Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu appealed to industrialists to come forward to develop Visakhapatnam as a Fintech hub like London and Singapore.  He recalled that the previous YCP government said to set up a Fintech hub here, but nothing was done.

Participating virtually in the meeting of Confederation of Indian Indutry (CII) National Council members meeting from the Medtech zone of Anakapalli district, he invited the CII to hold their next conference in Visakhapatnam.

He assured them that the state government is ready to work with them for industrial promotion if they come up with new ideas.  He also said that the government is ready to allot them plots if they want to set up industries in the capital Amaravati. He appealed for everyone’s cooperation to make Amaravati a wonderful international destination.

In the process of rebuilding the state, Naidu assured to provide better amenities and concessions to industrialists. After the economic reforms of the past, he said that we are now adopting the P4 model (Public, Private, People’s Partnership). For this we will implement micro, medium and long term plans, he added.

CII representatives recalled that the CII University which was originally proposed  to be built in Amaravati was moved to Mumbai due to the policies of the previous government. They urged the Chief Minister to extend support to set up a university center in Amaravati.

However, Chandrababu suggested them to consider setting up another university in Amaravati, for which the government will provide necessary space and other facilities.

He recalled that earlier as Chief Minister it was he who first introduced electricity reforms, though it had damaged his political career. “For the good of the country we have established a regulatory commission for the first time in the country. We have brought a flight facility from Hyderabad to Dubai through an open sky policy in joint AP. For the first time, we have launched a greenfield airport in Hyderabad,” he added.

Referring to his government’s move for skill census, Chandrababu said that they are ready  to provide the necessary skills to the youth of the state by focusing on employment opportunities around the world through skill assessment. He said that there are opportunities in automobile, hardware manufacturing, pharma and agri processing in the state. In the future, he said that they will undertake electricity generation projects through hydrogen.
