applied to the assembly seats, the NDA alliance will get up to 126 seats. YCP is going to get 49 seats. It may be recalled that the recent CNN- News18 and India Today surveys also revealed that the TDP alliance will win the lion’s share of MP seats.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy accused that for the release of his daughter Kavitha, who is in jail since a month in Delhi Liquor Scam, BRS chief K Chandrasekhar locked into a `dark deal’ with BJP and extending support for the victory of BJP candidates in several constituencies.

Attending as a chief guest at Congress party’s  `Jana Jatara Sabha’  at the Narayanpet district center, he alleged that both BRS and BJP made conspiracies to defeat the Congress candidates in the Lok Sabha constituencies of Mahabubnagar, Chevella, Malkazgiri, Zaheerabad and Bhuvanagiri.

That’s why, he explained that none of the BRS former MLAs in the respective constituencies are even asking for votes going to villages.  By making the BRS hostage to the BJP, he lamented that the BRS activists and leaders have been surrendering at the feet of Prime Minister Modi.

He alleged that KCR did not feel hurt when he and other party leaders and activists were jailed, making them  leave their children. He recalled how he was arrested at midnight at the time of his daughter’s marriage.

But, he said in anger that KCR is putting Telangana’s self-respect as a hostage after his daughter was kept in jail. He alleged that during recent assembly elections also both BJP and BRS were colluded. He lamented that BJP helped BRS candidates win in constituencies like Gadwala and now BRS is helping BJP.

Revanth Reddy wondered why KCR seemed in a hurry to destabilize his 100-day government, but kept silent on 10-year Modi’s government at the center. He asked why KCR did not mention failures of the Modi government at all.

In recent assembly elections, he recalled that BJP national vice president DK Aruna had colluded with BRS and helped its candidate to win defeating a BC fielded by Congress.

He challenged DK Aruna to reveal that during the last 10 years she had brought a single rupee for the development of Palamuru from Prime Minister Narendra Modi? Did DK Aruna bring any new paisa from Modi for Palamuru? Did she fight for a new railway line? Did she ask Modi for the Palamuru Ranga Reddy Project?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi  accused the opposition parties of “spreading lies” over the electoral bonds scheme, which has been struck down by the Supreme Court, and said “everyone will regret it when there is an honest reflection”.

In an interview, PM Modi said the electoral bonds scheme was aimed at curbing black money in elections and said the opposition wants to run away after making allegations.

In his first detailed reaction to the electoral bonds scheme, PM Modi, who has been on a hectic campaign for the Lok Sabha polls, said the scheme should also be viewed as a “success story” as it has allowed the trail to show who had made contributions to political parties through the scheme. He also said there is a lot of scope for improvement in the scheme.

Modi said there was debate in Parliament on the electoral bonds scheme when the relevant bill was passed and some of those who are now commenting on it had supported it.

The PM said that of the 3,000 companies that gave donations through the scheme, 26 faced action by probe agencies such as ED. He said of these 26 companies, there were 16 who took electoral bonds when they faced action. “Of these (16 companies) 37 per cent of the amount went to BJP and 63 per cent to opposition parties opposed to BJP.”

Modi said that he has “big plans” for the country upon his return to office after the Lok Sabha elections.  “I have big plans…kissi ko darne ki zaroorat nahin hai. My decisions are not made to scare anyone or to diminish anyone. They are made for the overall development of the country,” said PM Modi. PM said that his aim is to increase the speed and the scale of development in the country in my next term.

 In his ‘Vision 2047 ‘ for the country, PM Modi says, “This is not just Modi’s vision, the ownership of this vision belongs to the whole country. I don’t want to waste even a minute.”

Refuting the opposition parties’ allegations of “being sent to jail by the BJP government”, Prime Minister Modi said that the maximum number of cases registered by the Enforcement Directorate are against those persons and entities who have no connection with politics.

“How many opposition leaders are in jail? No one tells me. And is this the same opposition leader… who used to run their government? There is fear of sin (paap ka dar hai). What fear does an honest person have? They had put my Home Minister in Jail when I was Chief Minister”, he said.

“The country should understand that political leaders are involved in only 3 percent of the ED cases and 97 per cent of cases are registered against the ones who do not belong to the politics. They are either drug mafia, officers who are involved in corruption, against some of the officers who have created benami assets and they have been sent to jail,” Prime Minister added.

When asked about the lack of a ‘level playing field’ and the alleged influence over agencies like the ED, CBI, and EC, PM Modi said, “Out of these, not a single law ( ED, CBI filing cases) was brought by my government, on the contrary, Election Commission reforms were brought by my Government…Those close to the ‘family’ were made Election Commissioners who later got Rajya Sabha seats and ministries…We (BJP) can’t play at that level.”

Two Suspects In Shooting Incident At Salman’s House Arrested In Bhuj

In a major development in the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s home in Bandra, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Tuesday said it has arrested two accused from Gujarat’s Bhuj.  

According to the Crime Branch Sources, the names of the two arrested accused are Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21). “Both the accused shooters are from Bihar’s West Champaran. Cases like theft, chain snatching are already registered against them,” they added.

Earlier, the Mumbai Police had released the pictures and CCTV footage of the two suspects who opened fire outside the residence of the actor on Sunday.

The shooting happened in the early hours of Sunday after motorcycle-borne shooters had opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments, Khan’s residence. Police said the suspects had their faces covered and the incident was a meticulously planned one. A total of four rounds were fired by the accused and a live cartridge was recovered from the spot.

The probe also found that the accused were last spotted at Mira Road around 6.15am, nearly an hour after the attack, following which they went off the police radar. The branch had sent teams to Rajasthan, Delhi and Bihar for further investigation.

Meanwhile, the police official investigating the incident said on Monday that the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the Facebook post claiming responsibility for the firing has been traced to Portugal. Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi had claimed responsibility for the firing, calling it the “first and last warning”. 

Police suspect a VPN (virtual private network) was used for uploading the Facebook post. A VPN establishes a digital connection between a computer and a remote server owned by a VPN provider, creating a point-to-point tunnel that encrypts personal data, masks IP addresses, and allows the user to sidestep website blocks and firewalls on the Internet.

“The IP address of the FB post was traced to Portugal. We are verifying,” the officer added. Meanwhile, the family members of the actor have raised their concerns over the security provided to Khan. What particularly scared the family was that one of the four bullets was lodged in the balcony of the flat where the actor, who enjoys Y-plus security, resides. The actor was sleeping at his residence when the firing took place.

In the wake of the shooting, the Mumbai Police has enhanced security at the Galaxy Apartment. “The actor has Y+ category security cover, but after the firing, the number of police personnel guarding him has been increased,” an officer told reporters.
