Nayanthara recently unveiled her long-awaited Netflix documentary, titled ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale,’ showcasing her wonderful journey in the film industry, discussing her past relationships, and her marriage to the director Vignesh Shivan.

The case was heard today on November 27, with further developments awaited. Nayanthara is yet to respond on the matter and is likely to make it before the next hearing.

To the unknown, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan holds significance as Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan fell in love during the making of this Tamil film, which was produced by Dhanush.

Adani Denies Corruption; Sarma Tags GOI & SECI

Adani Group denied that the chairman of the group, Gautam Adani, and his nephew Sagar Adani had been booked under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) in the US.  It  acknowledged that they had been charged on three counts of (a) alleged securities fraud conspiracy, (b) alleged wire fraud conspiracy and (c) alleged securities fraud, though.

The Group had come under severe criticism over the last week or so for violating SEBI rules and not informing the stock exchange and investors of the ongoing investigation against it in the US.

In a stock exchange filing, Adani Green Energy Ltd, which is at the centre of the bribery allegations, said reports claiming that the three have been charged with FCPA violations “are incorrect”.

They have been charged with offences that are punishable with a monetary fine or penalty. “Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain have not been charged with any violation of the FCPA in the counts set forth in the indictment of the US DOJ or civil complaint of the US SEC.

Meanwhile, in separate letters to finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, EAS Sarma, former union power secretary, has urged an inquiry in India into the indictment of Gautam Adani in the United States.

Not only did the bribery scheme alleged by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) unfold in India, he holds, but the union government and a public sector undertaking under the ministry of renewable energy SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) are the co-conspirators. The union government, he says, is actually the ring leader, he has said in multiple interviews during the past few days.

He had earlier written directly to the Prime Minister among others, suggesting that SECI’s power purchase agreement with Adani Green to purchase solar power at exorbitant rates for the next 25 years was designed to fleece Indian energy consumers. He had of course received no reply from anyone.

What the FBI has done in the United States, could and should have been done by the CBI. What the Securities Exchange Commission of the United States did was doable in India itself by SEBI and what a New York court did by issuing summons and a warrant of arrest, should have been done by an Indian court, Sarma points out.

Rashmika Mandanna Gets Emotional As Pushpa 2 Wraps, Hints At Pushpa 3

Pan-Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna got emotional as she wrapped up the shoot of the highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule.

With Pushpa 2 scheduled for a pan-world release in theaters on December 5, as the release date nears, the film team recently completed their shooting. The film leads, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, announced this interesting update on their social media handles.

On Tuesday, the Pushpa actress Rashmika Mandanna penned an emotional note, reflecting on her 5-year journey with the Pushpa franchise. Describing her packed schedule, she revealed that after a long day of shooting on November 24, she flew to Chennai for an event and returned to Hyderabad the same night. With only 4 or 5 hours of sleep, she headed straight to her final day on the set of Pushpa 2, where she shot an amazing song.

The actress also hinted at the possibility of Pushpa 3 and wrote, “Out of the 7/8 years last 5 years being on this set almost made this set my home in the industry and finally it was my last day.. of course there’s still so much work left and apparently a part 3 but it felt different.. it felt overwhelming.. it felt like it was ending.. some sort of sadness that even I didn’t understand and suddenly all the emotions came together and the days of extreme hard work came rushing back to me and.. I was feeling tired, exhausted but at the same time so grateful.”

She continued expressing how much she would miss everyone so much and wrote, “All of the feelings together and I broke down so bad after so long. But I don’t even understand why I am reacting this way. So dear diary, 25th November, 2024 had been a very hard day but I hope it’s all going to be worth it one day.

ACB to Investigate Adani Bribery Complaint on Jagan

The AP Anti Corruption Bureau (ACP) has received a complaint by Tuesday seeking investigation into US Court’s indictment alleging Gautam Adani’s group has paid huge bribes of Rs 1750 to get agreement reached with YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime on solar power purchase.

The complaint was given by Nallamothu Chakravarthy, founder of the Center for Liberty. He stated in the complaint that the US agency’s investigation revealed that Adani Company had given a bribe of Rs 1,750 crore to Jagan. He urged the ACB to investigate the Adani Company’s agreement with SECI and take strict action against those responsible.

