AP Govt: New Ration Cards by Sankranthi, Apply Now

Chandrababu Naidu government, intending to issue new ration cards to all the eligible poor people in the state, has started receiving applications for ration cards from Monday.

The government also provided an opportunity to make changes and additions to ration cards.

For this, it has advised those who are eligible to apply at the village/ward secretariats. It has been said that new cards will be granted to those who are eligible for Sankranthi after examining all the details.

During the previous government’s tenure, Jagan’s picture was printed on ration cards along with the YSRCP colors. Now, new cards will be given in their place. The budget has also been released for this.

The coalition government in the state has issued orders providing an opportunity to amend the existing ones along with the granting of new cards. Whether it is to grant pension to the elderly, widows, differently-abled people, to provide fee reimbursement to students, or to apply the Deepam-2 scheme, one must basically have a ration card.

Ration cards are a must for the welfare schemes implemented by the state and central governments. The previous YSRCP regime thousands of people were deprived of the benefits of welfare schemes due to the fact that changes and additions were not allowed in the ration cards.

The coalition government will take steps to correct this mistake. After the previous government came to power in 2019, instead of the old cards that were already there, they were printed with the pictures of the then Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and the party symbols.

At that time, instead of giving new ones, the existing cards were filtered out and reduced the total number of cards. They were not allowed to divide if any of the family members got married. There was no possibility of deleting and adding names. Due to this, the government’s welfare and subsidy schemes were not available to many at that time. Officials estimate that the number of ration cards are likely to increase further with the decision of the current coalition government.

Telugu States Chief Secretaries Meet on Bifurcation Issues

Chief Secretaries of two Telugu States are meeting on Monday at APIIC office in Mangalagiri to discuss pending bifurcation issues. This meeting will be in continuation to the earlier meeting of two Chief Ministers held in Hyderabad. This time, they are likely to focus on about Rs 8,000 crore funds locked up in the accounts of joint government institutions.

As both the states are facing financial problems, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has advised his counterpart Revanth Reddy to resolve this issue amicably so that to benefit both the states. As both the states failed to come to a conclusion, that money remained unrealized in bank accounts.

Moreover, the Telangana government is seriously considering Chandrababu Naidu’s request to allot three of its buildings in Hyderabad for the utilization of AP government. In this meeting, Telangana Chief Secretary is likely to convey her government’s decisions on the proposals made by Chandrababu Naidu in the earlier meeting.

On July 5 this year, the two Chief Ministers Chandrababu and Revanth discussed several key issues in the meeting held in Hyderabad between them. The discussion was mainly focused on the institutions mentioned in Schedules 9 and 10. The funds in their accounts are being discussed.

The Center has already suggested that the two states should resolve these issues among themselves. After the meeting of the two Chief Ministers, the Center has released more than Rs 2,000 crores of funds in the electricity dues from Telangana to AP. More funds are yet to come.

There is a chance to discuss this issue in today’s meeting also. Chandrababu has already asked Revanth to take a decision on the total dues of Rs 7,200 crore. The main discussion will be on the distribution of loans of 15 EAP projects between AP and Telangana.

The mutual exchange of employees was also discussed in the meeting of the two Chief Ministers. A decision has already been taken on the relief of Telangana employees from AP. Along with this, it seems that there is a possibility of discussing and coming to a decision on the distribution of professional tax. The issue of repayment of expenses of joint institutions in relation to the two states will also be discussed.

Varun Tej to seek training in Martial Arts

Contrary to the ongoing rumours that Mega hero Varun Tej’s next project with talented Telugu filmmaker Merlapaka Gandhi has been put on the backburner due to budget issues, the pre-production activities are said to be happening at a brisk pace as the formal launch is round the corner. Reportedly, it is going to be an action comedy set in a first-of-its kind Indo-korean backdrop.

Sources revealed that Varun Tej will undergo intense training in popular marital art form and combat sport, Taekwondo. There will breathtaking acton episodes with a tinge of comedy infused into the narrative with gripping screenplay. As the story unspools in South Korea and then shifts to India, there will be episodes featuring fight sequences where the lead protagonist will need to perform Taekwondo stunts with perfection.

So, Varun Tej will gain expertise training from Taekwondo masters who will travel all the way from Korea to Hyderabad for thorough guidance. Majority of the shoot will be done in South Korea and some of the leading cities in India. Varun Tej will flex his muscles once again after portraying the role of a boxer in his flop film Ghani.

Reports further suggest that the untitled film will feature actors from Korean and other countries. Despite Varun’s flop streak, UV Creations is betting big on this new age drama. Solid budget has been earmarked for technicians and other production costs. The filming is expected to begin next year.

RSS chief warns against decline in populate rate, calls for 3-child norm

SS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday expressed concern about India’s falling fertility rate and said couples should have at least three children to ensure that India’s population does not decline.

Stressing the importance of family, he warned that a society will perish if its population growth rate falls below 2.1. Speaking at the ‘Kathale Kul (clan) Sammelan’ in Nagpur, he said that ‘kutumb’ (family) is an integral part of society, with each family serving as a unit.

“Decreasing population is a matter of concern because the Loksankhya Shastra says that if we go below 2.1, then that society perishes, no one will destroy it, it will perish by itself,” Bhagwat added.

