Keshava Rao’s `Daughter Stroke’ Makes Him Join Congress?

Senior leader Keshava Rao’s decision to leave BRS and join Congress is taken by surprise by political circles. Unlike many others, he may not expect any official position or some recognition. But, it seems that it was his daughter and GHMC Mayor G Vijayalakshmi’s pressure forcing him to tilt towards Congress.

Even his son, Viplav Kumar also expressed such apprehension. He said that at this age of 84 years, he doesn’t think that his father decided to join Congress for any power or position. But, he felt it was due to pressure from his sister and Mayor Vijayalakshmi, his father, taking this hard decision.

Political circles felt that Vijayalakshmi fears that being in the opposition her position as Mayor may be at risk at any time and the ruling Congress may try to destabilize her. To save her position of power, it is felt she is bringing pressure on her father to join Congress.

Viplam Kumar said that BRS got her elected as Municipal Corporator twice and it was the same party that made her as the Mayor of GHMC and at the instance of the party all corporators elected her. He said that if she wants to join Congress, but before that she should resign as Mayor, as she was elected by Corporators who won on behalf of BRS.

Expressing his concern over the decision of his father Keshava Rao to leave BRS, at a time the party is in crisis, he said as an matured politician it is time for him to side with KCR and give advice to rain glory of the party. Stating that KCR has given great respect to Keshava Rao all these years, Viplav Kumar said that presently KCR needs advice from such senior politicians.

8 Lakh complaints of corruption against YCP ministers, MLAs

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy tried to claim that he is offering very `honest’ governance and giving no scope for corruption. But his own government agency has received more than 8 lakh complaints alleging corrupt practices by his ministers and his party MLAs. But hardly any action was taken against any one.

Jana Sena PAC chairman and former speaker Nadendla Manohar revealed that the complaints were made by common people from their own experiences to the Anti Corruption Bureau. According to him, the ACB has received 8.03 lakh complaints during its five-year rule.

He asked what action was taken by the ACB officials when they received 2.06 lakh complaints against ministers and their followers and 4.39 lakh complaints against MLAs.

He recalled that Chief Minister Y S Jagan repeatedly claims that his governance is transparent and schemes are being delivered to poor people without giving any scope of corruption. But the ACB record states a very different picture of the governance.

He accused the CM of telling blatant lies and deceiving the people. He asserted that corruption has increased in all departments and in fact multiplied during the last five years. Stating that the government boasts of buying buffaloes at a cost of Rs.2,500 crores in the state, Manohar wondered that there is no record of distribution of buffaloes in any village.

Meanwhile, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan is launching his poll campaign from Saturday. In the first phase, he will tour in 10 constituencies, starting from his Pithapuram constituency.

He will campaign in his constituency from March 30 to April 2. He will tour in other constituencies later. April 3rd Tenali, 4th Nellimarla, 5th Anakapalli, 6th Yalamanchili, 7th Pendurthi, 8th Kakinada Rural, 9th Pithapuram, 10th Rajol, 11th P. Gannavaram and 12th Rajanagaram.

Can Revanth Reddy Dismantle BRS With `Opening Gates’?

After rising to power like a phoenix bird and becoming chief minister of Telangana, bypassing claims of several senior leaders, A Revanth Reddy now officially `opened’ his party gate so as to attract BRS leaders and dismantle the main opposition in the state.

Interestingly, he moved into action in this direction only after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had reportedly assured him all the support from the center to `dismantle’ BRS. Both national parties Congress and BJP are of the view that they can dominate Telangana political scene only by crushing powerful regional parties. It may be recalled in no other state, where regional parties are dominating the scene, these two parties are able to strengthen themselves.

Moreover, after defeat in assembly elections, BRS is suffocating ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Collapse of Kaleshwaram project pullers, Kavitha’s arrest, phone tapping and many other issues making KCR voiceless and in offensive like never before. Taking KCR’s miserable position as an advantage now ‘opening up of gates’ will really benefit him to strengthen his position within Congress? Is the real question now worrying many.

It may be recalled that earlier, as Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also with the same strategy engineering as many as 23 YSRCP MLAs to defect into his party and given ministerial berths to four of them. But ultimately, except one, all were defeated in the 2019 elections. And those defections didn’t stop YS Jaganmohan Reddy from coming to power.

In the same way, though large scale defections engineered by KCR gave an impression that Congress was losing its base in Telangana, ultimately he was defeated by the `weakened’ Congress only. Moreover, large scale defections created internal problems to both Chandrababu Naidu and KCR in their own parties, as the original party cadre failed to identify themselves with `outsiders’.