Chakravarthy handed over his complaint to ACB Joint Director Supraja and sought investigation against YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Gautam Adani, Former Energy Secretary N. Srikanth, former energy minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy and others. He urged to formally register his complaint under section 173 of BNSS as an FIR.

He mentioned details of the US Department of Justice filed criminal case, SEC complaint and US Court indictment, in which it was clearly stated that Gautam Adani had met Jaganmohan Reddy personally in 2021 and how the entire power purchase operation was engineered, in which a large sum of bribes were involved.

He also mentioned former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy’s admission that he was forced to sign at the mid-night by Srikanth. He said that this constitutes a breach of public trust and is in direct violation of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and other relevant acts.

This complaint shows that several sections, including several who have been actively associating with TDP are impatient towards state government’s mute response in this case, even after indictment by US Court providing ample prima facie to take up suitable action.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seems to be hesitating to move forward in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proximity with Gautam Adani. However, activists like Nallamothu Chakravarthy seem to be determined to take this issue to the logical end. He is likely to approach the higher courts, if the ACB failed to respond to his complaint.

AP Targets ₹10,000 Cr Investment, 2 Lakh Jobs

The  state government has formulated the Andhra Pradesh Textile Policy with the aim of providing employment and jobs to two lakh people and investments of Rs 10,000 crore. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the handloom and textile sector with Minister Savita and the officials at the Secretariat.

Ten policies have already been announced to bring large-scale investments to the state, and Chandrababu suggested that a multi-purpose policy be formulated in the textile sector. The new policy should provide subsidies to investors, incentives to weaving, processing, garments and integrated units.

It has been decided to increase the capital subsidy and provide additional incentives to SC, ST and BC as well as women in the new policy. The investments coming into this sector should be much better than the 2018-23 policy, so that they provide employment to women from the village level.

Chandrababu expressed satisfaction with the draft of the new textile policy and said that he would discuss it in the cabinet soon and take a decision. Handloom Textile Department officials said that the 2024- 29 textile policy has a target of exporting billion dollars in five years.

Chief Minister said that integrated textile parks will be developed in 5 areas of the state under the PPP method. The goal of this policy, designed with the Farm to Fabric tag, is to convert all the yarn produced in the state into textiles.

He said that the draft has been divided into six categories, micro, small, medium, large, mega, ultra, etc., depending on the level of investment, and a maximum subsidy of Rs 10 crore has been provided. CM Chandrababu said that large-scale employment can be provided to women at the village level through investments in this sector.

Chandrababu said that the state will become the best platform for investments in textile manufacturing through the new policy.  Along with the textile policy, the CM also reviewed the leather policy. CM Chandrababu suggested that the leather policy should be moved forward after further work.

New Deep-Tech Hub Set for Amaravati

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to prepare a proposal for the construction of a deep technology iconic building in Amaravati on the lines of the Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad. He said that the future of today’s youth will depend on technologies like deep technology and artificial intelligence.

The CM expressed the opinion that a high-tech city has been built in Hyderabad to promote IT, and a deep technology iconic building should be built to seize the opportunities currently arising from deep technology. He conducted a review of the IT department at the Secretariat.

The CM also discussed the incentives to be given to IT companies and IT developers. He directed that plans be prepared to set up 5 lakh work stations in the state by 2029 and 10 lakh work stations by 2034.

The CM directed the officials on issues such as leasing out land required for the construction of co-working spaces and office complexes on a subsidized basis, granting permissions for infrastructure development under the single window system, and bringing IT companies under the industrial power tariff.

Chandrababu suggested the officials prepare plans to provide seed funding of up to Rs. 25 lakhs to SC, ST, BC, minorities and women as part of the startup policy. The CM made several suggestions on the establishment of 5 zonal innovation hubs linked to the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub for the development of innovation and startup ecosystem in the state.

He said that the ‘Ratan Tata Innovation Hub’ should function in Amaravati as the center for zonal hubs in 5 regions namely Central Andhra, Rayalaseema, South Andhra, Godavari and Northern Andhra. Chandrababu said that officials should work with the goal of providing jobs to people in the state per month.

After the policy announcement, district collectors should also identify suitable places for setting up workstations. They should assess how many people are working from home across the state with the secretariat employees. They should develop the skills of those who come to work at the work stations according to future needs.
