PM Modi Begins ‘Dhyan’ At Kanyakumari Vivekananda Rock Memorial

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his 45-hour long meditation at the famed Vivekananda Rock Memorial here on Thursday evening. After arriving from nearby Thiruvananthapuram by a helicopter, Modi worshipped at the Bhagavathi Amman temple and reached the rock memorial by a ferry service and started meditation that is scheduled to go on till June 1.

Clad in a dhoti and a white shawl, Modi prayed at the temple and circumambulated the ‘garbhagriha’. Priests performed a special ‘arthi’ and he was given temple ‘prasad’ that included a shawl and a framed photograph of the presiding deity of the temple. Later, he reached the rock memorial by a ferry service operated by the state government-run shipping corporation and began his meditation at the ‘dhyan mandapam.’

Before he embarked on the dhyan exercise, for a while, Modi stood on the stairs leading to the mandapam that offers breathtaking views of the sea that surrounds the memorial from all sides. Ahead of his departure on June 1, Modi is likely to visit the Thiruvalluvar statue, next to the memorial. Both the memorial and 133 ft statue were built on tiny islets, that are separate and mound-like rocky formations in the sea.

While the PM chose Kedarnath cave to reflect and meditate following the end of campaign in 2019 Lok Sabha polls, now he has chosen a spiritually significant place in the southernmost tip in the mainland of the country.

All arrangements, including heavy security, are in place for Modi’s 45-hour stay at the famed memorial named after the revered Hindu saint. This is the first time the Prime Minister will be staying at the memorial, a monument built in tribute to Swami Vivekananda, who meditated over the rocks inside the sea towards the end of 1892.

Vijay Sethupathi’s Milestone 50th Film ‘Maharaja’ Trailer Released

Tamil-renowned actor Vijay Sethupathi is currently gearing up for his milestone 50th film, ‘Maharaja’. Helmed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film is touted to be a dark thriller. As the film is set to entertain audiences soon, the makers unveiled the film’s trailer on Thursday evening.

Dropping the trailer via YouTube, the makers shared a poster and captioned it, “#Maharaja has stepped in to officially rule the screens.” The trailer is intriguing, delving into the mystery surrounding the Maharaja and his secrets.

The trailer begins with Vijay Sethupathi introducing himself as the titular Maharaja, who runs a salon shop in KK Nagar. He came to file an FIR with the police regarding his stolen ‘Lakshmi’. The cops become irritated and perplexed when he informs them that Lakshmi is not gold, money, documents, a daughter, a wife, or a sister. However, he repeatedly gestures to explain what Lakshmi is, but no one understands him. He was later thrown out of the police station for irritating the police.

The police begin to suspect that Vijay might be hiding something from them. The trailer ends with a dramatic reveal of Anuragh Kashyap’s face, followed by a scene of Vijay in tears, yelling, and holding a weapon in his hand.

Speaking more about ‘Maharaja’, the film marks a milestone 50th film for Vijay Sethupathi. The film is produced by Sudhar Sundaran of Passion Studios and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner of The Route. Anurag Kashyap, Mamata Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Abhirami, and others play significant roles. The makers will unveil the official theatrical release date soon.

