TDP’s Joint Manifesto A Shower Of Promises On Women, Farmers, BCs And The Unemployed

The joint election manifesto released by NDA alliance partners Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena and BJP have showered a wave of promises to women, farmers and unemployed. It was jointly released by TDP chief and former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan and BJP state in-charge Siddharth Nath Singh at TDP chief’s residence in Undavalli.

The NDA alliance, which is already going public with the Super Six schemes, has made this manifesto with some other promises. Manifesto 2024 included already declared promises of increase in social pensions to Rs.4,000, 3   free gas cylinders per year and free travel in RTC buses for women.

Along with this, Chandrababu already announced his first signature as Chief Minister will be on Mega DSC, along with increasing the social pension to Rs.4,000 from April 2024 onwards. Further, the pension for the disabled will be increased to Rs. 6,000. BCs will be given pension only after 50 years of age.

It has already been announced that Rs.18,000 per year will be given to every woman who turns 18 under the girl child fund at the rate of Rs.1,500 per month. 20 lakh jobs in five years at the rate of 4 lakh per annum for youth and Rs 3,000 unemployment allowance to the youth.

Promises include financial assistance at the rate of Rs.15,000  per year to the children studying under ‘Thalliki Vandanam’, investment assistance of Rs. 20,000 per year for farmers and increase of honorarium of volunteers to Rs. 10,000.

Guarantees include two cents house land for every poor family and good house construction with quality materials. Free sand, special law to protect BCs. Free tap connection to every house. Supply of clean drinking water.  Abolition of Land Rights Act. No increase in electricity charges.

500 units of free electricity for handloom workers. Rs.1 lakh as wedding gift..Revival of foreign education scheme. Resumption of festival gifts. Stopping low-quality liquor and controlling prices.

Promised to implement 33 percent reservation for BCs in the legislatures, Rs 10 lakh subsidy to MSMEs and startups and Rs 5,000 crore allocation under the Adharana scheme. The alliance also promised to implement the 10 percent EBC reservation brought by the NDA in the state.

The three parties promised to continue Amaravati as the capital and Rs.1.50 lakh crore will be spent in five years through the BC sub plan. It said that Rs.10,000 crores will be spent annually for the self-employment of BCs. Dwakra will give interest-free loans up to Rs.10 lakh.

It promissed toddy workers to be given 10 percent reservation in liquor shops and 15 percent reservation in quarries for vaders. Nai Brahmins working in temples will be given an honorarium of Rs.2,000. A special corporation for goldsmiths.

Promised government employees timely salaries and to restore their self-respect. Rs 25 lakh health insurance to every family. Committed to completion of Polavaram and other important irrigation projects.

TDP Suspended Six Rebel Candidates From The Party

Telugu Desam Party has suspended six key leaders from the party, as they are contesting as rebel candidates in their respective constituencies in the Assembly polls, violating party directions. TDP state president Achchennaidu issued orders on their suspension.

Siveri Abraham (Araku Constituency), Mesala Geetha (Vizianagaram  Constituency), Paramata Shyamsunder (Amalapuram Constituency), Mudiam Suryachandra Rao (Polavaram Constituency), Vetukuri Venkata Sivaramaju (Undi Constituency) and Jadda Rajakhar (Satyavedu Constituency) have been suspended from the party. The party took this extreme action as they failed to withdraw their nominations before deadline.

Meanwhile, TDP has appointed assembly constituency election coordinators for 15 constituencies. The party has appointed Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy as the TDP Election Coordinator for Srisailam Assembly Constituency. Palakurthi Thikkareddy for Mantralaya, Vooka Vijaykumar for Madanapalli, Gundumala Tippeswamy for Madakasira, Vantala Rajeshwari for Rampachodavaram, Chadipiralla Sivanatha Reddy for Punganur, Erasu Prathapa Reddy for Nandyala, Magunta Raghava Reddy for Markapuram, Buddha Nagajagadish for Paderu, Mallela Rajasekhar for Panyam and Gonuguntla Vijaykumar for Raptadu have been appointed as election coordinators.

Gadde Baburao and Kucharlapati Trimurthula Raju were appointed as coordinators for Chipurupalli and GV Praveenkumar Reddy, Chamarthi Jaganmohan Raju and Poli Subbareddy for Rajampet. AP TDP president Achchennaidu claimed that these appointments were made on the orders of party chief Chandrababu Babu.

Meanwhile, former MLA Muddaraboina Venkateswara Rao met TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu in Nandikotkur. Venkateswara Rao, who contested as a rebel candidate from Nuziveedu, withdrew his nomination before meeting the party chief.

The upcoming action-drama, helmed by director Krish and jointly backed by A. Dayakar Rao and A.M. Rathnam under the banner of Mega Surya Productions. Adding to the anticipation, musical maestro M.M. Keeravani is composing the musical score. The film stars Pawan Kalyan as the main lead, along with Nidhi Agerwal, Bobby Deol, Nora Fatehi, Arjun Rampal, and others in pivotal roles.

