Naveen Chandra once more captivates audiences with his portrayal of the resolute inspector, delving into the complexities of his character as he unravels the mysteries lurking within the forest’s depths. Sunainaa brings her character to life with a compelling blend of innocence and depth, captivating viewers with her portrayal of the Forest Beat Officer. The supporting cast, including Malini Jeevarathnam, Kanna Ravi, Srikrishna Dayal, and Kumaravel, deliver stellar performances, enriching the series with their talent and contributing to its overall excellence.

The series grapples with blending mystery, horror, and thriller elements cohesively, resulting in a disjointed storyline and sluggish pacing throughout. While there are slight improvements in later episodes, the overall pacing remains a challenge for viewers, especially with a lengthy runtime of 10 episodes spanning 8 hours.

Unfortunately, the horror elements lack genuine fear, and the portrayal of Vanaratchi fails to leave a significant impact due to ineffective narration and camera work. Additionally, the inconsistency in language use, such as Tamil songs in a Telugu-dubbed version, detracts from the viewing experience for regional audiences.

The series also suffers from an abundance of characters who contribute minimally to the plot, leading to a disjointed narrative and limited character development. Furthermore, excessive focus on subplots detracts from the main storyline, disrupting the flow of the series. Overall, these issues hinder the series from reaching its full potential and may leave viewers feeling unsatisfied.

“Insp. Rishi” disappoints with its weak plot, slow pace, and technical flaws. Despite strong lead performances, the series lacks engagement due to unnecessary scenes, too many episodes, and irrelevant subplots. It’s not worth investing time in a series that falls short of its potential.
