BRS police complaint Against Revanth Reddy’s Inflammatory Comments

BRS taking severe exception towards Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s controversial remarks, where he allegedly threatened to “trample” BRS leaders and former ministers K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao, they filed a complaint at Banjara Hills Police Station.

In their complaint, the BRs leaders deplored that through his inflammatory and provocative comments, the Chief Minister has been inciting violence. They further expressed apprehensions over the safety and security of the BRS leaders in the wake of the Chief Minister’s remarks.

They urged the police to register a case and initiate proceedings in this regard. After filing the complaint, former SC and ST Commission chairman Errolla Srinivas expressed concern that Revanth Reddy was behaving like a criminal gang leader rather than a Chief Minister.

He deplored that the inflammatory language being used by the Chief Minister is disturbing the peace and tranquility in the state. He lamented that the Chief Minister has been making such inflammatory remarks threatening the opposition leaders only realizing his inability to govern the state.

He warned that using such words in public life is very dangerous for the maintenance of law and order. With such behaviour, he accused the Chief Minister of inciting violence, and his threats were putting their leaders’ safety at risk.

The BRS leaders also expressed concern over recent attacks on party members, including incidents involving Harish Rao in Khammam, KT Rama Rao at Musheerabad in Hyderabad, and Padi Kaushik Reddy at Kondapur in Hyderabad.

Errolla Srinivas linked the assaults against BRS leaders to the Chief Minister’s rhetoric, warning that Revanth Reddy would be held responsible for the consequences if he did not change his approach.

The BRS leaders also deplored the biased attitude being exhibited by the police, who were registering cases against them  for just sharing a post on social media. 

But, they pointed out that the same police  were not acting against the inflammatory statements of Revanth Reddy, indirectly encouraging the Congress activists to act aggressively.The BRS has demanded immediate legal action against Revanth Reddy for his incendiary remarks.

TDP Demand To Take Back Rs 4,000 crore worth Assets Given By Amul By Jagan’s Regime

TDP Spokesperson N Vijay Kumar has demanded the state government to take back Rs 4,000 crore worth assets given to Amul for failing to comply with the conditions of the government mentioned in the agreement. He alleged that the previous government showed unwarranted interest towards Gujarat-based private company Amul neglecting and weakening the cooperative dairies in the state.

Though Amul promised to invest Rs 500 crore in the state, he said it did not spend even 5 percent of it, while the state govt spent more than Rs 1,000 crore besides handing over assets worth Rs 4,000 crore. Vijay Kumar said that the YSRC govt handed over assets of cooperative dairies to Amul, claiming that it would procure 1.4 lakh litres of milk every day.

However, Amul’s peak procurement was only 3.9 lakh litres, and presently it is procuring less than 20,000 litres per day.Despite Amul admitting that it does not have the necessary logistics in Andhra Pradesh for procuring milk, he alleged that the then chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy invited them with a promise that the government would provide all the required infrastructure.

According to the TDP leader, the YSRC govt gave 33 acres of land and Rs 650 crore worth of machinery from Chittoor dairy on lease for 99 years. The Rs 650 crore worth of machinery was leased for only Rs 1 crore per annum, he said. 

Vijay Kumar further alleged that the YSRC govt paid off Rs 182 crore debts of Chittoor dairy. The units at Madanapalle and Eluru were also handed over to Amul in a similar manner. While Amul is doing business with govt assets, he wondered if the YSRC govt agreed to spend Rs 3,600 crore on Bulk Milk Cooling Units, out of which Rs 2,000 crore has already been spent.

He further alleged that schemes like ‘Asara’ and ‘Cheyutha’ were misused to benefit Amul. The milk supplied to Anganwadi was procured from Amul at a higher price by discontinuing Nandini dairy, he alleged.

Move To privatize Visakha Steel kept Aside!

Official sources indicated that the Narendra Modi-led government has decided to keep aside its proposal to privatize Visakha Steel Plant, following the forceful opposition conveyed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. And now, the government is exploring alternate options for the smooth functioning of the plant.

Presently, even banks are not coming forward to provide loans for the purchase of raw materials. So the central government is focusing on providing financial resources. As a result, the Union Steel Ministry has released Rs 1,650 crore in two installments, which are expected to be used for legitimate payments only.

