Coolie Buzz Peaks as Pooja Hegde Shines in Peppy Song ‘Monica’  

Rajinikanth is all set to thunder back onto cinema screens in his upcoming film Coolie, and now evermore anticipation is building for the film. The film is written and directed by the sensational Lokesh Kanagaraj, does not need an introduction since it has already captured the audience’s attention, assuring us of a mass-entertainer filled with tension ahead.

Following the stunning reception of the first single Chikitu, the creators have released the second song called “Monica”. Composed by the consistently well-liked Anirudh Ravichander, the song is a fun dance number that infuses a lively energy into the music album of the film. Actress Pooja Hegde gets featured in this song, mesmerizing audiences with her high-energy dance performances and alluring on-screen presence. The music of Monica, written by Vishnu Edavan, with strong vocals by Subhalakshmi and Anirudh, turned Monica into an overnight chartbuster.

Rajinikanth, with his legendary screen presence and strong roles, is reportedly playing a dynamic and intense role in Coolie. The movie also has an ensemble cast in the form of Upendra, Nagarjuna, and Shruti Haasan, giving the starry project even greater gravitas. Produced by Sun Pictures and mounted on a big scale, the movie promises to be a visually stimulated and content-driven film experience.

With Anirudh scoring the music and Lokesh Kanagaraj directing, Coolie is being molded into the year’s most awaited movie. The action drama will have a big worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2025, and is poised to rule the box office this season.

2024 సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల్లో వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ అత్యంత దారుణంగా ఓడిపోయి కేవలం 11 సీట్లకు పరిమితం అయింది. ఇంత అవమానకరమైన ఓటమి బహుశా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర రాజకీయ చరిత్రలో ఏ పార్టీకి కూడా లేదు. అయితే సాధారణంగా ఏ పార్టీ అయినా సరే.. ఓడిపోయిన తర్వాత.. ఆత్మపరిశీలన చేసుకుంటుంది. ఎందుకు ఓడిపోయామో కారణాలను అన్వేషించి తెలుసుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తుంది. ఆ కారణాల మూలాల్లోకి వెళ్లి..  వాటిని దిద్దుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తారు. అలా చేస్తే మళ్లీ ఎన్నికలు వచ్చినప్పుడు కాస్త ఆశావహ ఫలితం రావచ్చునని ఆశిస్తారు.

కానీ. అత్యంత నీచంగా ఓడిపోయిన వైఎస్ జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి.. తన పార్టీ ఓటమికి సంబంధించి అసలు కారణాలను తెలుసుకునే ప్రయత్నం ఇప్పటిదాకా చేయలేదేమో అనే అనుమానం ఆ పార్టీఅలోనే అనేకమందికి కలుగుతోంది. ఎందుకంటే.. అసలు కారణాల్ని తెలుసుకున్న నాయకుడు ప్రవర్తించే తీరు ఆయనలా ఉండదని వారి అభిప్రాయం. అదంతా ఒక ఎత్తు అయితే.. వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీకి చెందిన పల్నాడు మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే గోపిరెడ్డి శ్రీనివాసరెడ్డి తన నియోజకవర్గంలో పార్టీ కార్యకర్తల సమావేశంలో మాట్లాడుతూ కొన్ని కొత్త విషయాలు బయటపెట్టారు.

వైసీపీ గత ఎన్నికల్లో వాలంటీర్ల వల్లనే ఓడిపోయిందని ఆయన అన్నారు. వాలంటీర్ల వ్యవస్థను ప క్కన పెట్టాలని తాను పలుమార్లు జగన్ కు సూచించానని, అలాంటిది ఆయన కార్యకర్తలను పక్కన పెట్టి వాలంటీర్లను నెత్తిన పెట్టుకున్నారని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఏ పార్టీకైనా కార్యకర్తలు మూలస్తంభాల లాంటివారని, పాలకులకు ప్రజలకు మధ్య వారధిలో కార్యకర్తలు ఉండాలని తాను పలుమార్లు చెప్పినా జగన్ పట్టించుకోలేదని అన్నారు.
ఇవాళ పరిస్థితుల్ని గమనిస్తే కేసులు కార్యకర్తల మీదనే పెడుతున్నారని.. వాలంటీర్ల మీద పెట్టడం లేదని, ఆయన వాపోయారు. అయితే గోపిరెడ్డి శ్రీనివాసరెడ్డి తన నియోజకవర్గంలో ఎన్నికల వేళ వాలంటీర్లను ఏ స్థాయిలో వాడుకున్నారో తెలియదు గానీ.. వాలంటీర్లను నెత్తిన పెట్టుకోవడం అనేది కేవలం వైఎస్ జగన్ వల్ల మాత్రమే జరిగింది.

