Minister Savita says Democracy won In Pulivendula, Ontimitta ZPTC By-polls

District in-charge Minister Savita said that democracy won in the Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC by-elections and TDP candidates won a huge majority. She alleged that in Pulivendula, the YS family had been winning local elections for 40 years by intimidation and concealment. She appreciated that in Pulivendula, B.Tech Ravi bravely fielded his wife in the elections and with the support of the alliance, she won with a huge majority.

She said that when people were told to go door to door and vote boldly, they came boldly and voted democratically for the first time. She said that people laughed when Avinash Reddy went door to door asking Save Democracy to vote. She criticized both Jaganmohan Reddy and Avinash Reddy knowing well that TDP would win and for the past 4 days, have been creating drama and trying to cancel the elections.

Savita warned that Jaganmohan Reddy should know that the people are boycotting the YSRCP itself. Jaganmohan Reddy, who won in Pulivendula, alleged that he has never been a sinner who cared about Pulivendula. She said that in the past, B.Tech Ravi won, and now he has made his wife win.

Jammalamadugu BJP MLA Adinarayana Reddy said that real democracy came from cruel democracy in Pulivendula. He said that the victory of Pulivendula is the result of the alliance’s struggle against the anarchic rule of YSRCP and the exploitation of funds, and the victory of Pulivendula is due to the development of Chandrababu and Modi.

He said that now it was exposed that the former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy was closed, with both Avinash Reddy and Bharati closely monitoring and silencing the police. He said that the YS family, who lost in the local elections, should be ashamed.

Former MLC B.Tech Ravi said that this is a people’s victory and everyone in the district cooperated.  He deplored that even today, people are not able to vote freely in Pulivendula.

He said that there are more health benefits with less alcohol consumption and made it clear that land registration values should be in line with the market rate. He suggested that decisions should be made based on a scientific analysis of land transactions.

The Chief Minister said that leaks should be identified through AI and data analytics and technology should be used to prevent tax evasion. He suggested that technology should be fully utilized to increase revenue and vehicle tax collection should be monitored with the help of RTC and CC cameras. He suggested that the scrap vehicle policy should be implemented as per the central guidelines.

Chandrababu said that the existing subsidies should be continued to encourage the use of EVs. He believed that this would help in environmental protection. He said that technology should be used to prevent irregularities in mining. He said that data analysis should be done based on drones and satellites and income should be tracked. He said that steps should be taken to implement auto mutation in municipalities.

TDP Victories Mark Voter Choice After Decades: Pawan Kalyan

Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has lauded the victories of Telugu Desam Party candidates in the Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC by-elections, stating that the wins have brought immense satisfaction to the people of the respective mandals. He extended his congratulations to the winning candidates, Lata Reddy and Muddu Krishna Reddy.

Speaking on the elections, Pawan Kalyan criticized the previous local body polls conducted under the YSRCP, alleging that opposition nominations were blocked and attempts to file nominations were met with intimidation and attacks. He emphasized that while alliances can be facilitated, unilateral actions prevent a truly democratic outcome. He noted that the presence of competition in Pulivendula enabled voters to exercise their democratic right at polling stations, breaking away from the long-standing trend of uncontested elections.

The Deputy CM further remarked that Pulivendula voters were able to vote for candidates of their choice for the first time in three decades, reflecting the prevailing political scenario in the state. He stated that the ZPTC by-elections followed proper nomination procedures, with candidates campaigning actively and the public delivering a clear verdict. Pawan Kalyan also criticized parties that attempted to obstruct the process at various stages and expressed displeasure over unwarranted comments directed at the government. He commended the police, election staff, and officials for ensuring that the elections were conducted smoothly without any incidents of violence.

YS Sharmila Slams CM Jagan, Calls Him “Brand of Backdoor Deals”

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President YS Sharmila has launched a sharp critique of Chief Minister YS Jagan, accusing him of being the “brand of backdoor deals” and questioning his claims of having a “hotline” with national leaders. She described his public display tours and use of vehicles to influence people as laughable, noting that Rahul Gandhi remains unaware of such tactics.