The Department of Steel has suggested that these funds should be paid to the banks that refused to lend and restore the loan leverage. That provision was also enforced by the management. With that, the banks gave necessary letters of credit to import coal from abroad. Coal will arrive in another 3-4 days.

Arrangements are being made to start production in the second blast furnace from 27th of this month. There has been a demand for allocation of iron ore mines for the Visakha steel plant for two decades to avoid a shortage of raw materials. Central and state governments ignored it.

Now, it is not in a position to get mines in auction competing with other plants.  That is why the trade unions have proposed that if this plant is merged with the Steel Authority of India (SAIL), which may resolve the problem of raw materials, this seaside plant can be useful for exports and imports for SAIL as well.

But the Center seems to be finding it difficult to make a merger proposal. However, trade unions are not convinced with the government’s assurances against privatization. They are making it clear that they can believe only if the Visakha plant is removed from the list of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (Deepam) under the Finance Department.

The Modi government had earlier decided to disinvest in steel as a non-strategic sector. As a part of that, efforts were made to privatize Visakha Steel. So, the unions are arguing that only after it is denotified from Deepam, can they convince the government to stop the privatization move.

Priyanka Gandhi  Files Nomination For Wayanad Byelection

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday made her formal entry into electoral politics by filing her nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha byelection. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former party chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were also present on the occasion. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are expected to lead a roadshow from Kalpetta New Bus Stand.

With this, wednesday marks the beginning of another chapter for the Nehru-Gandhi family. If she wins, Priyanka will be the third member of her family in Parliament along with her mother Sonia Gandhi,  who is a Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan and the Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson, and her brother Rahul Gandhi, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and the Rae Bareli MP.

The Congress general secretary faces veteran Left leader Sathyan Mokeri  of the CPI and Kozhikode municipal councillor Navya Haridas of the BJP. The Congress has to figure out how to fix organisational shortcomings that saw her brother’s vote share dip from an exceedingly high 64.64% to a still pretty high 59.69%.

Of the seven Assembly segments that make up the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, Rahul Gandhi’s votes dropped sharply in Kalpetta, Mananthavady, and Sulthan Bathery and this is where the party has to put in the work.

On her nomination, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Congress MP Kishori Lal Sharma said, “It is a matter of happiness for us that our leader will debut in Parliament. Like in Amethi and Raebareli, there is enthusiasm among people in Wayanad…Priyanka ji is not new in politics, she has been in active politics…When a big leader goes to a state, it makes an impact…”

With the Election Commission (EC) announcing the bypoll to the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat last week, the stage was set for Priyanka Gandhi’s electoral debut from the Kerala constituency that could see her enter Parliament five years after joining active politics.

Soon after the EC announced the Wayanad bypoll, the Congress declared that Priyanka Gandhi (52) would be its candidate for the seat in Kerala. With the Congress fielding the AICC general secretary from Wayanad, party workers had put up posters in the constituency which had “Wayanadinte Priyankari (Wayanad beloved)” written on it.

Vasireddy Padma Leaves YSRCP, Set To Join Jana Sena?

Some prominent leaders are quitting the YSR Congress Party, YSRCP, citing the recent electoral reverse as the reason. Party members have already gone on record to quit and there are those supposed to be scouting for other alliances. The political landscape is already shifting. In addition, one of the prominent leaders who played a significant role during the opposition phase of the party and later on was an important position holder of the government has also quit the party, and this raises an expectation that perhaps some others will do so as well. Within this situation, all expectations are against Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on how he is going to cope with this situation.

The latest to quit is none other than Vasireddy Padma, the erstwhile Chairperson of the Women’s Commission. She has gone to great lengths in public to declare that she intends to quit the YSRCP. Padma was very active during the term of opposition and had, after taking power, taken up active leadership roles. She had targeted the Jaggayyapeta seat in recent elections but could not. Since then, she resigned her posts and gone into a public relation freeze, which only generated speculations about her future in politics.
During the ongoing election campaign, Padma was demanding an MLA seat for either her or her husband from former CM Jagan. Now, as reports suggest that she has quit YSRCP, her possible alliance with Jana Sena Party is being discussed around town. Her political career began in the Praja Rajyam Party, where she was an official spokesperson. After the merging of Praja Rajyam with Congress, she moved to YSRCP continuing the similar role there.