Therefore, he said that it should not come below 2.1 at any cost. As per the population policy of 1998 or 2002, I don’t exactly remember, it was said that the population growth rate should not go below 2.1. Now a human is not born in the 0.1 fraction … So, it should be a minimum of three), he added.

Dr Bhagwat further said, “We count the family as a vital unit that makes up a society. The culture and values are inherited and passed from one generation to another, thus preserving the core systems and values that are timeless and relevant not just to Indians but also globally.”

His latest comments gained significance at a time when the Chief Ministers from the South have expressed concern about the ageing population in their states.

In October, Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, whose party is an ally of BJP-led NDA, urged people in his state to have more children and said, “We are thinking of providing incentives to families with more children, encouraging couples to have more children.” His government also scrapped the two-child rule for contesting local body elections in the state. Telangana is now likely to follow suit.

A day after Naidu’s remarks, his Tamil Nadu counterpart M K Stalin of DMK said in jest how blessings for newlyweds had changed over time and went on to refer to an old Tamil saying that enumerated 16 forms of wealth, ranging from cows and land to children and education. Referring next to a potential effect that lower population growth might have on delimitation, likely to be carried out in 2026, Stalin jokes: “Why not aim for 16 children?”

Earlier, during a Dussehra rally in Nagpur, the RSS chief said that India needs a well-thought-out population policy that applies equally to all communities.

YCP MP Pushes for South India’s First Parliament Session – Will Delhi Agree?

Tirupati MP and YSRCP leader Dr. Maddila Gurumurthy has appealed to the Centre to hold one Parliament session in the south in view of severe adverse weather conditions in the national capital New Delhi, which are affecting the work of members. In this context, MP Dr. Gurumurthy wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju on Sunday.

He mentioned in his letter that this issue was mentioned in the”Idea of linguistic states’ book written by the architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. BR Ambedkar. He recalled that in 1968, independent member Prakash Veer Shastri had also introduced a private member’s bill in the Lok Sabha.

He said that holding Parliament sessions in the south would further increase national integration. He said that the absence of adverse weather conditions would also increase productivity in Parliament.

Both the houses of Parliament meet three times a year. The budget sessions begin at the end of January. The sessions are held in two phases with a break of a few years in between. The monsoon sessions of Parliament are held in the months of July-August. The winter sessions of Parliament are held in the months of November-December.

However, for a long time, many southern MPs have been demanding that at least one of these three sessions be held in South India, ignoring their respective political parties. In the capital Delhi, the cold during the winter season and the heat in the summer are unbearable. Also, during the monsoon sessions, one has to face severe heat.

Similarly, during the winter sessions, there is severe cold and deadly levels of air pollution. In these circumstances, the demand to hold these parliamentary sessions in South India has come to the fore again. In that context, YSRCP MP Dr.  Gurumurthy recently made this proposal as his ex-officio platform.

On the other hand, MP Dr. Gurumurthy is trying to raise this issue in the Lok Sabha during the ongoing winter session of Parliament. He is ready to give notices seeking a discussion during Zero Hour. Meanwhile,  Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, MP from Bhuvanagiri in Telangana and Congress party leader, also welcomed Gurumurthy’s effort. He said that he will discuss this issue with his party leadership and try his best.

“Congress in Crosshairs: Kishan Reddy Unveils Explosive Telangana Charge Sheet”

Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy criticized that there is no difference between the rule of Congress and BRS. On Sunday, the BJP released a charge sheet titled ‘Congress Guarantees Juggling’.. 6 Guarantees.. 66 Frauds. 24X7 fraud.. This is the one-year rule of Congress in Telangana..’

Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy lamented that the Congress has been deceiving the people in the name of change for the past year. It has completed a year since it came into power by convincing the people with the slogan of ‘Change should come in Telangana.. Congress should be the one’. It has been a year since the Congress came into power by winning votes.

Kishan Reddy criticized that the people of Telangana are facing more difficulties under the Congress government than under the BRS government in the past year. He clarified that the people of Telangana voted for change, saying that the governance system has not changed even though the rulers have changed, but they have come to know about the Congress guarantees juggling within a year.

He said that the BJP will sensitize the people in the name of Congress guarantees in Telangana.. 6 lies.. 66 frauds. “The Congress party came to power by making unheard of promises. The guarantees given are not being fulfilled. They say they will fulfill the promises in 100 days, but they are not able to complete them even after a year. This government is celebrating victory without solving public problems. People are getting confused,” he added.

Kishan Reddy said that the BJP party will expose the failures of the Congress government at the field level, which deceived the people after coming to power by making false promises in the name of guarantees, promises and declarations. He reminded that the Congress had announced on December 9 last year that it would waive off loans to everyone, but even after a year, the loan waiver has not been completed.

Kishan Reddy was furious that the Congress had promised to give Rs. 15,000 per acre under the farmer’s guarantee, but the farmer has not been assured even once till now. He said that BRS has completely failed to fulfill the aspirations of the activists.

He criticized the dictatorship, family rule and corruption that continued for ten years. Kishan Reddy made it clear that there is no difference between BRS and Congress rule, saying that the people have overthrown the tyrannical and corrupt rule after ten years.