Addressing the media, Sharmila said Rahul Gandhi is committed to protecting citizens and upholding the Indian Constitution. She alleged that while Jagan claims a hotline with Prime Minister Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah, he has no such connection with former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. She challenged Jagan to respond publicly and accused him of relying on shortcuts and preferential treatment, unlike Rahul Gandhi, who does not intervene when party leaders face legal action.

Sharmila further alleged that Jagan engages in corrupt politics, bowing to Modi and supporting all BJP-introduced bills. She also criticized him for disparaging Manikyam Thakur while avoiding discussion on challenges raised by him, claiming this demonstrates a lack of courage and propriety. Sharmila added, “We called him an adopted son because he is in hotline contact with Modi. If he is confident, he should go to the Assembly and ask questions. During debates on vote fraud in Parliament, he remains silent. Can anyone criticize Rahul for fighting for the country’s future?”

Bipasha Basu Responds to Mrunal Thakur with Empowering Social Media Post

Actress Mrunal Thakur, known for her role in Seetaramam, has once again been in the headlines following the resurfacing of an old video in which she made comments about Bipasha Basu. Earlier, Mrunal had been in the spotlight due to dating rumours, but this recent development has reignited discussions around her.

Bipasha Basu appears to have indirectly responded through a social media post aimed at empowering women. Sharing a quote, she stated, “Strong women always work for each other’s growth. All women should be strong and resilient. Only then can they be physically and mentally healthy. Step out of the outdated notion that girls shouldn’t appear strong.” She captioned the post, “Always love yourself,” which netizens interpreted as a subtle rebuttal to Mrunal.

The controversy stems from a video in which Mrunal reportedly claimed that she is more beautiful than Bipasha and implied that Bipasha appears masculine in comparison. The clip has since gone viral, drawing criticism from several Bollywood celebrities.

In addition, Mrunal addressed ongoing rumours linking her with actor Dhanush, clarifying that he is only a friend. She noted that Dhanush attended the Son of Sardaar 2 event solely at the invitation of Ajay Devgn and described the circulating speculations as amusing, putting an end to the conjecture.

Aamir Khan Opens Up on Fear, Risk-Taking and Film Choices

Veteran actor Aamir Khan, known for entertaining audiences with distinctive stories for over three decades, recently spoke about his approach to filmmaking and risk-taking in a candid interview. The actor, whose latest film Sitaare Zameen Par has won widespread acclaim, revealed that he still experiences anxiety before every film release and consciously chooses stories that challenge him.

“Before the release of every film, I feel a lot of fear, which is intensified by the kinds of stories I pick. I am drawn to projects with risk. While working on Dangal, I gained significant weight, and everyone assumed it would take two years to get back to normal. Similarly, during Dhoom 3, people focused on my age, even though I was nearing 50. Despite that, I chose these films, took the risks, and completed them,” Aamir said.

He also discussed his decision to release Sitaare Zameen Par on YouTube. “The decision was carefully made to benefit the industry. While nothing can replace the theatre experience, only three percent of the population can watch films in theatres. Sitaare Zameen Par reached over a crore viewers in theatres, and to bring it to the wider audience afterward, YouTube was the ideal platform. I plan to release all my future films in a similar manner,” he added.

Recently, Aamir watched Sitaare Zameen Par with jawans, enjoying scenes together. A video from the screening is now circulating online.

Anupama Parameswaran Opens Up on Challenges for Women in Tollywood

Actress Anupama Parameswaran is set to make a strong impression with her upcoming film Paradha, directed by Praveen Kandregula, which is scheduled for release on August 22. As part of the promotional tour, Anupama has been sharing insights about her career and experiences in the film industry.

Reflecting on her journey, she noted the challenges faced by women in Tollywood. “Continuing in this industry is very challenging. Even small requests from heroines are often taken seriously by the crew. Earlier, speaking up about issues could get you labelled as difficult. Shooting schedules rarely start on time, and even if co-stars arrive late, I had to be ready on time and wait. Initially, this used to bother me, but now I’ve learned not to let it affect me,” she said.

Anupama further highlighted gender disparities, saying, “During waiting times, one could discuss film-related matters, but directors or producers dismiss it with ‘It’s my money, why do you care?’ However, if a hero raises the same point, there is no objection. This reflects a broader issue of how women are perceived both inside and outside the industry.”

She expressed optimism about Paradha, emphasizing that a commercial hit would encourage more films of this nature in the future.
