AP Police Focus On Preventing Violence During Counting Of Votes

After the Andhra Pradesh police were forced to be on the defensive following severe poll- related violent incidents, are now taking precautions to prevent such scenarios during and after counting of votes on June 4. Already, the central intelligence agencies have cautioned that similar violence incidents are likely to be repeated after polling in several places.

Keeping in view of these warnings, Election Commission of India (ECI) also directed the Union Home Ministry to keep central forces in the state for a fortnight even after counting of votes.  In this regard, steps are being taken to use technology on a large scale.

The police are trying to identify villages, divisions, circles and police stations that are likely to face violent incidents, by using technology on the basis of previous data. They are also getting ready to make use of the Preventive Detention Act against those habituated violence promoters.

The department has already started the process of calling many people with a history of violence, to the stations for counseling and binding over villages. Special surveillance has been set up on the movements of rowdy sheeters.

It is reported that the police department is involved in expediting the process of installing CC cameras at the junctions where riots will occur. District collectors and police officials are advised to conduct joint press briefing conferences to alert the people on such incidents and also send a strong warning to problem makers.

Also, officials are taking steps towards creating awareness by visiting villages.  The police department has declared a red zone (no flying zone) up to 2 kilometers from the strong rooms where the EVMs are kept.

Vijayawada Police Commissioner PhD Ramakrishna said on Monday that the flying of drones and balloons has been banned in those areas. It is reported that the department is following the same policy across the state.

Intelligence is predicting the possibility of riots in Palnadu, Tirupati and Anantapur districts as well as Vijayawada Central and Eastern constituencies. In this background, it is reported that the police department is already taking precautionary measures.

Congress that voted to power in Telangana giving six guarantees, promising to implement within 100 days of coming to power, is now on the defensive as even after six months except free travel to women in TSRTC buses, none of guarantees are fulfilled in true spirit.

Mainly, the Revanth Reddy government’s track record on extending helping hand to the farmers remain in fix. He failed to fulfill his commitment of loan waiver and Rythu Bharosaa, besides assistance to agricultural labourers.

Now, with the decision of the cabinet on Monday evening that the government will provide a Rs 500 bonus only to `lean’ (sanna biyyam), raising uproar in the political circles and also among farmers. The main opposition party BRS is up in arms against the government in this regard.


BRS executive president and former minister K T Rama Rao strongly objected to the government’s decision and said it is a hypocritical Congress brand of fraud, deceit and deception. He wondered that while in its election promises the Congress announced Rs 500 bonus for paddy crop, now confining only to `sanna biyyam’.

He recalled during the election campaign Congress leaders promised to provide a bonus to every grain of rice, but now they are expressing their helplessness. He termed the Revanth Reddy government as an ‘anti- farmer’.

KTR said that till yesterday they struggled as the government failed in providing irrigation water, the crops were dried up with current cuttings, and the hard-earned grain was unable to be bought due to untimely rains.

He recalled that Congress promised that every year Rs.15,000 was promised as Rythu Bharosa to rice farmers and tenant farmers and Rs.12,000 was not given to agricultural labourers. He criticized that every farmer would be given a loan waiver of two lakhs on December 9.

Today, he deplored that even in the matter of bonus, the bogus policy of the government has been exposed. He lamented that it has exposed Congress party’s duality of saying one thing before polls and doing another thing after polls.

Uproar Over BJP’s Sambit Patra Calling “Lord Jagannath A Devotee Of Modi”

The BJP that is making attempts to replace formidable Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with its candidate in the present assembly elections in Odisha, was pushed into an embarrassing situation after its high- profile spokesperson Sambit Patra, who is contesting as BJP candidate from Puri Lok Sabha seat, courted a controversy.

He landed in a row on Monday after his remark with a local news channel that the state’s most revered deity Lord Jagannath is a “devotee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”. As it hurt the sentiments of the people of the state, a day after he resorted to corrective steps by describing it as a “slip of the tongue”.

Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik had politely lamented him for hurting Odia `asmita’ (pride) appealed to the BJP to keep Lord Jagannath above the political discourse.Expressing outrage, Patnaik, in an X post, said:

“Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannatha is the Lord of the Universe. Calling Mahaprabhu a ‘bhakt’ of another human being is an insult to the Lord… it is totally condemnable. This has hurt the sentiments and demeaned the faith of crores of Jagannatha bhaktas and Odias across the world”.

“The Lord is the greatest symbol of Odia asmita. I strongly denounce the statement… and I appeal to the BJP to keep the Lord above any political discourse. By this, you have deeply hurt Odia asmita and this will be remembered and condemned by people of Odisha for a very long time,” he said.

Patra, who faced flak for his statement, was forced to clarify that it was a slip of tongue and he wanted to mean that the PM was an ardent ‘bhakt’ (devotee) of Lord Jagannath and not the other way round. Further, he said that he was apologetic for his ‘slip of the tongue’, and that he would observe fast for the next three days to offer penance in the name of Lord Jagannath as an apology.

Patra shared a video on social media platform X around 1 am, apologizing for his mistake regarding Lord Jagannath. He wrote, “Today, I am deeply distressed by the mistake I made regarding Lord Jagannath. I bow my head at the feet of Lord Jagannath and apologise. To atone for my error and repentance, I will observe a fast for the next three days.”

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal also condemned the statement of the BJP candidate. “I strongly condemn this statement of the BJP. They have started thinking that they are above God. This is a height of arrogance. Calling God bhakt of Modi ji is an insult to God,” he posted on X.

 Megastar Chiranjeevi Teams Up With Mohan Raja For The Second Time

Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently immersed in the shooting of his upcoming flick, ‘Vishwambara’. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta, the film is set to hit theaters on January 10, 2025, competing with other Sankranthi films.

Recent reports suggest that, up next, Megastar Chiranjeevi will collaborate with renowned Tamil director Mohan Raja for the second time. As per the latest updates, it has been revealed that Chiru gave a green signal to BVS Ravis’ script, and Mohan Raja will be at the helm of the direction for this project.

Pre-production for this upcoming film is anticipated to begin soon, with shooting scheduled to commence this August. Susmitha Konidela, Chiru’s daughter, will produce this film through Gold Box Entertainment in collaboration with Peoples Media Factory. However, the makers have yet to announce it officially.

This upcoming flick will mark the second collaboration between Megastar Chiranjeevi and the director Mohan Raja, following 2022’s blockbuster film ‘Godfather’. The film is a remake of Malayalam-renowned actor Mohan Lal’s ‘Lucifer’.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi was last seen in ‘Bhola Shankar’. Helmed by Meher Ramesh, the film was a box-office bomb and received negative reviews. The actor is now gearing up for his next ‘Vishwambara’, backed by the prestigious banner of UV Creations. Trisha Krishnan is playing the female lead in this flick. Legendary music director M.M. తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాలకు సంబంధించినంత వరకు ఎన్నికల పర్వం ముగిసింది.  ఎంపీ ఎన్నికల కంటే ఎమ్మెల్యే ఎన్నికలను నాయకులు చాలా సీరియస్‌గా తీసుకుంటారనే సంగతి తెలిసిందే. దానికి తగ్గట్లుగానే వారు అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల విషయంలో తీవ్ర ఒత్తిడి మధ్య ఎన్నికల పర్వాన్ని పూర్తి చేస్తారు. పోలింగ్ ముగిసిన తర్వాత ప్రత్యేకించి, ఏపీ రాష్ట్రానికి పెద్ద నాయకులందరూ ఒత్తిడి నుంచి బయటకు రావడానికి విదేశాలలో విహారయాత్రలలో గడుపుతున్నారు. ఒక్కరూ ఇద్దరూ కాదు. రాష్ట్రంలో నాలుగు ప్రధాన పార్టీలకు చెందిన నాయకులు ఇప్పుడు విదేశాలలోనే ఉండడం విశేషం!