ఇవాళ 2.0 ప్రభుత్వం వచ్చిన తర్వాత కార్యకర్తల బతుకుల్లో రూపురేఖలు మార్చేస్తా అని ప్రగల్భాలు పలుకుతున్న జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి అప్పట్లో వాలంటీర్లను నెత్తిన పెట్టుకోవాలని తన పార్టీ ఎమ్మెల్యేలందరినీ శతివిధాలుగా పోరారు. వారిని రాచి రంపాన పెట్టారని కూడా చెప్పవచ్చు. జగన్ మాటలు విని.. వాలంటీర్ల ద్వారా తమ విజయానికి బాటలు పడతాయేమో అని.. ఎమ్మెల్యే అభ్యర్థులు కూడా వాలంటీర్లకు చాలా ఖరీదైన కానుకలు, నగదు ముడుపులు ముట్టజెప్పి ఎన్నికలలో తమకు అనుకూలంగా పనిచేయించుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నించారు. కానీ, ఆ పప్పులేమీ ఉడకలేదు. వైఎస్ జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి పట్ల ప్రజల్లో ఉన్న అలవిమాలిన వ్యతిరేకత కారణంగా ఆ పార్టీ ఓడిపోయింది. ఈ అసలు కారణాన్ని ఆయన ఎన్నటికి తెలుసుకుని మేలుకుంటారో మరి!

Story:

Ram (Suhas) is the son of Anita, a stage dancer who walks away from her husband after a betrayal she couldn’t bear. She resolves to care for her son and decamps with young Ram to begin a new life. However, fate catches up with her when she dies just after. Ram is thereafter brought up by his aunt’s brother, Maternal Uncle (Ali), who acts as his guardian and pillar of strength.

Ram grows up having a strong aversion to movies and everything related to the film industry. His early life trauma makes him aspire to study abroad and lead a life far from what he had experienced in the past. Ram happens to visit Warangal on his mother’s death anniversary and meets Satyabhama (Malavika Manoj), who has an accident when she was driving drunk. Ram rescues her, and this experience makes a lasting impression on Satyabhama, who begins to fall for him.

As she inches towards Ram, Satyabhama discovers more about his life and encourages him to become an assistant to director Harish Shankar, hoping it will change his outlook. What is Ram’s true tale? What secrets of his past continue to haunt him? And why does Satyabhama feel that cinema might just be the turning point in his life?

Review:

Malavika Manoj makes a strong debut in Telugu cinema with this movie, giving a stunning debut performance. She shines with her expressions, natural screen presence, and crisp comic timing, especially while performing opposite Suhas. She has a few light-hearted and exciting moments with actor Sathvik as well that are quite acceptable.

Suhas is fairly good in the role, and he maintains the tone of the character. But his role does not provide him with much scope to experiment or display his true potential. The rest of the cast does a decent job and acts as per their characters, but none of them have scenes that leave any kind of lasting impression.

The story is told at a slow pace, bogged down by needless repetitions and pointless distractions that make the watching process exhausting. A lack of emotional richness — something Suhas’s films typically do so well — that is otherwise notable is sensed throughout, diminishing the engagement with the viewer.

Predictability also influences the narrative. With formulaic storytelling and not much originality, even viewers who entered with modest hopes may leave disillusioned. Suhas’s character lacks depth, and the performance is crippled by the absence of memorable scenes. It looks more like a placeholder role than one that will be remembered. Even veterans like Ali and Babloo Prithiveeraj get wasted, with roles that fail to do justice to their talent or experience.