నిజానికి ఎమ్మెల్సీల మీద అనర్హత వేటు వేయించడం అనేది ఎమ్మెల్యేల మీద వేటు వేసినంత ఈజీ కాదు. అయితే.. మండలి ఛైర్మన్ తమ పార్టీ నాయకుడే గనుక.. వైసీపీ ఇష్టారాజ్యంగా వేటు వేయిస్తూ వచ్చింది. వైసీపీని వీడి తెలుగుదేశంలో చేరిన సీనియర్ నేతలు జంగా కృష్ణమూర్తి, సి. రామచంద్రయ్య, జనసేనలో చేరిన వంశీకృష్ణ యాదవ్ లపై ఆల్రెడీ వేటు వేయించారు. అయితే ఎస్.కోట నాయకుడు ఎమ్మెల్సీ ఇందుకూరి రఘురాజు మాత్రం వారికి మింగుడు పడలేదు.
ఇందుకూరి రఘురాజు భార్య ఎంపీపీ పదవిలో ఉన్న సుబ్బలక్ష్మి తెలుగుదేశంలో చేరారు. అంతే తప్ప ఆయన పార్టీ కండువా కప్పుకోలేదు. ఆయన అనుచరులైన కొందరు నాయకులు కూడా చేరారు. అయితే వారు లోకేష్ తో ఉన్న ఒక ఫోటోను, వారితో రఘురాజు ఉన్న మరొక ఫోటోను విడివిడిగా తమ పితూరీకి కలిపి పంపి.. వాటి ఆధారంగా రఘురాజు కు ఎమ్మెల్సీ పదవిలేకుండా చేయాలని వైసీపీ ఫిర్యాదుచేసింది.
అయితే వైసీపీ ఎత్తులకు రఘురాజు లొంగడం లేదు. మండలి ఛైర్మన్ మోషేన్ రాజు నోటీసులిచ్చినా పట్టించుకోలేదు. తనపై నిరాధార ఆరోపణలు చేస్తున్నారని అంటున్నారు. అయితే వైసీపీ మాత్రం ఆధారాలు లేకపోయినా.. వేటు వేయించే పట్టుదలతో ఉండగా.. అదే జరిగితే హైకోర్టుకు వెళ్లే ఉద్దేశంతో రఘురాజు ఆలోచిస్తున్నట్టు సమాచారం. ఈ వ్యవహారం పాపం.. వైసీపీకి ఇరకాటంగా మారింది.

YCP Complaint Against CEO RK Meena On Postal Ballots Counting

The ruling YCP that has been making accusations against Election Commission of India (ECI) after it responded seriously against poll- related violent incidents, in which YCP MLAs/MLA candidates found violated model code, has now complained against AP Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena.

It has complained to the Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar regarding the consideration of postal ballots stating that the CEO’s orders were against the EC guidelines. YCP Rajya Sabha member S. Niranjan Reddy appealed to the CEC to review the recent orders given by the AP CEO in this regard.

In the complaint, Niranjan Reddy stated that due to the EC issuing directions to collect specimen signatures of the attesting officers, valid postal ballots would be rejected and the integrity of the election process would be disturbed.

In a mail sent to Rajiv Kumar, the MP stated that the directions issued on May 25 regarding the collection of specimen signatures of the attesting officers who have signed the postal ballot papers are contrary to the guidelines given earlier by the ECI.

It may be recalled that the YCP has been objecting to the order issued by the Chief Electoral Officer of the state relaxing the postal ballot rules and even approached the High Court.

Niranjan Reddy says that in the guidelines issued by the Election Commission on July 19 last year, it has been stated that the attesting officer should sign the postal ballot declaration form and accept it even if his name and status details are handwritten even if there is no stamp. It is alleged that these regulations are being implemented in all the states.

However, in the wake of TDP complaints, Meena directed returning officers to collect the specimen signatures of the attesting officers appointed and send them to the Collectors, District Electoral Officers and RVOs of all the districts.

However, as per these instructions even if the attesting officer has not signed and recorded the details, the votes should be considered against the specimen signatures available with the AROs.

The YCP has argued that the process of comparing the signatures with the samples has led to conflicts among the agents and created security problems. It is demanding that the exemptions given in AP in the counting of postal ballots be canceled.