అదే తరహాలో పోలింగ్ ముగిసిన రోజునే ఇక్కడి నుంచి నేరుగా సకుటుంబంగా వారణాసికి వెళ్లిన జనసేనాని పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ అక్కడ సతీసమేతంగా కాశీ విశ్వేశ్వరుని సేవలో పాల్గొన్నారు. మరునాడు ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోడీ నామినేషన్ పర్వంలో కూడా పాల్గొన్నారు. అటునుంచి అటే సకుటుంబంగా అమెరికాకు వెళ్ళిపోయారు. ఇదంతా ఒక ఎత్తు అయితే కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఏపీసీసీ చీఫ్ షర్మిల వ్యవహారం మరో ఎత్తు.

ఆమె అమెరికాకు ఎప్పుడు వెళ్లారునేది కూడా ఎవరికీ తెలియదు! రెండో కంటికి తెలియకుండా షర్మిల అమెరికాలోని కొడుకు వద్దకు, కొడుకుతో పాటు ఉన్న తల్లి వద్దకు వెళ్ళిపోయారు.

ఆమెను ముందుగా అమెరికాలోని కొడుకు వద్దకు పంపిన షర్మిల పోలింగ్ పూర్తికాగానే తాను కూడా అక్కడకు చేరుకున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. కాగా ఈ నాయకులందరూ జూన్ 1వ తేదీ నాటికి ఒక్కరొక్కరుగా తిరిగి రాష్ట్రానికి చేరుకునే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఫలితాలు వెలువడిన తరువాత ఎవరి పరిస్థితి ఎలా ఉంటుందో ఎవరి వైభవం ఎలా నిర్ణయం అవుతుందో కాలమే తేల్చుతుంది.

పల్నాడులో జరిగిన హింసాత్మక సంఘటనలు అల్లర్లకు సంబంధించి.. అక్కడ విధుల నుంచి తప్పించబడిన ఎస్పి బిందు మాధవ్ తో లావు శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయలకు బంధుత్వం ఉన్నదని, ఆయన ఎస్పీ ద్వారా జిల్లాలోని పోలీసు వర్గాలందరినీ ప్రభావితం చేశారని వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఆరోపించింది. అయితే విని వారు సృష్టించిన కట్టుకథలని లావు శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయలు ఖండిస్తున్నారు.

లావు శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయలు ఎంపీగా చాలా మంచి పేరు తెచ్చుకున్నారు. నరసరావుపేట ఎంపీ పరిధిలోని వైసిపి ఎమ్మెల్యేలు అందరికీ కూడా ఆయన పట్ల ఒక సానుకూల అభిప్రాయం ఉంది. జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయలును గుంటూరు ఎంపీ నియోజకవర్గానికి బదిలీ చేయాలని అనుకున్నప్పుడు.. ఆ నియోజకవర్గ ఎమ్మెల్యేలు అందరూ కూడా అడ్డుపడ్డారు. ఆయన లేకపోతే తమ తమ ఎమ్మెల్యే నియోజకవర్గాలలో పార్టీ విజయం కూడా ప్రశ్నార్థకం అవుతుందని వారు గొల్లుమన్నారు. అయినా వారి అభ్యంతరాలు ఏవి పట్టించుకోకుండా జగన్ తన ఒంటెత్తుపోకడలతో వ్యవహరించినందున.. లావు శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయలు ప్రత్యామ్నాయ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుని తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీలో చేరి చేరారు. ఆ పార్టీ తరపున ఎంపీగా పోటీ చేశారు.

ఈ పోకడ సహించలేకపోతున్న వైసీపీ దళాలు ఆయన మీద వీలైనంతగా బురద చల్లారని ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నాయి. పోలింగ్ ముగిసిన తర్వాత తమ ఓటమి అర్థమైపోయేసరికి.. లావు శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయలకు తొలగించబడిన ఎస్పీ బిందు మాధవ్ కు బంధుత్వం ఉందని అంటూ దానిని వాడుకుని లావు ఎన్నికల అక్రమాలకు పాల్పడ్డారని బురద చల్లుతున్నారు. లావు కృష్ణదేవరాయలు గెలిస్తే అది అక్రమమైన గెలుపు అని ఆరోపించడానికి ఇప్పుడే రంగం సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు. అయితే తన కాల్ డేటా పరిశీలించుకోవచ్చుననే లావు సవాలుకు వారి నోర్లు మూతపడతాయని విశ్లేషకులు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.

