Expressing severe concern over adulteration of ghee used to prepare laddu prasadam at Tirumala, the Vishwa Hindu Parshad (VHP) called for a judicial enquiry into the whole episode to find out the culprits behind this criminal offence against Hindus, Hindu Dharma and Hindu temples, and give exemplary punishment to the criminals behind this act, so that nobody ever dares to play with Hindu sentiments in future.

It deplored that this is another instance of hurting the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus and Sacrilege against Hindu Temples have come to light. VHP said that theTirumala Thirupati Venkateswara Temple is one of the most revered pilgrimage places, visited by crores of Hindus for centuries

It said that, ‘laddoos’ the ‘prasad’ that is offered to the Devata was deliberately adulterated by mixing beef tallow  pork lard and fish oil in the ghee used to prepare the ‘laddoos’ show, to what extent the political appointees sitting on the TTD can stoop to please their ‘vidharmi’ political masters, who have vowed to evangelise the entire state by converting the Hindus to Christianity.’

VHP deplored that crores of Hindus feel anguished at their most sacred places being systematically defiled by corrupt politicians and their stooges. The Tirumala temple sacrilege is a continuation of hundreds of similar acts done to defile Temples and hurt Hindu’s religious sentiments, so much so that it has become a  regular occurrence under various secular governments, it added.

VHP said that hundreds of incidents of hurting Hindu religious sentiments have occurred in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and across different states. It asserted that the  time has come for the temples to be released from the clutches of government and corrupt politicians and handed over to the Hindu society for proper management, administration,protection and propagation of Sanathan Dharma.

VHP  has been agitating for this for decades now, both legally and through public mobilization, and demands the state governments to release the temples controlled by them and hand them over to the Hindu society forthwith.

VHP recalled that similar incidents of adulteration in the Prasadam, have been found at the sacred Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Swamy Temple ‘aravana payasam’,  where lizard tail was found. Similarly, in the sacred  Arulmigu Dhandayuthapaniswamy Temple, expired ‘panchamritham’ prasad  was being sold to the devotees by the temple management board wilfully.

VHP lamented that it is not surprising, since the ruling party in Tamilnadu, atheist DMK has openly and repeatedly vowed to destroy ‘Sanathan Dharma’, the current Minister in charge of Hindu Temples has been enthusiastically clapping to such threats

 It also said that a person who had refused ‘teerth’ offered by the temple poojari is the Devaswom Minister in Kerala under whom comes thousands of temples including the Sabarimala Ayyappa Swamy temple, Guruvayoor Sri Krishna temple.