అధికారుల్ని బెదిరించడం, వారి మీద ఒత్తిడి తెచ్చి తమకు అనుకూలంగా పనిచేయించడం.. వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీకి వెన్నతో పెట్టిన విద్య అయిపోయింది. అయిదేళ్ల కిందట అధికారంలోకి వచ్చిన నాటినుంచి.. అధికార్లను చెప్పుచేతల్లో పెట్టుకోవడం ద్వారా.. తమ ఇష్టారాజ్యంగా ప్రవర్తించడాన్నే వారు పాలన మార్గంగా ఎంచుకున్నారు. చివరికి రాష్ట్ర ఎన్నికల ప్రధానాధికారిని కూడా విడిచిపెట్టినట్టుగా కనిపించడం లేదు. ఎన్నికల కోడ్ అమల్లో ఉన్న రోజుల్లో పరిపాలనకు కేంద్రబిందువుగా ఉండే రాష్ట్ర ప్రధానాధికారి మీద కూడా లెక్కలేనంత బురద చల్లుతూ.. అలా బురద చల్లకుండా ఉండాలంటే తమ దారిలోకి రావాలని బెదిరిస్తున్నట్లుగా వారు వ్యవహరిస్తున్నారు.
వివరాల్లోకి వెళితే..
రాష్ట్రంలో ఈ దఫా ఎన్నికల్లో పోస్టల్ బ్యాలెట్లు లెక్కకు మిక్కిలిగా పోలయ్యాయి. గత ఎన్నికలకంటె దాదాపు ఒకటిన్నర లక్షల ఓట్లు అధికంగా, మొత్తం 4.4 లక్షల ఓట్ల వరకు పడ్డాయి. అయితే.. జగన్ ప్రభుత్వం గత ఎన్నికలకుముందు ఉద్యోగులకు ఇచ్చిన మాటల్లో ఒక్కటి కూడా నిలబెట్టుకోకపోవడం.. అదే సమయంలో పీఆర్సీ దగ్గరినుంచి అన్ని విషయాల్లోనూ ఉద్యోగవర్గాలను వంచించడం అన్నీ కలిపి ఉద్యోగులపై పనిచేశాయి. జగన్ సర్కారు మీద తీవ్ర ఆగ్రహావేశాలతో రగిలిపోతున్న ఉద్యోగులు.. పోస్టల్ బ్యాలెట్ ఓట్లను గరిష్టంగా వాడుకున్నారు. అనేక అవస్థలు పడి మరీ ఓటు వేశారు.
తీరా.. వారికి పోస్టల్ బ్యాలెట్లు ఇవ్వడంలోనే కొన్ని లోపాలు దొర్లేలా ప్రభుత్వం కుట్రలు నడిపించింది. అటెస్టింగ్ అధికారి సంతకమూ, స్టాంపూ లేకుండా డిక్లరేషన్ ఫారంలు ఇచ్చేశారు. ఉద్యోగులు చాలా మంది అవన్నీ చూసుకోకుండానే బ్యాలెట్లు వేసేశారు. దీంతో చాలా ఓట్లు స్టాంపులేకుండానే పడ్డాయి. తమ ఓటు చెల్లకుండా పోతుందనే భయంతో.. వారంతా ఈసీకి మొరపెట్టుకున్నారు. వీటన్నింటి ఫలితంగా.. స్టాంపు లేకపోయినా, అధికారి సంతకం ఉంటే చాలునంటూ సీఈఓ మీనా ఆదేశాలు జారీచేశారు.
ఈ ఆదేశాలతో వైసీపీ బెంబేలెత్తిపోయింది. పోస్టల్ బ్యాలెట్లు అన్నీ చెల్లుబాటు అయితే.. తమ కొంప కొల్లేరు అవుతుందని భయపడ్డారు. తెలుగుదేశంతో మీనా కుమ్మక్కు అయ్యారంటూ బురద చల్లారు. హైకోర్టులో పిటిషన్ వేశారు. ఉద్యోగుల ఓట్లకు అన్యాయం జరగకుండా ఆదేశాలిస్తే.. వాటికి ముడిపెట్టి అనుచితమైన వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. దీంతో మీనా ఆ ఆదేశాలను వెనక్కు తీసుకున్నారు. అధికారుల్ని బెదిరించి తమకు అనుకూలంగా నిర్ణయాలు వచ్చేదాకా వేధించే అలవాటును వైసీపీ కోడ్ అమల్లో ఉన్న సమయంలో కూడా వదలిపెట్టడం లేదని ప్రజలు భావిస్తున్నారు.

Kalki 2898AD: ‘Bujji & Bhairava’ Animated Series Trailer Released

Helmed under the direction of Nag Ashwin, Prabhas starrer ‘Kalki 2898AD’ is undoubtedly the most anticipated and awaited film. Ever since the announcement, the film has generated significant buzz with its star-studded cast, and the makers hyped the film with the reveal of a customized 6-ton beast, ‘Bujji’, and Prabhas entry in the Bhairava X Bujji event. 

Excitement rises around this, India’s first mythological sci-fi film, as the makers planned to release the animated series ahead of the film’s theatrical release. With the release tomorrow, the partnered OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video, released the trailer for the animated series titled ‘Bujji & Bhairava’ of Kalki 2898AD.