From a musical perspective too, the film falls short. The songs are misplaced and do not contribute to the narrative or bring forth any kind of emotion. Radhan’s background score is mediocre at best, and even his die-hard fans would find the soundtrack disappointing. The song placements also disrupt the narrative flow instead of complementing it.

On the technical front, the production values are just about average. Manikandan’s cinematography brings some visual polish to the film, with a few frames standing out. However, the editing by Bhavine M. Sha needed more precision — the film could easily have been trimmed to improve the pacing and engagement.

Director Ram Godhala, who begins on a strong note with an idea, does not quite bring it on the screen. The narrative is not deep, does not have energy, nor is it clear, and as a result, the final product is undercooked. A more taut script and direct approach would have made all the difference.

Overall Malavika Manoj impresses in her Telugu debut with charm and assurance on the screen. Suhas, despite being capable, is disappointed by a role that does not provide him with much to deliver. Though the movie had a good idea, it falls short with poor storytelling, a languid plot, and an inability to connect on an emotional level. Subpar song placement and underutilization of veteran actors contribute to the disappointment. Even with some high points, the movie fails to leave a lasting impression.

అయితే ఇక్కడ గమనించాల్సింది ఏంటంటే.. చాలా మంది అరెస్టు కావడానికి తగిన విధంగా తనవద్ద ఉన్న సమాచారం తెలియజెప్పిన విజయసాయిరెడ్డి కూడా నిందితుల్లో ఒకరు. అలాంటి నేపథ్యంలో.. సిట్ పోలీసులు 12 వతేదీ శనివారం, విజయవాడలోని సిట్ కార్యాలయానికి విచారణ నిమిత్తం రావాల్సిందిగా నోటీసులు పంపారు. అయితే ఇప్పుడు ఆయన ఏకొత్త సంగతులు వెల్లడించబోతున్నారనేది కీలకంగా ఉంది.

గతంలో సాక్షిగా విచారణకు హాజరైనప్పుడే.. మద్యం స్కామ్ కు సంబంధించి తనకు తెలిసిన వివరాలన్నీ పోలీసులకు చెప్పేసానని విజయసాయిరెడ్డి వెల్లడించారు. అయితే ఆ తర్వాత పలువురిని విచారించడం ద్వారా పోలీసులు ఈ స్కామ్ కు సంబంధించి అనేక వివరాలను సేకరించారు. వాటన్నింటినీ.. తొలినుంచి ఈ స్కామ్ లో కీలకంగా ఉన్నటువంటి విజయసాయిరెడ్డి ని మరోసారి విచారించడం ద్వారా ధ్రువపరచుకోవాలని పోలీసులు అనుకుంటున్నారా అనేది చర్చనీయాంశం. ఈసారి విచారణలో మరికొందరు కీలకవ్యక్తుల పాత్ర బయటకు వస్తుందేమోనని కూడా అనుకుంటున్నారు. మూడున్నరవేల కోట్లరూపాయల ముడుపులలో.. పాత్రధారులు అందరూ తలాకొంచెం స్వాహా చేయగా.. వేల కోట్ల రూపాయల అంతిమ లబ్ధి మాత్రం బిగ్ బాస్ కు చేరిందనేది తొలినుంచి వార్తల్లో వస్తూనే ఉంది. ఆ పరిస్థితుల్లో బిగ్ బాస్ ఎవరో.. విజయసాయిరెడ్డి ద్వారా చెప్పించే ప్రయత్నం కూడా జరగవచ్చునని అనుకుంటున్నారు.

లేదా.. ఇతర నిందితులు అందించిన సమాచారాన్ని బట్టి.. విజయసాయిరెడ్డికి ఆయన చెప్పుకుంటున్నదాని కంటె పెద్ద పాత్ర ఈ కుంభకోణంలో ఉన్నట్టుగా పోలీసుల వద్ద ఇప్పటికే ఆధారాలు చేరి ఉంటే గనుక.. విచారణ అనంతరం ఆయనను అరెస్టు చేసినా కూడా ఆశ్చర్యం లేదని పలువురు భావిస్తున్నారు.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his anger over the incident of sexual harassment by a lab attendant at Kakinada Rangaraya Medical College. The Chief Minister has issued orders for strict action against the accused. He has ordered the officials to submit a report regarding this matter.