Encouraging large scale defection Revanth Reddy may succeed to weaken BRS for the time being. But unless he focuses his attention on governance and creating a feeling of `security’ to all variety of Congress leaders, it may be difficult for himself to survive for a long time. Moreover, defections will multiply internal contradictions in the Congress party, posing a new variety of challenges to him.

కాపురం చేసే కళ కాలు తొక్కిన నాడే తెలుస్తుందని సామెత. విజయసాయిరెడ్డి పరిస్థితి కూడా అలాగే ఉంది. జీవితంలో మొదటిసారిగా ప్రత్యక్ష ఎన్నికల్లోకి దిగిన ఈ కీలక నాయకుడు.. ఓడిపోబోతున్నారనే సంకేతాలు ప్రచారం సమయంలోనే కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. ఉదయగిరిలో చోటు చేసుకున్న ఈ సంఘటన చాలా కీలకమైనది. ‘పెద్దాయన మాట్లాడుతున్నారు.. దయచేసి వెళ్లకండి.. అందరికీ భోజనాలున్నాయి..’ అని మాత్రమే కాదు. చెప్పినందుకైనా ఆగండి. వెనక్కి రండి. మీరు పోవద్దు అంటూ దాదాపుగా బతిమాలుతూ వాహనం మీదినుంచి మైకులో అరిచినా సరే మహిళలు పట్టించుకోలేదు.

నెల్లూరు జిల్లా 2019 ఎన్నికల్లో వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీకి తిరుగులేని విధంగా పట్టం కట్టింది. ఆ జిల్లాను పార్టీ క్లీన్ స్వీప్ చేసింది. కానీ జగన్ అనుకునే పథకాలు తప్ప.. జిల్లాలో ఒక్క అభివృద్ధి పని కూడా జరగకపోవడంతో ప్రజల్లో ఆదరణ దిగజారింది. తమ తమ నియోజకవర్గాల్లో చిన్న చిన్న అభివృద్ధి పనులు జరిపించుకోవడానికి కూడా.. జగన్ చుట్టూ వందసార్లు తిరిగినా.. ఫలితం లేకపోవడంతో.. నాయకులు కూడా ఆ పార్టీని వదలిపెట్టారు. చివరికి నెల్లూరు ఎంపీ అభ్యర్థిగా వైసీపీకి ఎంతో కీలక నాయకుడు అయిన వేమిరెడ్డి ప్రభాకరరెడ్డిని ప్రకటిస్తే.. ఆయన అభ్యర్థిత్వాన్ని వదులుకుని తెలుగుదేశంలోకి వెళ్లిపోయి ఆ పార్టీ తరఫున బరిలో ఉన్నారు. దీంతో వేరే గత్యంతరంలేక, ఎంపీగా పోటీచేయడానికి తగిన అభ్యర్థి మరొకరు లేక.. రాజ్యసభ ఎంపీగా ఉన్న విజయసాయిరెడ్డిని తీసుకువచ్చి బరిలో దింపారు. ఆయన ప్రచారంలోనే ఇలాంటి పదనిసలు ఎదురవుతున్నాయి. ప్రజలు ఆయనను ఏమాత్రం పట్టించుకోవడంలేదు. జగన్ కు కీలక అనుచరుడిగా సొంత పార్టీ నాయకులందరినీ ఓ ఆటాడుకుంటూ ఉండే విజయసాయిరెడ్డి.. ప్రజలు తనను ఈ స్థాయిలో తిరస్కరిస్తోంటే ఖంగుతింటున్నారు.

టిల్లు స్క్వేర్‌ విజయంతో నాకు మాటలు రావడం లేదని అనుపమ పరమేశ్వరన్‌ అంది. డీజే టిల్లు సీక్వెల్ గా వచ్చిన టిల్లు స్క్వేర్‌ సిద్దు జొన్నలగడ్డ, అనుపమ పరమేశ్వరన్‌ హీరోహీరోయిన్లుగా నటించిన ఈ చిత్రాన్ని శుక్రవారం విడుదల చేయగా మంచి టాక్‌ ను అందుకుంది.ఈ సినిమా థియేటర్లలో మంచి హిట్‌ ని సొంతం చేసుకుంది.

