YSRCP General Secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has launched a fierce attack on the Andhra Pradesh coalition government, accusing it of targeting YSRCP leaders in a systematic manner through political pressure and false cases. Addressing the media, Sajjala threatened that both ruling leaders and spineless officials would be punished once YSRCP comes back to power.

He accused the present government of employing fake cases as a weapon to stifle opposition voices, particularly the active ones in the field. Sajjala underlined that such politically motivated harassment would be given no scope for being ignored and promised that all the false cases registered against YSRCP leaders would be thoroughly probed. He also cautioned that the officials who went beyond their limits by acting under political pressure would face action.

Referring to a recent incident in Gudivada, Sajjala said Zilla Parishad Chairperson Uppala Harika was attacked by TDP members while heading to a YSRCP event. Shockingly, he claimed that the police stood by as the incident took place and even attempted to drag her vehicle using ropes. “Instead of controlling the mob, police acted as silent spectators,” Sajjala remarked. To make matters worse, he alleged that a counter-case was registered against Harika’s husband, Uppala Ramu, after the assault.

“Are the police here to uphold the law or to follow party orders?” Sajjala questioned, expressing serious concern over the law enforcement’s neutrality. He pointed out that even though the High Court had clearly directed lower courts not to approve remand orders without due process, the police continue to abuse their authority under political pressure.

Referring to more incidents, Sajjala cited the attack on MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy’s residence in Nellore, and preventing TDP leader Kethireddy Pedda Reddy from entering Tadipatri against court directions. He also charged the state administration with registering frivolous cases against YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy during his recent trips to Bangarupalyam, Podili, and other constituencies.

In conclusion to his speech, Sajjala promised that YSRCP, when it returned to power, would reopen all politically motivated cases not just for review but also order investigations against officials who abused their authority. “Let no one misread our silence for weakness,” he declared, giving a stern warning to both the ruling parties and bureaucrats who overstep their limits.