Strong relations of Padma with Pawan Kalyan and other leaders in the Jana Sena Party hint that she might prepare herself to be a member of their party as well. As Vasireddy Padma walks out, political gossip picks up speed over who follows in her footsteps. The latest attempts by the likes of Samineni Udayabhanu and Balineni to cross over to Jana Sena have become increasingly common whereas Mopidevi Venkataramana, who stepped down as MP, and Bita Mastan Rao have managed to enter the TDP fold. Reports also indicate that many MLAs are considering joining the TDP, and even murmurs are that two former ministers of the YSRCP may be contemplating a change as well. The given situation is truly fluid and is an example to be closely monitored in the future as these political alignments continue to change in Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan Files Case Against Vijayamma, Sharmila In Company Law Tribunal over shares Row

At a time speculations are spreading that compromise formulas are being worked out between YCP chief and former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his sister and APCC chief YS Sharmila over sharing of property, besides a `political truce’, filing of a case by Jaganmohan Reddy in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) against his mother YS Vijayamma and sister Sharmila creating sensation.

]Five petitions were filed this year in the names of Classic Realty Private Limited, YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his wife YS Bharti Reddy. In this petition, Saraswati Power and Industries Private Limited, Jagan’s sister YS Sharmila Reddy, his mother YS Vijaya Rajasekhar Reddy along with Janarthan Reddy Chagari, Yashwanth Reddy Kethireddy, Regional Director South East Region and Telangana Registrar of Companies have been named by him as respondents.

While one petition was filed on September 3 this year, three petitions were filed on September 11 and another petition was filed on October 18 by Jaganmohan Reddy, Sharmila Reddy and Classic Realty Private Limited. He stated in his election affidavit that YS Jagan has shares in Saraswati Power and Industries Private Limited.

It is reported that a complaint was filed in the NCLT after a dispute arose between them regarding the transfer of shares in that company. These petitions were filed in the Saraswati Company shares dispute. It was stated in the petition that  according to the MoU of August 21, 2019, shares of the company were allotted to Vijayamma and Sharmila, but the allotment was not done due to various reasons.

A petition has been filed stating that a decision has been taken to withdraw those shares.  Regarding the petition filed on 3rd September, the quorum issued notices to the respondents Rajiv Bharadwaj and Sanjay Puri and adjourned the further hearing to 8th November.  Advocate Y Suryanarayana arguing on behalf of Jaganmohan Reddy.

The real reasons for this petition need to be known. Jagan owns shares in Saraswati Power and Industries Private Limited. Jagan’s filing of a petition including that company along with his mother and sister as respondents has become a topic of discussion.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said to be unhappy with the slow progress in some high-profile cases, related to atrocities committed during the YCP regime, in which senior police officials and also key YCP leaders were also involved. At a recent review meeting, he has reportedly made it clear “Like them (YCP) I do not support tyranny and want to act ruthlessly. But, why not much progress in cases against the wrongdoers?”.

Realizing the error, the top police officials proposed to the government to hand over the cases of attack on Chandrababu’s house and TDP office to the CID. Further, the Madanapalle files burning case was also taken seriously and ordered to punish those responsible according to law.

It is believed that due to Mangalagiri police slow movements only key YCP leaders like Devineni Avinash and Lella Appi Reddy in the TDP office case could get anticipatory bail. Likewise, in Raghuram Krishnam Raju’s custodial torture case also, the police interrogation failed to fix up senior police officials in the case. So, immediately Prakasam SP was appointed as investigation officer in the case.

According to sources, the government is moving carefully to fix senior IPS officers, who had acted as proxy to former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, providing shelter to criminal activities and also harassing opposition leaders. On the direction of the chief minister, police officers are on the job in collecting concrete evidence against them before taking firm action against them.

As a result, there is a shiver in the back of those who had played a key role in several vindictive actions during the previous government’s regime. It may be recalled that senior IPS officers PSR Anjaneyulu and PV Sunil Kumar, besides Additional SP Vijaypal are facing serious charges in Raghuram Krishnam Raju’s custodial torture case.

The Guntur police have registered a case against the three under the section of attempt to murder. However, as the accused are senior IPS officers and Vijaypal, who worked at the level of additional SP, did not cooperate with the investigating officer. Alarmed by this, the government reviewed with the top police officials and handed over the responsibility of investigating the case to Damodar, who is working as the SP of Prakasam district. Now it is expected that this will force  Vijaypal to open his mouth.

