వైఎస్ జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి వద్ద ఉత్తరాంధ్ర పార్టీ నాయకుడు బొత్స సత్యనారాయణకు అపరిమితమైన విలువ ఉన్నదనే సంగతి పార్టీలో అందరికీ తెలుసుగానీ.. మరి ఇంతగా విలువ ఉన్నదని వారు నమ్మలేకపోతున్నారు. ఇది కేవలం బొత్సను సమర్థుడైన నాయకుడిగా గుర్తించి ఆదరించడం మాత్రమే కాదని.. బొత్స అంటే జగన్ లో చెప్పలేనంత భయంగానీ, అపరిమితమైన ప్రేమగానీ ఉంటుందని వారు వ్యాఖ్యానిస్తున్నారు. వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో బొత్స కుటుంబానికి దక్కుతున్న ప్రాధాన్యం గమనించి వారు విస్తుపోతున్నారు. ఉత్తరాంధ్ర స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎమ్మెల్సీ అభ్యర్థిగా బొత్స సత్యనారాయణను పార్టీ ప్రకటించిన నేపథ్యంలో ఆయన మరో మారు కేడర్లో చర్చనీయాంశం అవుతున్నారు.
నిజానికి బొత్స సత్యనారాయణ జగన్ కు వ్యతిరేకంగా చాలా పెద్ద స్థాయిలో గళం వినిపించిన నాయకుడు. జగన్ పార్టీ పెట్టిన తర్వాత.. అప్పట్లో మంత్రిగా, పీసీసీ చీఫ్ గా కూడా ఉన్న బొత్స సత్యనారాయణ- జగన్ ను ఒక రేంజిలో విమర్శించేవారు. జగన్ కు సీఎం పదవి మీద ధ్యాస తప్ప తండ్రి మీద ప్రేమ కూడా లేదని అనేవారు. అలాంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో విభజన తర్వాత గత్యంతరం లేని పరిస్థితుల్లో ఆయన వైసీపీలో చేరారు. అయినా సరే.. జగన్ ఆయన పట్ల మరీ అతిప్రేమ చూపిస్తారని పార్టీ కేడర్, తొలినుంచి ఆయన వెంట ఉన్న నాయకులు అనుకోలేదు.
జగన్ అధికారం దక్కినప్పుడు రెండున్నరేళ్ల తర్వాత కేబినెట్ మొత్తం మారుస్తానని అన్నారు. మార్చినప్పుడు అందరూ ఎగిరిపోతారని అనుకున్నారు గానీ.. మార్పులేకుండా స్థిరంగా ఉన్న వారిలో బొత్స కూడా ఒకరు. ఇంకోసంగతి ఏంటంటే.. తన చెల్లెలికి కనీసం ఎంపీ టికెట్ ఇవ్వకుండా, రాజ్యసభ కూడా ఇవ్వకుండా కరివేపాకులా అవసరానికి వాడుకుని పక్కన పారేసిన జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి.. మీడియా ఇంటర్వ్యూల్లో ఆ విషయం ప్రస్తావనకు వచ్చినప్పుడు.. ఒక కుటుంబంలో ఒక తరంలో ఒకరికి మాత్రమే రాజకీయ అవకాశం అంటూ తాను ఒక కొత్త సిద్ధాంతాన్ని, ఆదర్శాన్ని ప్రతిపాదించారు. తన తమ్ముడు అవినాష్ రెడ్డిని వేరే కుటుంబంగా గుర్తించారు.

జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి పరిపాలన కాలంలో తిరుమల దర్శనార్థం సిఫారసులేఖలు ఇచ్చే స్థాయి పొందిన వారందరూ కూడా వాటిని విచ్చలవిడిగా అమ్ముకుంటూ దళారీ సొమ్ము దండుకున్నారని ఆరోపణలు వెల్లువెత్తుతున్నాయి. మంత్రి పదవిని కూడా వెలగబెట్టిన ఒక నాయకురాలు ఇలాంటి దర్శనాల దందా ద్వారా ప్రతి నెల 15 లక్షల నుంచి 20 లక్షల రూపాయల వరకు తన పిఆర్వోలకు టార్గెట్ పెట్టి మరీ వసూలు చేసేదని ఆరోపణలు కూడా వినిపిస్తున్నాయి. మొత్తానికి జగన్ మోహన్ రెడ్డి రాజకీయ పతనం జరిగిన తర్వాత ఆయన పాలన కాలంలో సాగించిన అరాచకాలు తిరుమల దర్శనాల విషయంలో చోటు చేసుకున్న దళారీ పనులు సహా సమస్తం వెలుగులోకి వస్తున్నాయి!
INDIA Bloc protests Demanding Rollback of GST on Insurance premiums
After surface transport minister Nitina Gadkari raised the issue of GST on insurance products, opposition leaders also joined their voices, pushing the Narendra Modi government into embarrassment.
It was first West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee pressed the demand for removal of GST on such financial products, after Gadkari wrote a letter to the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
In a letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Banerjee said: “I request you to kindly review the anti-people taxation policies and withdraw the GST on life insurance and health insurance premiums and include deduction under sections 80C and 80D of the Income Tax Act on such premium in the new tax regime.”
Meanwhile, INDIA bloc parties protested in Parliament premises on Tuesday demanding the Centre to roll back the Goods and Services Tax imposed on health and life insurance premiums. The union government has imposed an 18 per cent GST on insurance premiums.
MPs from opposition parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and NCP-Sharad Pawar faction protested on Parliament steps with placards and demanded the government to reverse the GST. The opposition MPs called it “tax terrorism” and raised slogans against the Centre.
Congress MP Sashi Tharoor said it was unfair to impose 18 pc GST on something very essential as life insurance. “Government has announced a policy of life insurance and health insurance for all by 2047 and now they are taxing in such a way that there is no possibility to ever do that.”
Jharkhand Mukta Morcha MP Mahua Maji said the 18 pc GST was unjust and the middle class will be severely affected by the decision. She demanded that GST on the health sector should be reduced.
Samajwadi Party MP Rajeev Kumar Rai, while backing the demand, said Gadkari, despite being a senior minister in the government, had to write to the finance minister over the issue, which is an indication of the “autocratic” attitude of the government.
RJD MP A D Singh backed the demand, and said, “GST on health insurance should be abolished. Gadkari ji has given the suggestion he found appropriate. The finance minister should see how much it will benefit the people and make a decision.” Supporting the demand, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Anil Desai said he had also raised the issue in his speech during the budget debate.

TDP Gains Prominence At Centre with Inclusion In Key Parliamentary Committees
Following the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) alliance with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the party’s leaders have gained significant importance at the central level. With three MPs from Andhra Pradesh already serving as union ministers, five TDP MPs have now been appointed to various key parliamentary committees.
Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy has been inducted into the Public Accounts Committee, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy into the Public Undertakings Committee, Parthasarathy into the Estimates Committee, G. Lakshminarayana into the OBC Committee, and Krishna Prasad into the SC/ST Committee. Additionally, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy is also a member of the Housing Committee. There is speculation that the TDP might secure the chairmanship of a ministerial standing committee.
The survival of the NDA government at the Centre is widely recognized to be reliant on the support of leaders like N. Chandrababu and Nitish Kumar. Kavitha Retracts Default Petition In Liquor Policy Case
In a significant development in the Delhi liquor policy case, Kavitha, who was arrested and lodged in Tihar Jail, has withdrawn her default petition. After being denied regular bail, Kavitha initially filed a default petition. The court, which heard the petition yesterday, scheduled further proceedings for tomorrow. However, Kavitha chose to withdraw the petition today.
Kavitha’s lawyer informed the court about the withdrawal, citing the possibility of pursuing alternative legal avenues as per the law. The court was duly notified of this decision.
