Revanth Reddy Bid Farewell To out-Going Governor Radhakrishnan

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met the out-going Telangana Governor CP Radhakrishnan, who is relieving from his duties as Incharge Governor of the state on Monday. The Chief Minister, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and other ministers went to Raj Bhavan and bid a farewell to Radhakrishnan.

Revanth Reddy  honored Radha Krishnan with a shawl. It may be recalled that in recent postings and transfers of Governors, Radhakrishnan was posted as Governor of Maharashtra. After the resignation of Governor Dr Tamilsai Soundarajan, Jharkhand Governor Radhakrishnan was given charge of Telangana too.

Meanwhile, Radhakrishnan wished the people of Telangana on the occasion of Bonallu. He said that he wanted the blessings of Mother Mahankali Ellamma to be with the people and that the state should be green with crops.

During their meeting, CM Revanth Reddy and Governor Radhakrishnan discussed various matters concerning the state before attending assembly meetings later in the day. This encounter marks the conclusion of Radhakrishnan’s term in Telangana as he prepares for his new role in Maharashtra.

Former Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnudev Verma, who was posted as Governor of Telangana will take charge as the Governor of Telangana on 31st of this month at 5 pm. He will take oath at Raj Bhavan. Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe will administer oath to him.

Jishnu Dev Varma was born on 15 August 1957. Jishnu Dev Varma, who belonged to the erstwhile dynasty of Tripura state, joined the BJP in 1990 during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He previously served as the Deputy Chief Minister in the BJP-led coalition government in Tripura from 2018 to 2023.

But in the 2023 assembly elections, Jishnu Dev Varma contested from Charilam constituency in Sepahijala district and lost. Jishnu Dev Varma is also a writer. He recently released a book of his memoirs titled “Views, Reviews & My Poems”. Apart from that, Jishnu Dev Varma is also the President of Badminton Association of India. His wife’s name is Sudha Dev Varma.

After ‘No Entry’ In BJP, Bugganna Settled In YCP!

Former finance minister Bugganna Rajendranath Reddy, who was silent after his defeat from Dhone constituency in Kurnool district, has suddenly appeared in the media last week commenting on Chandrababu Naidu’s white paper on economic mess during YCP regime.

According to sources, soon after election he has lobbied extensively for an entry into BJP meeting several central and state-level leaders. However, after BJP denied him an entry, he has decided to settle with YCP.

As key minister in YS Jaganmohan Reddy regime, holding the finance ministry, he was part of the government’s economic mess and pushed the state into indebtedness. He was said to be the brain behind bringing indiscriminate loans in the names of various government-owned corporations and diverting central funds for his `pressing button’ schemes.

From the very beginning Jaganmohan Reddy gave him importance. Even before coming to power as leader of opposition he nominated Bugganna as Chairman of the crucial Public Accounts Committee, normally headed by an opposition leader. Jaganmohan Reddy had chosen the first time MLA for this coveted post denying the claims of senior leader Jyothula Nehru, which forced the later return to TDP.

He continued as finance minister even while most of the ministers were removed giving way to other aspirants. Though Jaganmohan Reddy has treated him with utmost priority, soon after the disastrous defeat of the party in the election, he is said to be feared to continue in the party which may cause harm to his business interests and also he may be held responsible for the financial irregularities during Jagan’s regime.

After asserting that both TDP and Jana Sena leadership was inclined to admit him into their parties, he tried hard for an entry into BJP. During this period, he was to be inaccessible to YCP leadership. Only after failure of all such efforts, finally he seems to have decided to settle with the YCP. That’s why after elections for the first time he was seen before the media from Hyderabad in defence of his government.

He labeled Chandrababu’s White Paper as an `Excuses Paper’, as it didn’t contain any `Action to be taken Report’ or even how to revamp the economy if it collapsed during the YCP regime? He found fault that Chandrababu mentioned only problems in the government, but failed to propose any measure to resolve.

CM Revanth Reddy Says To waive Farm Loans of Up To Rs 2 Lakh By August

Telangana Chief Minister A A Revanth Reddy asserted that the state government would waive off the farm loans of up to Rs 2 lakh by August. The announcement comes ahead of the local body elections in the state.

Speaking at a public meeting at Kalwakurthy, Nagarkurnool on Sunday, he said, “We have already waived farm loans up to Rs 1 lakh. Farm loans up to Rs 1.50 lakh will be waived by July 31. A total loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh will be completed by August.”

He also took a swipe at the BRS saying that their agony after losing power was visible. “People will reject the opposition in panchayat polls. I appeal to all Congress activists to get ready for the upcoming local body elections”, Reddy added.

Revanth Reddy said that the funds were sanctioned for the construction of guest houses and roads in Kalwakurthy. “Sanctioned Rs 10 crore to improve facilities in government schools in Madgula mandal. Developed a road network from all village panchayats to mandal centres in the constituency”, he added.

He also recalled that four lines of roads between Kalwakurthi and Hyderabad will be developed. “We will develop Kandra School with Rs. 5 crores, where I studied, and also set up Young India Skill University in the Mucherla area on August 1. The Skill University is being developed on 50 acres with Rs. 100 crores”, Reddy said.