Now, All Eyes On TDP-JSP Manifesto Ahead Of Polls

A few days ago, YSRCP president and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released his party’s manifesto, seeking another term of rule in Andhra Pradesh. Quite surprisingly, the schemes and freebies offered by Jagan in the latest manifesto didn’t gain much traction among the public because they featured more or less the same policies that were promised prior to the 2019 elections. Even the party supporters and leaders are highly disappointed with the manifesto because, except for the enhancement in the monetary benefits of the existing ‘Navaratnalu’ (9 schemes), it didn’t offer anything concrete on some of the key factors that have been grappling with the state. 

Now, all eyes are on the combined manifesto of the alliance partners, the TDP, Janasena, and BJP, which is likely to be out this morning. TDP president Chandra Babu Naidu and Janasena supremo Pawan Kalyan, along with BJP leaders, will announce the manifesto through a press conference. Political analysts opine that the manifesto by the NDA alliance will play a significant role in deciding the outcome of the assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh this time. 

Even before the announcement of the election schedule, Chandra Babu Naidu promised to implement a bunch of schemes for different sectors if he was voted to power this time. Some of the significant freebies include an increment of the existing pension from Rs 3000 to Rs 4000 at a time, monthly assistance of Rs 1500 to women, free bus services to women of all age groups, three gas cylinders for each household, and Rs 3000 for unemployed youth every month. 

Besides these freebies, Naidu also vowed to release the Mega DSC to fill the long-pending vacancies and also give away 20 lakh jobs to the youth in the next five years. He also promised to continue the existing volunteer system with a salary of Rs 10,000 and also deposit Rs 15,000 for school-going children.

All these promises are going to make a cut in the manifesto, as per reliable reports. Moreover, it is likely to include information about the government’s plans to revive Amaravati as the sole capital of the state. The manifesto may also feature information about shaping up Vizag as an IT hub in the next five years.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP has already started to criticize Naidu’s poll promises as fake and claims that the budget of the state is not sufficient to implement all these freebies in the next five years. They are sending a message to the public that Naidu has a poor track record of implementing his poll promises in the past. 

Amidst this backdrop, it would be interesting to see the response of the public to the manifesto of the alliance in Andhra Pradesh.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan made key allegations against YCP government assuming that it had intentionally turned the movement into violence to sabotage. Taking part in Varahi Vijaya Yatra in Jaggampeta of Kakinada district, he alleged that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy plotted to deny Kapu reservations.

He said that Kapu youth were kidnapped during Kapu reservation stir and Jagan’s hired goons set fire in Tunai, resulting in weakening of the movement. He said that any movement should be honest, otherwise innocent people will be victimized.

In the Kapu reservation movement, he alleged the YCP leaders already knew that they would not get reservations. However, the plan was to deceive and exploit the Kapus, but the Kapus reservation movement was incompletely adapted to suit them.

According to him, the entire Kapu reservation movement in 2014 was under the watchful eye of YCP leaders. He said that leaders like Kakinada Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy and Tirupati’s Karunakar Reddy knew that they would not get reservation, but they pushed for a movement for their vested interests.

Any movement should proceed non-violently with a step direction and that should influence everyone in the society and gather their support. However, Pawan Kalyan deplored that during the Kapu reservation movement, the train was set on fire by the YCP gangs with coconut rent gangs. Innocent Kapu youths faced cases for the work done by the mercenaries and their whole life was put in vain.

Pawan Kalyan in this regard to decades-old MMRPS movement and the separate Telangana state movement and said that they all fought together with determination and achieved.

Pawan Kalyan said “The Prime Minister supported the SC classification today as a result of the two decades long movement of Manda Krishna Madiga. Whether it is a caste movement or a state movement, it should work as a trinity. Otherwise the innocent youth of the society will fall prey to gossip”.

వర్తమాన రాజకీయాల్లో సిద్ధాంతాలు అనే పదానికి నిర్వచనం తెలిసిన వ్యక్తులు అసలు ఉండరు. కేవలం అవకాశ వాదులు మాత్రమే ఉంటారు. ఈ ఎన్నికల్లో ఏ పార్టీ గెలుస్తుందనే నమ్మకాన్ని బట్టి, లేదా, తమ గతిలేనితనాన్ని బట్టి మాత్రమే వారు ఏదో ఒక పార్టీలో కొనసాగుతూ ఉంటారు. ఫలానా పార్టీ ఖచ్చితంగా గెలుస్తుందని తెలిసి, ఆ పార్టీలో దూరి టికెట్లు దక్కించుకోవడానికి అవకాశం ఉంటే.. తమ సిద్ధాంతం కోసం వేరే పార్టీలో కొనసాగేవారు నూటికో కోటికో ఒకరు ఉంటే ఎక్కువ. ఈ సిద్ధాంతం ప్రకారం చూసినప్పుడు జనసేనలో చేరితో తెలుగుదేశంతో కలిసిన కూటమి అధికారంలోకి వస్తుందని నమ్మి ముందు వారితో బేరాలు మాట్లాడుకున్నా కాపునేత ముద్రగడ పద్మనాభం తర్వాత వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్లో చేరారు. వైసీపీ గెలుస్తుందని ఆయన నమ్మి ఉండవచ్చు. ఆయన నమ్మకం ఆయన ఇష్టం. అయితే.. ఇప్పుడు వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ తనను సరిగా వాడుకోవడం లేదని ఆయన దిగులుపడిపోతున్నారట.

