After losing power, several YCP leaders are slowly deserting former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, mostly due to fear of facing criminal cases for their high-handed and corrupt practices during the last five years. Presently, a former minister and a trusted associate of YS Jagan Jogi Ramesh is also said to be ready to leave the party.
He is reportedly discussing with his supporters on his political steps to be taken. He is said to be considering joining either TDP or Jana Sena, so as to be closely associated with the ruling establishment.
However, everyone knows that Jogi Ramesh’s name is at the top among the leaders who is believed to be the voice of the YCP.He became familiar with his attack on the residence of the then leader of opposition and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and later he was rewarded by Jagan with a cabinet berth.
He was also notorious for his hard-hitting criticisms against Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on various occasions on various platforms. Due to his background, it is certain that cadres of both TDP and Jana Sena may not tolerate his attempt to join their respective parties.
Jogi Ramesh has openly declared on various platforms that he is like `Lakshmana of Lord Rama’ for YS Jagan. Jogi Ramesh is currently facing investigation in the case of attack on the residence of former TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. The government has recently handed over this case to the CID.
CID has accelerated the investigation of this case. It is known that Jogi Ramesh has already appeared before the Mangalagiri police several times for investigation as part of the investigation of this case. Similarly, ACB officials have registered a case against Jogi Ramesh’s son Jogi Rajiv and Jogi Ramesh’s brother Venkateswara Rao for illegal transactions in the Agri Gold land deal. Jogi Rajiv has already been arrested and interrogated by ACB officials in this case.