Meanwhile, praising late Congress leader and former union minister S. Jaipal Reddy, an ex-MLA from Kalwakurthi, Revanth  Reddy said, Senior Congress leader S. Jaipal Reddy continued in public life till his last breath, whether he was in power or in opposition.

He said that Jaipal Reddy strictly believed in his principles and pursued a political career accordingly. The national leader brought laurels to every post he stepped into. Jaipal Reddy gave priority to values in politics, he added.

Furthermore, he added that the grand old party would have formed the government after the 2014 assembly elections if Jaipal Reddy had been announced as the CM candidate in Telangana.

Botsa Demanded To Reveal Rs 25,000 cr. Visakha Port Drugs Case!

Senior YCP leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana has demanded the NDA government to expose real culprits in the Rs 25,000 drugs case that was unearthed at Visakha Port on March 22. Recalling that accusations were made against YCP leaders during elections, he asked what happened to the case later?

He said that it was said at that time those drugs were imported by Sandhya Aqua Exports and also allegations were leveled as it was owned by state BJP Chief D Purandeswari’s relatives.

Did the original drug worth Rs. 25,000 crores reach Visakhapatnam? He asked and demanded to find out who are  the actors in this container case. Botsa Satyanarayana reminded that recently central investigation agencies have seized a huge amount of drugs under the name of Operation Garuda.

He said that because they were in power then, the state government was accused of doing it. What happened to the case of the drug container from Brazil? He demanded that the alliance government should conduct an inquiry into this.

He asked North Andhra MPs to ask questions about this drugs scam in Parliament and demand an enquiry, so that they should protect the prestige of this region.  He also asked YCP MPs to question about it in the Parliament during this week.

Botsa Satyanarayana said that they have seen drugs being imported from Gujarat and Maharashtra, but Visakhapatnam port has never faced such a problem. If there is sincerity, he said, the local leadership should bring facts out  immediately.

He said as that was the election time they maintained restraint on this issue and avoided political accusations and counter- accusations. He clarified that he does not want to throw mud on anyone, but only wants facts and if anyone committed fraud should be punished.

Rediculting TDP leaders’ threat of ‘Red Book’, he said before opening of red book, blue book or black book, first reveal truth from the probe reports available with the government in Vizag land scam.   He demanded that the SIT report on land scams made during the TDP regime should be revealed. He said that the SIT investigation was extended till 2004.

He admitted that the SIT report submitted during his tenure could not be released due to pressure, though he had asked his government to open the SIT at that time.

War of Words Erupts Between AP Home Minister Anitha and YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy

Amaravati: A heated exchange has broken out between Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Anitha and YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy. Vijayasai Reddy criticized the Home Minister, alleging that her words were crossing boundaries while her actions were inadequate.

Vijayasai Reddy accused the coalition government of failing to prevent killings in the state and attributed this failure to the Home Minister. He suggested that the state was gripped by fear due to the Home Minister’s remarks and demanded that she take moral responsibility and resign.

In response, Home Minister Anitha fired back, saying, “Time will soon decide whether you should resign over issues of ‘peace’ and security or whether I should resign.” She further remarked, “This is not a DNA government… This is the NDA government… People are fine… Thieves are hiding in forts and making rounds in press meets and on social media.”

The exchange highlights the growing tensions between the ruling coalition and opposition members over state security and governance issues.

Sharmila Demands Brother Jagan To Resign As MLA

APCC president YS Sharmila Reddy has demanded that her brother and YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who did not go to the assembly, resign from the post of MLA. She also said that all the YSRCP MLAs who did not go to the assembly should resign from their posts.

She lamented that Jagan’s post on social media that he will enter the assembly only if he is given the opposition status is a proof of ignorance. She deplored that such  cowardice, helplessness and arrogance are not seen or heard anywhere.

She said mocking democracy by not going to the assembly was described as bankruptcy. She reminded that MLA means Member of Legislative Assembly and not Member of Media Assembly. She wondered whether he won as an MLA because he was the voice of the people in the legislatures or because he beat his own drum in front of the media?

Sharmila said that a leader who says that he will not go to the assembly is not only not eligible for the status of opposition, but also for the status of an MLA. She made it clear that a child who does not go to school will be sent home with a transfer certificate. Likewise, she said that an employee who does not go to the office will be fired immediately.

She made it clear that those who disrespected the people’s decision and insulted the honor assembly by not going to the assembly, are not eligible to be MLAs. Sharmila said in a tweet that when if anyone is not interested in going to the Assembly as an MLA, let them go to the forests of Africa and the ice of Antarctica.

Sharmila tweeted stating that while the ruling party was releasing white papers in the full house, people did not elect MLAs to sit in Tadepalli Palace and hold media meetings. When the government is saying that Jagan Reddy has turned the state into a pile of debt during his five years of corrupt and extortion rule, she asked is it now his responsibility to respond and answer such accusations from the floor of the assembly?

She also questioned if the opposition party has no responsibility of questioning the ruling party if some injustice is done to the people?