గోదావరి జిల్లాల్లోని తన స్వగ్రామం నుంచి రెండువేల కార్లతో తాడేపల్లికి వెళ్లి జగన్ సమక్షంలో పార్టీలో చేరాలని ముద్రగడ అనుకున్నారు. అయితే.. అంత ఓవరాక్షన్ వద్దని తాడేపల్లి వర్గాల నుంచి మొట్టికాయ పడిన తర్వాత.. తన కొడుకుతో మాత్రం కలిసి, గుట్టుచప్పుడు కాకుండా తాడేపల్లి వచ్చి కండువా కప్పించుకుని.. జగన్ ను కీర్తించి వెళ్లిపోయారు. ఆ సందర్భంగా ఆయన వైసీపీ మళ్లీ గెలుస్తుందని అంటూనే.. జగన్ ను మళ్లీ సీఎం చేయడానికి రాష్ట్రమంతా తిరిగి ప్రచారం చేయడానికి కూడా సిద్ధం అని ప్రకటించారు. తాను ఏ పదవీ కోరుకోవడం లేదని అంటూనే.. జగన్ ఏ పదవి ఇచ్చినా తీసుకుంటానని ఆశను బయటపెట్టారు. నిజానికి ఆయన కాపు కులస్తుల్ని కూడగట్టడానికి రాష్ట్రమంతా తనను తిప్పుతారని ఆశించారు. ఆ తర్వాత జగన్ ప్రభుత్వం వచ్చినా రాకపోయినా చేసిన సేవలకు రాజ్యసభ సభ్యత్వం అడగవచ్చునని ప్లాన్ చేసుకున్నారు. కానీ జగన్ ఆయనను పార్టీలో చేర్చుకుని పక్కన పెట్టేశారు. ఇంటికే పరిమితం చేశారు. ఒక్కఊరిలో ప్రచారానికి కూడా పిలవలేదు. కనీసం ఆ ప్రాంతంలో సిద్ధం సభలు నిర్వహించినప్పుడు వేదికమీదికి కూడా రానివ్వలేదు.

ముద్రగడ వల్ల కాపు ఓట్లు వైసీపీకి అనుకూలంగా మారుతాయి అనే భావనే ఆయనకు రాకుండా చేసేశారు. తనను జగన్ ఫుల్లుగా వాడుకుంటే.. అప్పుడు తాను ఏదైనా పదవులు అడగడానికి అవకాశం ఉంటుంది గానీ.. తనను వాడుకోకపోతే ఏం పదవులు అడగగలడు? అదే ఆయన దిగులు? ఆ పార్టీ గెలిచినా ఓడినా తనకు దక్కేదేం ఉండదు అని భయపడుతున్నట్టున్నారు. అందుకే ముద్రగడ పద్మనాభం తనను ప్రచారానికి కించిత్తు వాడుకోకపోయినా.. తానే ప్రెస్ మీట్లు పెడుతూ.. పార్టీకోసం ఏదో పనిచేస్తున్నట్టుగా బిల్డప్ ఇవ్వడానికరి చంద్రబాబును, పవన్ తిడుతూ గడుపుతున్నారు. ముద్రగడ పద్మనాభం పరిస్థితి చూస్తే జాలి కలుగుతున్నదని కాపు నాయకులే అంటున్నారు.

Accusing that no justice has been done to any government employee in the last five years, former chief minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu lamented that Chief MInister Jaganmohan Reddy has become like a monster in their lap.

He recalled how Jagan cheated government employees on Contributory Pension Scheme (CPSA); he promised a special policy  after the TDP alliance came to power. He assured that justice will be done to the employees during his tenure. He also assured timely PRC and pensions.

As part of his state-wide election campaign, Naidu addressed a massive public meeting in Nandikotkur of Nandyala district. Ridiculing CM Jagan’s claim of creating government jobs, the TDP chief said that if his government had created lakhs of IT jobs for our youth, Jagan would have given only volunteer jobs to about 5,000 youth. When the unemployed ask about jobs, he shows fishmarts, he added.

When the TDP comes to power, he assured that it will take the responsibility of conducting a census to facilitate the skill development of the youth and provide them with training and employment in the field of their choice. Soon after coming to power, he said Mega DSC will be signed and 4 lakh jobs will be provided annually.

He asserted that the coalition government should come to the state to get jobs for the youth. He said there is no other CM in the country except CM Jagan who has not gone to the secretariat for five years and has not held a single press conference in five years. He alleged that the Jagan government is trying to steal people’s properties  by bringing the Land Titling Act.

Naidu deplored that during Jagan’s regime our youth are being made addicted to cannabis by turning drugs into a state. Has even a single farmer’s life in the state improved in these five years? Have people’s living standards improved? Has any category improved?, he asked.

Chandrababu said that Jagan has destroyed agriculture. He called Jagan a robber and he appealed that people should not vote for the person who killed his own uncle  and filed a case against his younger sister.