Vijayawada ACP acted as investigating officer in Mumbai actress Kadambari Jethwani case. YCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar, the main accused in the case, was arrested and sent to jail. The other accused are DGP rank officer PCR Anjaneyu, IG rank officer Kanti Rana Tatha and DIG rank officer Vishal Gunni, besides ACP Hanumantha Rao, CI Satyanarayana and another lawyer.

The government felt that it would be reasonable to hand them over to the CID if they were to be interrogated and prosecuted. In the CID, where an officer of the rank of Additional DG is the chief, there is no difficulty in investigating up to the IG.

అమరావతి రాజధాని నిర్మాణంలో మరో కీలకమైన ముందడుగు పడనుంది. ఇప్పటికే రాజధాని భవనాల నిర్మాణ పనులు పునః ప్రారంభం అయ్యాయి. ఐకానిక్ భవనాల సహా సమస్త నిర్మాణాలు మళ్లీ జోరు అందుకుంటున్నాయి. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ సంస్థలకు కేటాయించిన భవనాలన్నీ త్వరలోనే మొదలు కాబోతున్నాయి. ఇలాంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో అమరావతి వ్యాప్తంగా ఎటు చూసినా నిర్మాణాలు జోరందుకుంటున్నాయి. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఇప్పుడు పడబోతున్న ముందడుగు కూడా మరింత కీలకం కానున్నది. అమరావతి రాజధాని కోసం తమ పొలాలను ల్యాండ్ పూలింగ్ ద్వారా ఇచ్చిన రైతులకు ఈ-లాటరీ విధానం ద్వారా ప్రత్యామ్నాయ ప్లాట్లను బుధ గురు వారాలలో కేటాయించనున్నారు.

భూములు ఇచ్చిన రైతులకు కూడా అమరావతిలో దక్కబోయే ప్లాట్లను కేటాయించడం పూర్తయితే కనుక ప్రభుత్వం చేపడుతున్న నిర్మాణాలతో పాటు ప్రైవేటు నిర్మాణాలు కూడా జోరందుకునే అవకాశం ఉంది. రైతులకు వారు ఇచ్చిన పొలాలకు బదులుగా డెవలప్ చేసిన నగరంలో ప్లాట్లను కేటాయిస్తామని ప్రభుత్వం ముందే ప్రకటించింది. దానికి తగినట్లుగా ఇప్పుడు నిర్మాణాలు ఊపందుకుంటున్న సమయంలో వారికి ఈ కేటాయింపులు జరగనున్నాయి. ఎలాంటి అవినీతికి, ఆశ్రిత పక్షపాతానికి తావు లేకుండా ఉండేలాగా రైతులు కేటాయించిన పొలాలకు బదులుగా ఈ-లాటరీ విధానం ద్వారా ప్రత్యామ్నాయ ప్లాట్లు ఇవ్వనున్నారు. వీటిని పొందిన  రైతులు తమకు నచ్చిన ధరలకు విక్రయించుకునే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది. లేదా ఏ ప్రాంతంలో వారికి స్థలం వచ్చిందనే దానినిబట్టి మాస్టర్ ప్లాన్ లో ఆ ప్రాంతంలో ఎలాంటి అభివృద్ధి పనులు జరుగుతున్నాయో అంచనా వేసుకొని.. తదనుగుణంగా ప్రైవేటు నిర్మాణాలు ప్రారంభించుకునే అవకాశం కూడా ఉంటుంది. తదనగుణమైన వ్యాపార సంస్థల ఏర్పాటుకు అవకాశం ఏర్పడుతుంది. ఆ రకంగా ఒకవైపు ప్రభుత్వ భవనాలతో పాటు సమాంతరంగా ప్రైవేటు భవనాల నిర్మాణం కూడా ఊపందుకోవడానికి ఇలా ప్లాట్ల కేటాయింపు అనేది కీలకంగా మారుతుందని అందరూ అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.