In this order, the medical and health department officials submitted a report to CM Chandrababu. On the 9th of this month, the students complained to the college principal against an employee named Kalyan Chakravarthy, who is working as a lab attendant at the medical college hospital.

Taking the incident seriously, the principal, Dr. Vishnu Vardhan, appointed a committee on the same day and conducted an inquiry into it. The inquiry committee spoke to the students till Thursday night and prepared a report. The inquiry revealed that along with Chakravarthy, three others had also harassed the medical students.

Based on the report, the CM has issued orders for action against the staff involved in sexual harassment. On the other hand, the authorities have suspended four people who were involved in sexual harassment of female medical students. Orders have been issued suspending lab attendant Kalyan Chakravarthy and lab technicians Jimmy Raju, Gopala Krishna and Prasad.

A police case has been registered against the four. Kakinada GGH officials have also sent a report on the incident and the actions taken to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Meanwhile, a stir is brewing among female students at Rangaraya Medical College over the incident.

A lab assistant and another employee have committed lewd acts against female students of B.Sc. and Lab Technology courses. The female students have expressed their grief that they were shown hell by performing disgusting acts such as touching their bodies indecently and pinching their cheeks.

Apart from this, the students complained to the college principal on the 9th of this month that he would take indecent photos and send them on WhatsApp while they were busy with their duties, threaten them to come to their rooms, and extort money.

During an internal investigation into this, 50 students expressed their grievances before the committee that some staff members in the microbiology, pathology, and biochemistry departments had behaved indecently towards them.

మరో నెలరోజుల వ్యవధిలో సూపర్ సిక్స్ లోని మరొక కీలకమైన హామీ కార్యరూపం దాల్చబోతున్నది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలోని మహిళల సాధికారతను పెంచేలా.. వారి జీవితాల్లో కొత్త వెలుగులు నింపేలా ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణం హామీ ఆగస్టు 15 నాటికి కార్యరూపం దాల్చనుంది. సూపర్ సిక్స్ హామీలలో భాగంగా… రాష్ట్రంలోని మహిళలకు వారి సొంత జిల్లాలో అన్ని ప్రాంతాలకు ఉచితంగా తిరిగేలా ఆర్టీసీ బస్సుల్లో అవకాశం కల్పిస్తామని చంద్రబాబునాయుడు సూపర్ సిక్స్ లో భాగంగా ప్రకటించారు. ఇప్పుడు ఆ సదుపాయం ఉమ్మడి జిల్లాలకు కూడా వర్తించేలా మహిళలకు అవకాశం కల్పించనున్నారు. కేవలం ఉచిత ప్రయాణం మాత్రమే కాదు.. ఆర్టీసీ పరంగా మేనిఫెస్టోలో లేని, ఎన్నికల సమయంలో ప్రకటించని అనేక పనులను కూడా అమలు చేయబోతున్నారు.
మహిళలకు ఉచిత ప్రయాణ అవకాశం కల్పించడం వలన రద్దీ పెరుగుతుందనే సంగతి అందరికీ తెలిసిందే. ఆ రద్దీని తట్టుకునేందుకు వీలుగా.. దాదాపు రెండువేల కొత్త బస్సులను ఆర్టీసికి కొనుగోలు చేసేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తోంది. మహిళలకు ఉచిత ప్రయాణ అవకాశం కల్పించడం వలన.. బస్సుల వద్ద సిగపట్లకు ఆస్కారం లేకుండా, మహిళలు కొట్టుకునే పరిస్థితి ఎదురుకాకుండా బస్సుల సంఖ్యను కూడా పెంచాలనుకోవడం చాలా మంచి పని.