Kavitha had originally filed a default bail plea on July 6, alleging errors in the CBI chargesheet. However, the CBI countered these claims, asserting that the chargesheet was error-free. On July 22, the court stated it was reviewing the CBI’s chargesheet. The hearing on the chargesheet is scheduled for August 9.

VHP Call To ensure Safety of Hindus And other Minorities In Bangladesh
Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) urges the Government of Bharat to take every possible step for the safety of minorities in Bangladesh. VHP international president Alok Kumar said that our neighbour Bangladesh is trapped in a strange uncertainty, violence and anarchy.
Stating that the situation there is worrying, he said that Bharat cannot turn a blind eye in this situation as it has traditionally helped oppressed communities across the world. After the resignation of the Hasina government and her leaving the country, the process of formation of interim government is going on. In this hour of crisis, he asserted that Bharat stands firmly with the entire society of Bangladesh as a friend.
Alok Kumar said that in the recent past, religious places, business establishments and houses of Hindus, Sikhs and other minorities have also been rampaged in Bangladesh. Till last night, 22 houses in Panchagarh district alone, 20 houses in Jhenaidah and 22 shops in Jessore became targets of fundamentalists and in many districts even crematoriums were vandalised, he added.
He deplored that Temples and Gurudwaras have also been vandalised. There is hardly any district left in Bangladesh which has not become a target of their violence and terror. He reminded that Hindus, who were once 32 percent in Bangladesh, are now less than 8 percent and they too are victims of continuous Jihadi persecution.
The VHP President also said that in Bangladesh, the houses, shops, offices, business establishments of Hindus and women, children and even the centres of their belief, faith and worship such as temples and Gurudwaras are not safe. He expressed concern that the condition of the oppressed minorities there is going from bad to worse.
In such a situation, he said that it is the responsibility of the world community to take effective action for the safety of minorities and protection of human rights in Bangladesh. He cautioned that certainly It is possible that taking advantage of this situation, a big attempt may be made to orchestrate infiltration into the Bharatiya territory through the 4,096-kilometre-long (2,545 mi) Indo-Bangladesh border.
He warned the government to be extremely cautious about this. Therefore, he said, it is necessary for our security forces to keep strict 24×7 vigil on the borders and not allow any kind of infiltration.
Alok Kumar expressed the desire that democracy and secular government be re-established in Bangladesh as soon as possible. The society there should get human rights and there should be no hindrance in the continuous economic progress of Bangladesh. The society and government of Bharat will continue to support Bangladesh in this matter, he added.

Chandrababu Says He will Continue All Jagan’s Projects
Unlike former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that he will continue all projects initiated by the previous government. He made it clear that he has no intention of destroying any project started in the state. However, he recalled that the previous government had discontinued several projects started during his regime, causing heavy losses to the state.
Between 2014-2019, the TDP government planned to complete the ports under the PPP (Public Private Partnership) system. But he was reminded that the previous Jagan government had changed them to the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) system.
Though giving grants from the government is burdensome, he said considering these factors, the projects of the previous government will continue as usual. The chief minister advised the collectors that the APIIC lands have been encroached at some places in the state and that they should immediately focus on them.
Chandrababu said that he wants to bring an environment in which the government is favorable to the industrialists in the state. Due to the behavior of the previous government, the industrialists here have gone to the neighboring states. He said that the previous government had neglected the project of providing gas to the house through a pipeline.
Chandrababu said that in the last five years, the Jagan government has canceled the PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) in the power sector. As a result, he deplored that the government was forced to purchase power from the open market at a high price. However, with the intervention of the court, the production companies were paid according to the contracts and the burden was put on the people by paying in addition prices to the electricity purchased in the market.
Chandrababu has directed the officials to ensure that there should be no power cuts in the state. He said that the necessary policy will be taken towards increasing the use of electric vehicles in the state. Solar systems will be set up in government offices. The Chief Minister said that mini solar power projects will be set up at house roofs and feeder level in partnership with the Centre.
