Raghuram Raju Is Adamant To Contest From Narsapur!

Narsapur MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who fought a constant battle against Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime for the last four years, is now turning to be a headache to both TDP and BJP. After the BJP denied him the party seat from Narsapur he became disappointed and insisted that he wanted to contest from there only.

He also became angry over news reports that TDP may consider fielding him from Vizianagaram Lok Sabha or some Assembly seat in West Godavari district and asserted that he wanted to contest from Narsapur only. Moreover, he said that it will be the responsibility of the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu to facilitate him to contest from there.

Meanwhile, he is also said to be facing pressures from various quarters, including some TDP circles to contest from Narsapur as an independent candidate. If he is in the fray, observers feel that it may be difficult for BJP to get a deposit.

He recalled that at the first TDP and Jana Sena combined rally last month in Tadepalligudem, leaders of both the parties declared him as Narsapur candidate. Accusing BJP leadership bowed down to the pressures from Chief MInister YS Jaganmohan Reddy in denying his nomination, he strongly refuted state BJP chief D Purandeswari’s explanation for not considering his name.

If seniority is the reason, he asked Purandewari how she is contesting from Rajahmundry ignoring the claims of senior BJP leader Somu Veerraju? In the same way, row over his joining BJP, he asked how Tirupati seat was given to YCP MLA Vara Prasada Rao, even before he joined BJP and continued in YCP. He accused that Vara Prasada Rao was a covert, planted by YS Jagan.

Asserting that it is now Chandrababu’s task to get him contested from Narsapur. He wondered if Babu fails in his nomination, how can he realise Polavaram and other difficult promises.

Kejriwal To Make Explosive Revelation In Delhi Court Tomorrow

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, in her second media address on Wednesday, said the chief minister, who is in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi Excise Policy case, will do a ‘big expose’ on the “so-called Delhi liquor scam” in the court on Thursday.

He will present evidence that will reveal the truth, she added. She also said that he will reveal where the money of the scam is and also provide evidence.  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener was arrested by the ED on March 21 in an excise policy-linked money laundering case and subsequently remanded to the agency’s custody till March 28.

Sunita Kejriwal claimed that no money was found in multiple raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). She highlighted that over the past two years, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted over 250 raids but has not found any money.

She clarified that only Rs 70 thousand were found during the raid at their house. Kejriwal intends to disclose the whereabouts of this money and provide evidence to the nation.  “The ED has raided the residences of several Delhi ministers but couldn’t find a single penny. In the so-called liquor scam, ED has conducted more than 250 raids”, she said.

“They are searching for the money of this so-called scam. They have found nothing yet. Where is the money?  Arvind Kejriwal has said that he will reveal everything in the court on March 28. He will reveal where the money of the liquor scam is. He will also provide proof,” she added.

“Two days ago, he directed Delhi Minister Atishi to resolve the water and sewer-related issues. What wrong did he do? The Centre has filed a case against Arvind Kejriwal even for this. Do they want to finish Delhi? Do they want to destroy Delhi? Do they want the people to keep suffering? Arvind Kejriwal is very pained by this,” said Sunita Kejriwal.

Sunita mentioned that she visited Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday evening and expressed concern about his health, noting his diabetes and fluctuating sugar levels. “I met Arvind Kejriwal in jail yesterday, he has diabetes and his sugar level is not under control. However, his determination is strong,” she said.

Panic In AP As EC Seeking Prior Permission For Door To Door Campaign

Political parties in AP had to panic after the Election Commission announced that cases will be filed if door-to-door campaigning is carried out without prior permission. All the political parties have objected to the unprecedented restrictions imposed on door-to-door campaigning in the latest elections.

On Tuesday, in a meeting held by the chief electoral officer of the Election Commission M K Meena at the AP Secretariat, the parties objected as they were told to provide the route map 48 hours before door-to-door campaigning and to take permissions on the Suvidha app.

The political parties appealed to re-examine the requirement to take permission 48 hours before the door-to-door distribution of election leaflets and campaigning on the streets by the candidates contesting the election.

The CPM has objected to the removal of party flags from state and district party offices as well. It asked for clarification on the removal of banners and flags in the offices.

In the context of the election code of conduct in the state, Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Meena said that the Suvidha portal should be used to get prior permission for the meetings, meetings, rallies, processions, door-to-door campaigns, distribution of leaflets etc. organized by the political parties and their representatives.

Meena requested that the application should be made through the Suvidha app or directly to the concerned Returning Officer 48 hours prior to the campaign. Permissions will be granted within 24 hours of application. Meena explained that ECI has designed the Suvidha portal to file nominations and affidavits online and apply online for granting advance permissions.

All political parties have objected to the 48-hour rule. They stated that it is not possible to carry out door-to-door campaigns after finalizing the route map, reminding that no such rule exists in any state where assembly elections were held recently. The parties reminded that there was no need to take permission for door-to-door campaigning even in Telangana assembly elections.

On the other hand, TDP Polit Bureau member Bonda Uma accused the Election Commission CEO of not responding to TDP’s complaints. It is stated that the CEO was told that it is objectionable to take permission every time and promised to bring the restrictions on door-to-door campaigning to the attention of the Central Election Commission.

He accused the Election Commission of not paying attention to the complaints against the ruling party. He said that there is no response to the complaint made in the Sea Whistle app.

The YCP also objected to the permission for door-to-door campaigning. MLA Malladi Vishnu said that it is difficult to tell where the candidates are going 48 hours in advance and it is not possible to get permission even for pamphlets. He said that they have requested to relax the 48 hours rule.

BCs Fire Over Reddy’s Domination In Telangana Congress

Since Congress came to power in Telangana, the seniors are unable to digest CM Revanth Reddy’s one-man show in the party and government. Moreover, BC leaders are burning with anger that they are not getting proper recognition especially in the party and the government.

He is threatening to take disciplinary action against the BC leaders who pointed out the mistakes of the PCC leadership, but at the same time, keeps silent over harsh comments by senior Reddy leaders. PCC Working President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud’s warning on Monday that if the BC leaders express their concerns, no matter how senior they are, disciplinary action has been added to the fire, the leaders say.

Looking at the latest developments in the party, seniors are expressing concern that it is turning into ‘BC vs. Reddy’. BC leaders are questioning what is the sign of warning that disciplinary action will be taken if suggestions are made for the good of the party. When leaders like Komatireddy brothers and Janga Reddy  make wild accusations against Revanth Reddy, the party maintains silence.

Even though Komatireddy Venkata Reddy had earlier accused Revanth Reddy of buying the post of PCC president by giving money to AICC state in-charge Manikkam Tagore, the Congress leadership did not respond. Venkat Reddy openly called for the victory of his brother Rajagopal Reddy, who stood as a BJP candidate in the previous by-election.

Even though the AICC gave him a show cause notice, no action was taken against him even though he told the media that he had thrown it in the trash. Rajagopal Reddy however announced that he joined BJP because he could not work under the leadership of Revanth Reddy.

PCC working president Jagga Reddy wrote a letter to Rahul Gandhi saying that if Revanth Reddy is not removed as PCC president, he will resign from his post. However, there is no record of disciplinary action being taken against them. Several leaders are angry over differential treatment being given to the leaders of forward and BC sections in the party.

Particularly, Munnuru Kapu leaders in the party are deploring alleged injustice to them by the leadership. While BRS and BJP giving preference to the leaders of this community in ticket selections and also party positions, they allege the Congress leadership intentionally ignoring them.