ఉమ్మడి జిల్లాల పరిధిలో మహిళలకు ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణం అవకాశం కల్పిస్తే.. గ్రామీణ, మారుమూల ప్రాంతాలకు చెందిన మహిళలు కూడా.. తమ సమీపంలో ఉండే నగరాలకు, పట్టణాలకు వెళ్లి.. చిన్న చిన్న ఉద్యోగాలు చేసుకోవడం సాధ్యం అవుతుంది. చిన్న ఉద్యోగాలకు పట్టణాల దాకా వెళ్లాలంటే.. రవాణా ఖర్చులే జీతంలో సగానికి పైగా హరించుకుపోయే పరిస్థితుల్లో చాలా మంది అటు మొగ్గేవారు కాదు. ఇప్పుడు ప్రయాణం ఉచితం గనుక.. మహిళలు మరింత ఎక్కువగా ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు పొందడం సాధ్యమవుతుంది.
ఎటూ రద్దీ పెరుగుతుంది గనుక.. బస్సుస్టేషన్లలో తదనుగుణంగా ఇతర ఏర్పాట్లు చేయడానికి ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధమవుతోంది. మహిళలు వేచి ఉండేందుకు వీలుగా కోట్ల రూపాయలు పెట్టి బెంచీలను ఏర్పాటు చేయిస్తున్నారు.అలాగే దాదాపు అయిదు కోట్ల రూపాయలతో బస్సాస్టాండుల్లోని మరుగుదొడ్లను బాగు చేయిస్తున్నారు. కొన్ని ప్రధాన ప్రాంతాలలో ఆధునికీకరిస్తున్నారు. 19 ప్రధాన బస్సుస్టాండ్లలో తాగునీటిశుద్ధి ప్లాంటులను కూడా ఏర్పాటు చేయడానికి ప్రయత్నాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. ఇవేమీ కూడా ఎన్నికల హామీల్లో మేనిఫెస్టోల్లో కనిపించేవి కాదు. కానీ.. కేవలం ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణం కల్పించేసి రద్దీ పెంచేసినంత మాత్రాన చాలదు గనుక.. తదనుగుణంగా.. ఇతర ఏర్పాట్లు, ప్రయాణికులు, మహిళలకు తగుమాత్రం వసతులు కల్పించడానికి సర్కారు శ్రద్ధ పెడుతోంది.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who has expressed his displeasure over the functioning of his cabinet colleagues during a recent cabinet meeting, is said to be on a minor cabinet reshuffle mission. His warning that ‘unless you change yourself I have to change you’ is said to be indicating his intention to get rid of a few ministers.

As many as six ministers are reportedly in red zone. Already, he has to keep up his earlier announcement of inducting Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s elder brother K Nagababu into the cabinet. It is interesting that he himself made that announcement without any formal request from Jana Sena or Pawan Kalyan.  Already six months over after his announcement and Nagababu keenly waiting for his chance.

In the wake of the coalition government completing a year in AP, several surveys have been released on the government’s performance, Chandrababu is said to be focusing on the performance of his ministers. The Surveys have been indicating that   it would be difficult for about 40-50 MLAs to win back. Special mentions were also made of the performance of ministers. Many ministers also appeared in the red zone in these surveys.

In this context, CM Chandrababu expressed his extreme dissatisfaction with the performance of ministers in the recent cabinet meeting. He gave signals that who did not perform as expected would be fired. With this, it seems that Chandrababu is preparing to take many people along with Nagababu and send some others along.

On this basis, Praveen Pullata, a well-known surveyor who is close to the TDP, has revealed his predictions on which ministers may be sacked or whose portfolios may be cut, changes and additions may be made if the cabinet is purged. He also bluntly mentioned the names of the cabinet ministers.

Praveen’s tweet that the ministers may be sacked or changes and additions may be made is becoming a hot topic of discussion among the ministers, MLAs and aspirants. According to Praveen Pullata’s estimates, if the cabinet purge is carried out, Vasamsetty Subhash, Gottipati Ravikumar, Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy, S. Savitha and three other ministers are on the hit list.

He predicts that the field is ready for sacking them, and there will also be a change in portfolios. Gottipati and Kollu Ravindra are only in the name, everything is being run by the top brass. He also gave another hint. However, it is not clear what is in Chandrababu’s mind.