ఈ సినిమా థియేటర్లలో నవ్వులు పూయిస్తూ అభిమానులను ఆకట్టుకుంది. సంచలన వసూళ్ల ను రాబట్టింది. ఈ చిత్రానికి మల్లిక్‌ రామ్‌ డైరెక్షన్‌ వహించారు. సినిమా భారీ విజయాన్ని సాధించడంతో మూవీ మేకర్స్ మీడియా సమావేశాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ఇందులో హీరోయిన్‌ అనుపమ మాట్లాడుతూ.. ‘ఆనందంలో నాకు మాటలు కూడా రావడం లేదు. ఈ సినిమా ప్రయాణాన్ని నేను ఎప్పటికీ మరిచపోను. ఈ చిత్రం చేస్తున్నప్పుడు  ప్రతి నిమిషాన్ని  ఎంజాయ్ చేశాను. ఇప్పుడు సినిమాకి వచ్చిన  స్పందన చూస్తుంటే మాటలు రావడం లేదు. నా క్యారెక్టర్‌ కు మంచి మార్కులు పడ్డాయి. నేను మొదటిసారి ఇలాంటి క్యారెక్టర్‌ చేశాను. నేను చేసిన లిల్లీ పాత్రకు మంచి పేరు వచ్చినందుకు చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉందని తెలిపింది.

Mass Ka Dass Vishwak Sen’s tentatively titled VS12 team has now revealed the movie title as ‘Laila’. On the occasion of Vishwak Sen’s birthday, the moviemakers have unveiled the title through a poster and motion poster. The makers took to Instagram to share the title poster and motion poster and captioned, “The MASS KA DAS of the box office is turning the tables and taboos & coming as the elegant and graceful #Laila Check out the Title announcement video now! Happy Birthday, @vishwaksens”

What’s interesting is that the poster and announcement video features a rose, a sheep’s head, a gun, and all makeup products like lipstick, makeup, mascara, and makeup brushes. The makers also revealed that Vishwaksen will be in and as Laila, which generated doubts about who is. Is Vishwak getting a surprising makeover for a lady getup in this film? To clear up all doubts, we must wait for further updates. 

Laila, helmed by Ram Narayan and produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens production company. The film also stars Akanksha Sharma. The music is composed by popular Bollywood composer Tanishk Bagchi.

Coming to Vishwak Sen’s forthcoming endeavors, he is all geared up for his movie ‘Gangs of Godavari’ to be released on May 7, 2024. The makers of his upcoming project, VS10, have revealed the title as ‘Mechanic Rocky’. Vishwak Sen was last seen in theaters in the experimental film ‘Gaami’.

Although the flags are different, the agenda  of TDP, BJP and Jana Sena is only to throw out the repressive YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime from the state and put the state into development track, asserted BJP state president and former union minister Daggubati Purandeswari.

Visiting Rajamahendravaram first time on Friday, after the party announced her as party’s Lok Sabha candidate from this city, she was accorded a grand welcome by the party cadre and also people. On this occasion, she called upon the people to put an end to the ‘destructive rule’ in the state.

She expressed concern that there is a pathetic situation in the state that even the state Secretariat has been mortgaged. Stating that this is the time to bring qualitative change in the state, she asked everyone to work so that the BJP flag flies in all the constituencies it is contesting.

She met key party leaders and workers. AP election co-in-charge Siddharth Nath Singh also accompanied her.  She said that BJP has candidates for 175 Assembly seats and 25 parliament seats, but recognising the need for an alliance, the party has limited itself to 10 Assembly and 6 parliament seats.

Noting that many aspirants in the party are disappointed, she said that national leadership has taken this decision with a view to develop the state. She urged BJP workers to work hard for the victory of TDP and Jana Sena candidates also.

Describing the BJP-TDP-JSP alliance a historical necessity, she said it must come to power. “The poor in Andhra Pradesh are being cheated. The government has increased electricity charges eight times in the last five years. The state has withdrawn 27 schemes introduced by the Centre for the welfare of SCs. BC Commission has not been given legal status in the state,” she said. She demanded a white paper on the investments received by the state during the last five years.

Siddharth Nath Singh said that all problems will be solved if the double-engine government comes to power in AP. He asserted that completion of the Polavaram project is possible only with a double-engine government.

Siddarth Nath Singh criticised Jagan’s government as synonymous with corruption. He said while Centre sanctioned 22.5 lakh houses, the state government has not completed even three lakh houses. If the sand, liquor and land mafias are to go, a double-engine government should be elected, he added.