In the trailer, Prabhas portrays Bhairava as the bounty hunter from Kashi in the year 2896 AD. Within the animated series, Nag Aswin aims to intrigue fans with the backstory of Bhairava’s close bond with his steadfast companion, Bujji. Keerthi Suresh provided the voiceover for Bhairava’s ‘Bujji’. 

This highly anticipated animated series and the film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ are backed by the renowned producer C. Aswani Dutt under the prestigious production house, Vyjayanthi Movies. The film boasts an ensemble stellar cast including all the big celebrity names like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Brahmanandam, and many others.

Santosh Narayan is the music composer, while Djordje Stojilikkovic handles the cinematography for this high-budget project. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is set to arrive in theaters worldwide on June 27.

Manmohan Singh Accuses PM Modi Of Lowering Gravity Of PM’s Office

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who recently retired from his long Rajya Sabha career and also keeping away from active politics due to his advanced age, on the last day of the campaign for Lok Sabha polls, came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of lowering the dignity of public discourse and the gravity of PM’s office.

He also targeted the BJP government over Agniveer scheme and appealed to Punjab voters to expose them. Singh said, ” BJP govt imposed Agniveer scheme. It thinks the value of patriotism, service is only 4 years, shows their fake nationalism.”

In a letter addressed to the country’s people ahead of the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Manmohan Singh said on Thursday: “Only Congress can ensure a growth-oriented progressive future where democracy and Constitution will be safeguarded.”

Manmohan Singh also appealed to Punjab voters to give love, peace, fraternity, and harmony a chance and vote for development and inclusive progress. Mounting an attack on Modi, Singh deplored, “I have been keenly following the political discourse during this election campaign. Modi ji has indulged in the most vicious form of hate speeches, which are purely divisive in nature”.

He lamented that Modiji is the first prime minister to lower the dignity of public discourse, and thereby the gravity of the office of the prime minister.

“No prime minister in the past has uttered such hateful, unparliamentary and coarse terms, meant to target either a specific section of the society or the opposition. He has also attributed some false statements to me. I have never in my life singled out one community from the other. That is the sole copyright of the BJP,” he added.

Weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had accused Manmohan Singh of having said that Muslims have the first right to wealth, the former PM, in a veiled reference to the speech, said that he had “never distinguished one community from another”.

Senior IPS ABV Gets Big Relief From High Court On CAT Orders

AP cadre senior IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao got a big relief in the High Court against the state government which approached challenging the CAT order on May 8 to give posting to him. The Court refused to suspend CAT orders and refused to interfere.

AB Venkateswara Rao, a senior IPS officer in the DG cadre, was intelligence chief during the TDP regime. After YCP came to power, he was suspended on charges of working against the government. He has been without posting and also salaries for almost five years.

AB Venkateswara Rao was suspended twice. He has been fighting for posting for five years. As he approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) for posting, it directed the AP government to lift the suspension.

AB Venkateswara Rao challenged his suspension for the second time in CAT. CAT opined that suspending Venkateswara Rao for the second time on the same charges is a miscarriage of justice. It ordered the government to immediately bring him into service and pay the amount of arrears.

Even after the Supreme Court ruled that ABV’s suspension was unconstitutional, CAT was of the opinion that the second suspension was harassment of the employee.

He was suspended by the YCP government on allegations of irregularities in the purchase of defense equipment in the TDP government. With this, he approached the CAT and the CAT upheld the suspension. So he approached the High Court. The High Court struck down the suspension of AVB.

The state government challenged this judgment in the Supreme Court. Ordering that an officer in service should not be kept under suspension for more than two years , it ordered to take him into service.  

Following Supreme Court orders, the government took him into service, but after some time suspended again on the same charges. After a long deliberations, CAT said it is illegal to suspend an employee for the same reason a second time. Orders were issued canceling his suspension immediately.

CAT directed the AP government to post ABV immediately and pay the salary for the period of suspension. Earlier, the state government had recommended to the center that AB Venkateswara Rao should be removed from service permanently.

But UPSC has recommended to stop only two increments. The Union Home Ministry has said that UPSC has not recommended dismissal of ABV. This case was challenged by AB Venkateswara Rao in CAT.

As a result, the AP government challenged the order issued by CAT in his favor in the High Court. AB’s tenure will end today. AB fought a legal battle with the aim of joining the service before his retirement. Let’s see how the government reacts to the High Court verdict.