In a new development in AP politics, former chief minister and YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has reportedly invited former party MP and key leader Vijayasai Reddy to return the party, in an effort to effectively counter the ruling coalition politically. 

It may be recalled that Vijayasai Reddy was considered as `No 2’ in the party for a long time and also figured as A2 in all CBI and ED cases that Jagan was facing as A1.

Though Vijayasai Reddy left the party he has been accusing the `cotari’ around the former chief minister created a gulf against him and also asserting he will always seek good for his former leader.

Moreover, Jaganmohan Reddy also reportedly realized that present leaders and legal experts around his are unable to rescue the party leadership from numerous cases of corruption and economic offenses that the compilation government is imposing against them.

As a result, Jagan said to be strongly seeking Vijaysai Reddy’s assistance to face the present crisis. On the otherhand, Vijayasai Reddy also avoided criticism of YSRCP for the last few weeks and kept silent. Jagan’s eagerness to get Vijayasai Reddy came to know  at a time, SIT notices have been issued to Vijayasai Reddy again. With this, it seems that politics is likely to take a crucial turn.

Vijayasai Reddy, who was close to the YS family from the beginning, has become a key figure in the formation of the party. He went to jail along with Jagan. Along with the YCP coming to power in 2019, he acted as a mediator between Delhi and AP. He contested as Nellore MP in the 2024 elections and lost.


But, he was upset by the developments that took place in succession after the defeat of the YCP. Along with leaving the YCP, he announced his exit from politics. Meanwhile, there was a large-scale campaign that he would join the BJP at one stage. Recently Jagan also made key comments on Vijaysai Reddy leaving the party and resigning from the Rajya Sabha, accusing him of colluding with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Meanwhile, Vijayasai Reddy has clarified many times that he will not do anything that will harm Jagan. The comments made by him while attending the SIT hearings have caused a large-scale discussion in the YSRCP. However, after that, he has been expressing his views on various issues through tweets. HCA president Jaganmohan Rao sent For judicial Remand In Rs 170 crore scam

The Malkajgiri court has remanded four accused, including President Jaganmohan Rao, in the Hyderabad Cricket Association presidential election irregularities case. Earlier, the CID revealed key details regarding Jaganmohan Rao’s arrest. It has found that there was an embezzlement of Rs 170 crore in the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) in two years.

The CID has come to light in the wake of the ticket dispute with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the course of its investigation. It has been said that he was arrested on charges of irregularities and misuse of funds in the HCA, including forgery of signatures. The CID has found that Jaganmohan Rao, along with Srichakra Cricket Club President Kavitha and General Secretary Rajender Yadav, forged the signature of Gowlipura Cricket Club President and former Minister Krishna Yadav.

The CID investigation revealed that Jaganmohan Rao was elected as the HCA president on the basis of forged documents when Kavitha provided them to Jaganmohan Rao. The police officers who registered a case and started the investigation took action against the real culprits. On the other hand, the CID, which registered another case on the complaint of TCA president Guruva Reddy regarding irregularities and misuse of funds in HCA, has taken up the investigation.

A case has been registered against Jaganmohan Rao, treasurer Srinivas Rao, CEO Sunil, Sri Chakra Cricket Association president Kavitha and general secretary Rajender Yadav and they have been taken into custody, said CID Additional DG Charusinha in a statement. SRH has made sensational allegations against HCA president Jaganmohan Rao several times in the past. Accordingly, the Telangana state government has ordered a vigilance investigation.

The vigilance investigation revealed that the HCA president had put severe pressure on the SRH franchise. Based on that report, the Criminal Investigation Department registered a case. It is known that in the past, a dispute arose between HCA and SRH over complimentary tickets at the Uppal Stadium during cricket matches.

HCA had asked the Sunrisers franchise to allocate passes in all categories as before. HCA representatives, who spoke to SRH CEO Shanmugam on the phone, informed them of their decisions. Shanmugam then said that they would ensure that the tickets allocated to HCA continue as usual.
