‘NaaNaa Hyraanaa’ song : Mellifluous Tune and Entrancing Visuals

After offering a folk treat with ‘Jaragandi Jaragandi’ followed by a mass feast with the fast-paced ‘Raa Macha Macha’, the makers of Ram Charan’s long awaited political thriller Game Changer have now come up with the third song ‘NaNaa Hyraanaa’ and it turns out be an instant earworm because of the mellifluous tune and soothing lyrics. 

NaNaa Hyraanaa is a typical and old-school melody which narrates the cracking chemistry between the lead pair Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. The honeyed vocals of Shreya Goshal have been impressively complemented by Karthik with his impeccable voice. Ace lyricist Ramjogayya Sastry pens evocative and soulful lines which catch the attention of listeners in the first instance to make it an instant chartbuster. 

Composer SS Thaman did a fabulous job with his tune as he belts out a simplistic and minimalist rendition to make sure the superlative lyrics and flawless vocals aren’t overshadowed. Not to forget the entrancing visuals and the attractive costumes in the song which make it more appealing. It’s been quite a while since moviegoers witnessed a melody song with spectacular visuals shot in one of the last scenic locations in a foreign country. And, it seems like NaNaa Hyraanaa is going to end the wait. 

Director Shankar is known for showcasing never-before-seen locales in his songs with mind-blowing picturisation and lavish visuals. NaNaa Hyraanaa is likely to bring the vintage Shankar back when we get to see the full video song once the film releases.

YSR Congress Party chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a sharp attack on Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, suggesting that he has taken Andhra Pradesh towards decline. This is the reason why, according to Jagan, Naidu not only made the institutions of the state weak but also could not keep its election promises like providing the stipend of ₹ 10,000 to each volunteer.

Under Jagan’s rule, the state was visibly experiencing developmental progress. This period had three new ports being built, and new medical colleges established. Jagan asserted that his government was committed to delivering welfare programs without bias, focusing on the people’s well-being.

The issue of free electricity for farmers was taken up by Jagan. He blamed Naidu for the financial troubles of the state’s DISCOMs, whose debts rose from ₹29,000 crore to ₹86,000 crore during Naidu’s rule. Jagan’s government had launched solar energy initiatives through the AP Green Energy Corporation in 2020, which received competitive bids starting at just ₹2.49 per unit. Jagan alleged that Naidu was trying to stop these efforts.

Underlining the benefits it would bring, Jagan revealed that in September 2021, Solar Energy Corporation of India, or SECI, had agreed to provide 9,000 MW of power at ₹2.49 per unit with 3,000 MW to be delivered before 2024. The agreement would save Andhra Pradesh ₹4,400 crore every year and up to ₹1 lakh crore over 25 years. With zero interstate transmission charges, that was the good news too.

Jagan questioned the value of Naidu’s power agreements, which he said were reportedly set at ₹5.90 per unit, and whether they were more beneficial to the state than his own agreement at ₹2.49 per unit. He clarified that his decision was made after extensive discussions in the state cabinet and slammed Naidu for spreading misinformation. Jagan also issued a warning of legal action against those involved in spreading false claims.

Bachhala Malli Teaser : Allari Naresh Tries To Be Like A ‘Vanga’ hero

Tollywood actor Allari Naresh, who predominantly appeared in comedies until a few years ago, seems to have decided to go against the grain and explore different genres irrespective of box office verdicts. After appearing a handful of intense dramas in the last few years, he is once again coming up with another mass entertainer titled ‘Bachhala Malli’ which has him playing the role of a tough guy with uncouth mannerisms. 

Ahead of the film’s release on December 20th, the makers unveiled a new teaser today evening to give a sneak-peak into Naresh’s character. Naresh appears as reprobate and good-for-nothing guy who is not guilty of his bad qualities as he seeks the attention of his lady love played by Amritha Aiyer. He admits that he smokes, drinks alcohol and also chases girls. He doesn’t care a damn even if it is the police who commits the crime and ready to face the consequences. 

In this new makeover, Naresh tries to be like the typical lead protagonist in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s films. It is well known how Vanga’s heroes display the masculine urge to demonstrate their eccentricities with people around them and the way they react during certain situations make other develop hatred towards them. Naresh is in a similar role in this film. 

The teaser hints that Bachhala Malli is going to be an intense drama with Naresh in a complete raw avatar. Amritha Aiyer looks innocent and beautiful. Rao Ramesh seems to have got another meaty role after a long time. 

Director Subbu Mangadevi presented Allari Naresh in a complete rough avatar for the first time with a village backdrop. There appears to be a solid family drama with strong emotions. The technical values and thoroughly impressive and the production values are very good. 

Richard M. Nathan’s cinematography and Vishal Chandrasekhar’s background score elevates the mood. Hasya Movies is the production house behind this film.

Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes Teaser Promises Ultimate Fun

Tollywood’s talented comedian Vennela Kishore is coming to entertain audiences, but this time as a protagonist with his upcoming film “Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes.” Written and directed by writer Mohan, the film team recently announced the release date and confirmed that the film is slated for a Christmas release, hitting theaters on December 25, 2024.

With just a month to its theatrical release, the filmmakers unveiled the film’s teaser today, promising ultimate fun and mystery. The film is set against the backdrop of the 90s; the teaser opens with a news reporter on the assassination of then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, setting the stage for the story.

Vennela Kishore takes on the role of a quirky detective tasked with solving a challenging case, blending humor and intrigue in his portrayal as Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes. His character resembles Chiranjeevi’s iconic character Chantabbai.

With a gripping narrative, the teaser also highlights the film’s stellar supporting cast, including Ananya Nagalla as the female lead, alongside Siya Gowtham, Anish Kuruvilla, Ravi Teja Mahadasyam, Muralidhar Goud, and others in significant roles.

The film is produced by Vennapusa Ramana Reddy under the banner of Sri Ganapati Cinemas, presented by Lasya Reddies. Mumbai Police’s traffic control room received a threatening call on Thursday where the caller claimed a plan was in place to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to police sources, the caller has been identified as a woman. A case has been registered at Mumbai’s Amboli police station, and efforts are underway to apprehend her, police said. 

Initial reports suggest the woman is mentally disturbed, but authorities are proceeding with the investigation following standard procedures, police said. The police have launched an investigation and are adhering to all protocols while tracking the suspect, they added. 

This is not the first time that Prime Minister Modi has received death threats. Earlier, a video of a man from Haryana went viral in which he threatened to shoot Modi. In the video, the young man identified himself as a person from Haryana.

He said that he was a resident of Mohana village in Sonipat. In the video, he said that if Prime Minister Modi comes in front of him, he will shoot him. Similarly, in 2022, similar threats were made against Prime Minister Modi by a person named Xavier. Xavier wrote in a letter sent to Kerala BJP President K. Surendran that he would kill Modi. He said that Modi’s situation would be like Rajiv Gandhi’s.

The responsibility of the security of the Prime Minister of the country lies with the Special Protection Group or SPG. The first security ring around the Prime Minister is taken care of by the SPG. This team involved in the security of the Prime Minister is very strong. They are trained according to the Secret Service guidelines. They will be equipped with modern weapons like the MNF-2000 assault rifle, automatic gun, and 17M revolver.

Meanwhile, last year in July also, the Mumbai Police control room had received a similar threat call wherein the call had warned to kill Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. As per officials, an unidentified person had called on the landline number of the Mumbai Police Control Room and threatened to kill the Prime Minister and the UP CM. The caller had also reportedly threatened to carry out “26/11-like attack” in the country.

World Bank, ADB Approved Rs 15,000 Crore Loan project For The First phase of Amaravati

The World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have jointly approved a loan project of Rs 15,000 crore for the construction of the first phase of the capital of Amaravati. For this, the state government has signed an agreement with the World Bank and the ADB in the presence of the central government.

The World Bank and the ADB will provide a total of Rs 13,600 crore of this project loan, Rs 6800 crore each. The state government has informed that the remaining Rs 1400 crore will be provided by the central government, and the central government will provide a guarantee on this loan. This loan will have to be utilized in the next five years.

In addition to this loan, the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and Germany’s KfW Development Bank have formed a consortium and agreed to provide a loan of Rs 15,000 crore (11,000 crore + 4,000 crore) for the construction of the first phase of the capital of Amaravati.

The state government has not made any effort to get a World Bank loan within five months of coming to power. After the bifurcation of the state in 2014, the Chandrababu Naidu government started efforts to raise a loan from the World Bank as soon as it came to power.

However, as the political alliance between the TDP and the BJP was broken as the 2019 elections approached, the central BJP government withdrew its request for a loan from the World Bank for the capital of Amaravati in July 2019. After that, the YSRCP government brought forward the issue of three capitals, and the World Bank did not take any steps in the last five years.

Now that the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP coalition government has come to power, it has again moved on the precipice of seeking a World Bank loan, a World Bank team has visited the Amaravati capital region, and the loan has been approved in collaboration with the ADB.

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) and the Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) will play a key role as stakeholders in the construction of the capital.

 The World Bank has released a 118-page environmental and social systems report on what is going to be built in the capital of Amaravati, how to raise funds for the construction, what the administrative procedures should be, how it should be in the future, etc. In this report, the World Bank has outlined its strategy for the development of the capital of Amaravati, the tasks, procedures and development model to be undertaken by the state government.

This report states that out of a total of 53,748 acres, 34,390 acres have been acquired from 28,740 farmers through land pooling, and that the current capital area is 217 square kilometers, and there are about one lakh people in the 25 existing gram panchayats. It is said that the government complexes required for administration, i.e. the seed capital area, will be 16.94 square kilometers.