సి ఆర్ డి ఏ కార్యాలయంలో నిర్వహించే ఈ లాటరీ విధానంలో 20 గ్రామాలకు చెందిన 129 మంది రైతులకు ప్లాట్ల కేటాయింపు జరుగుతుంది. మొత్తం 319 ప్లాట్లను వీరికి కేటాయించనున్నారు.
ఒకవైపు అమరావతి అవుటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు కు సంబంధించిన పనులు కూడా వేగంగా అవుతున్నాయి. ఒకసారి ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు మార్కింగ్ పూర్తయి పునాదులు పడితే గనుక ఆ లోపలి ప్రాంతం మొత్తం నిర్మాణ పనులతో కళకళలాడుతుందనే అభిప్రాయం పలువురిలో ఉంది. ఇప్పుడు రైతులకు ప్రత్యామ్నాయ ప్లాట్లు కూడా కేటాయించడం జరిగితే ఆ జోరుకు మరింత జత అవుతుంది.

అనంత బాబు చాలా సహృదయంతో తాను చంపిన డ్రైవరును వాళ్ళ ఇంటికి డోర్ డెలివరీ చేశాడు. పినిపె శ్రీకాంత్ తాను అంతకంటే గొప్ప సహోదరుడిని అని నిరూపించుకోవడానికి తాను చంపించిన వ్యక్తి కుటుంబానికి ఆర్థిక సహాయం చేసి ఆదుకోవడం  విశేషం. పినిపే శ్రీకాంత్ అరెస్టు తరువాత ఈ హత్య వెనుక గల చాలా విషయాలు ఒక్కొక్కటిగా వెలుగులోకి వస్తున్నాయి.

కోనసీమ అల్లర్ల సమయంలో జరిగిన ఈ హత్యకు సంబంధించి కేసును వైయస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ హయాంలోనే మూసివేసిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. అయితే చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ప్రభుత్వం ఏర్పడిన తర్వాత హతుడి కుటుంబం- మంత్రి వాసంశెట్టి సుభాష్ ను ఆశ్రయించడంతో ఆయన డిఐజి వద్దకు తీసుకువెళ్లి ఆమెకు న్యాయం చేయించాల్సిందిగా కోరారు. కేసును పోలీసులు తిరగతోడిన తర్వాత పినిపే శ్రీకాంత్ పాత్ర బయటకు వచ్చింది. మాజీ మంత్రి విశ్వరూప్ తదితరులంతా వాసంశెట్టి సుభాష్ ఉద్దేశపూర్వకంగా తన కొడుకుని ఇరికించడానికి ఈ కుట్ర చేశారని చవకబారు ఆరోపణలు చేస్తున్నారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో వాసంశెట్టి సుభాష్ మరికొన్ని కొత్త సంగతులను బయటపెడుతున్నారు.

తన ప్రధాన అనుచరులలో ఒకడైన దుర్గాప్రసాద్‌ను పిన్నిపె శ్రీకాంత్ హత్య చేయించిన తర్వాత.. బాధిత కుటుంబానికి లక్ష రూపాయల సాయం చేశాడని చెబుతున్నారు. అలాగే అతడు దుర్గాప్రసాద్ భార్య శ్రావణ సంధ్యను జిల్లా ఎస్పీ కార్యాలయానికి తీసుకువెళ్లి రెండు ఎకరాల పొలం ఇప్పిస్తామని కేసు పెట్టవద్దని సలహా ఇస్తూ పెద్ద మనసు చూపించినట్లుగా కూడా సుభాష్ బయటపెట్టారు.

విచారణలో పూర్తి వాస్తవాలు తెలుస్తాయని, చట్టం తన పని తాను చేసుకు పోతుందని మంత్రి వాసంశెట్టి సుభాష్ అంటున్నారు. వైసీపీ హయాంలో తొలుత మిస్సింగ్ కేసుగా నమోదు, తర్వాత హత్య కేసుగా మారిన ఈ వ్యవహారాన్ని ఎందుకు క్లోజ్ చేసారో కూడా చెప్పాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నారు. చూడబోతే ఈ హత్య వ్యవహారం పినిపె విశ్వరూప్ రాజకీయ జీవితానికి సమాధి కట్టే లాగానే కనిపిస్తోంది. అనంత బాబుకు శ్రీకాంత్ కు ఒక్కటే తేడా. ఆ కేసులో హతుడు మాత్రమే దళితుడు. ఈ కేసులో హత్య చేయించిన వాడు కూడా దళితుడే అని ప్రజలు అనుకుంటున్నారు.
