Pawan Kalyan’s long-awaited historical action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu is all set for a grand pan-India release on July 24. Directed by Krish and Jyothi Krishna and produced by A.M. Rathnam, the film has completed all production and post-production formalities.
Speaking about the ambitious scale of the project, producer A.M. Rathnam revealed that a life-sized replica of Hyderabad’s iconic Charminar was specially erected for the film. “We could have taken Kalyan garu to shoot for a few hours near the real Charminar, but we couldn’t capture the scenes the way we envisioned. So, we recreated the monument on a massive scale to shoot key portions,” he said.
Rathnam also mentioned the construction of an authentic 17th-century harbour set for the film. “We designed the set to reflect the ports of that era, making the audience feel like they’ve stepped back in time,” he added.
The makers stated that Pawan Kalyan’s portrayal of Veera Mallu will be introduced through two contrasting sequences, offering fans a feast of visuals. Director Jyothi Krishna recently revealed that the character was inspired by legendary actors NTR and MGR. “When I was writing the script, people had already started seeing Pawan Kalyan not just as an actor but as a leader. That sentiment influenced several scenes,” he explained. The film also features custom-designed weapons to match the grandeur of the character.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu will be released in two parts. The first part, titled Sword and Spirit, is set to hit theatres on July 24. Reports indicate that a portion of the second part has already been filmed.
The star-studded cast includes Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, and Sathyaraj in prominent roles. The film has received a U/A certificate from the censor board, with a runtime of 2 hours and 42 minutes.