మెగాస్టార్‌ చిరంజీవి చిన్న కూతురు శ్రీజ గురించి ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్పాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. 19 సంవత్సరాల వయసులోనే ప్రేమించిన వ్యక్తి శిరీష్‌ భరద్వాజ్ తో ఆర్య సమాజ్ లో పెళ్లి చేసుకొని మీడియాలో బాగా పాపులర్ అయ్యింది. ఆ తరువాత మీడియా ముందుకు వచ్చి తమ ప్రాణహాని గురించి కామెంట్స్ చేయడంతో పెద్ద ఎత్తున చర్చనీయాంశమైంది. అయితే శిరీష్ భరద్వాజ్ నుంచి విడి పోయిన తర్వాత మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి ఆమెకు కళ్యాణ్ దేవ్ అనే వ్యక్తితో వివాహం చేశారు.

మెగా అల్లుడు అవ్వడంతో కళ్యాణ్ దేవ్ కూడా హీరోగా  అవ్వాలని చాలా ప్రయత్నాలు చేసి ఒకటి రెండు సినిమాలు చేశారు. ప్రస్తుతానికి కూడా హీరోగా ఉన్నారు. అయితే శ్రీజ, కళ్యాణ్ దేవ్ మధ్య దూరం పెరగడంతో వారు అధికారికంగా విడాకులు తీసుకున్నారో లేదో తెలియదు కానీ చాలా రోజుల నుంచి విడివిడిగానే ఉంటున్నారు. వారి సోషల్ మీడియా అకౌంట్లో ఒకరి ఫోటోలు మరొకరు డిలీట్ చేయడంతో దాదాపుగా వారు విడిపోయారని అంతా ఫిక్స్‌ అయిపోయారు.

పాన్‌ ఇండియా స్టార్‌ ప్రభాస్‌ గతేడాది డిసెంబర్‌ లో సలార్‌ సినిమాతో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చి భారీ విజయాన్ని అందుకున్నాడు. ఈ సినిమా ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా భారీగా కలెక్షన్స్ కూడా రాబట్టింది .అయితే ప్రస్తుతం ప్రభాస్ ఫ్యాన్స్ అంతా సలార్ 2 కోసం ఎంతగానో ఎదురు చూస్తున్నారు. కానీ దర్శకుడు ప్రశాంత్ నీల్ ఈ సినిమా గురించి ఇప్పటి వరకు ఎలాంటి క్లారిటీ ఇవ్వలేదు.

Tollywood’s talented and energetic actor Manchu Manoj is all set to make his solid comeback after a hiatus of 8 years with the most anticipated film, ‘Mirai’. The makers of this highly anticipated film unveiled the first glimpse of Manchu Manoj, marking the special occasion of his birthday today.

On his special day, the makers planned to treat the actor’s beloved fans with the first glimpse of Manoj as ‘The Black Sword’ in a new avatar. The actor celebrated his 41st birthday today amidst huge cheers and boundless love from the fans at the Black Sword launch event. 

Taking to the social media handles, the makers shared the first-look poster along with the caption, “The most talented actor turns into the Most Powerful Force in this World. Presenting everyone’s favourite Rocking star @manojkmanchu in a Brand New Avatar in #MIRAI.”

In the first-look poster, the actor appears in a brand new intense avatar holding a sword with a swag. Manoj was seen wearing a lengthy black coat and sporting long hair tied in a ponytail. The first glimpse video, lasting 1 minute and 15 seconds, begins by introducing the Black Sword, described as the most dangerous force in this world. Anticipation is raised with the unveiling of Manchu Manoj as the powerful antagonist in this action-packed adventure, showcasing his intense character.

Helmed by talented director Karthik Gattamneni, the film is backed by TG Vishwa Prasad. Teja Sajja will be seen as Super Yodha in this flick. Ritika Nayak is the female lead. Scheduled to release on April 18, 2025, ‘Mirai’ will be released in many languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, and Chinese.
