Producer Drops Big Hint: Jr NTR May Star in Trivikram’s Pan-India Mythological Saga

Tollywood is buzzing with fresh rumours that the highly awaited project featuring Icon Star Allu Arjun and acclaimed director Trivikram Srinivas might not move forward as planned. Instead, inside sources suggest that Young Tiger Jr NTR could now take the lead in this high-profile film, sparking massive anticipation among movie buffs.

Adding fuel to the speculation, renowned producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi dropped a cryptic update on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle. In his post, he mentioned that his “most favourite and most powerful god” will soon be seen on screen — a line that quickly grabbed attention. Fans are linking this statement to Jr NTR, especially with the post featuring a verse associated with Lord Kumaraswamy, often symbolising strength and intensity — traits that perfectly reflect NTR’s on-screen persona.

This development has fans reminiscing about the blockbuster success of Aravinda Sametha, the last time Trivikram and NTR joined forces. Their powerful collaboration then set new benchmarks at the box office, and the possibility of a reunion has now created major buzz across the industry.

While there’s still no official confirmation, the hints are too strong to ignore. If all goes as speculated, the Trivikram–NTR combo could once again deliver a box office storm — and Tollywood is more than ready for it.

High Court suspends Gali Janardhan Reddy’s 7 year jail term in illegal mining case

Former Karnataka BJP minister and mining tycon Gali Janardhan Reddy, the main accused in the Obulapuram Mining Company case, got a big relief from the Telangana High Court on Wednesday.

The high court suspended the seven- year jail sentence awarded by a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special court in the Obulapuram mining case and granted them bail. Justice K. Lakshman pronounced the orders on the pleas by the convicts for bail as well as a stay on the conviction.

The High Court granted conditional bail to Janardhan Reddy, his relative B.V. Srinivas Reddy, managing director, Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), D. Rajagopal, then Director of the Mining Department, and Janardan Reddy’s personal assistant, Ali Khan.

It may be recalled that case, registered by the CBI 16 years ago, related to illegal mining by OMC in Anantapur district of undivided Andhra Pradesh. A CBI special court in Hyderabad on May 6 awarded seven-year imprisonment to Janardhan Reddy and three others and imposed a fine of Rs.20,000 each. Rajagopal was sentenced for an additional four-year imprisonment.

Sabitha Indra Reddy, Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh when the case was registered, and retired IAS officer B. Krupanandam were acquitted of the charges framed against them due to lack of evidence. Sabitha Indra Reddy later joined the BRS, served as a Minister in the erstwhile BRS government, and is currently the Maheshwaram MLA from that party.

In the wake of this verdict, the Karnataka Legislative Assembly has revoked the membership of Gali Janardhan Reddy.  Gali Janardhan Reddy has approached the Telangana High Court challenging the CBI Court verdict. His lawyer argued that his prison sentence should be suspended, otherwise he risks losing his constituency.

He brought to the court’s attention that he has already spent three and a half years in prison and that he will suffer serious losses if a by-election is held for his seat. The High Court, after hearing the arguments of Gali Janardhan Reddy’s lawyer, granted him temporary relief.

It ordered him to submit two sureties of Rs. 10 lakh each. It also imposed conditions that he should not leave the country and surrender his passport to the court. It seems that these conditions were imposed with the intention of being available for further investigation.

However, the CBI strongly opposed the suspension of Gali Janardhan Reddy’s sentence. It told the court that there were no extraordinary circumstances to suspend the sentence and that other cases were also pending against him. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the High Court took a decision to suspend the sentence.

Meanwhile, the High Court adjourned to June 19 hearing on the discharge petition of IAS officer Y. Srilakshmi. It directed the CBI to file the counter to her petition.

Justice PC Ghosh Questioned kCR For 50 Minutes on Kaleshwaram project

Justice PC Ghosh Commission questioned former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for 50 minutes on various issues related to the Kaleshwaram project. The Kaleshwaram Commission questioned him as the 115th witness on Wednesday.

He said that he was slightly unwell with a cold and asked that no one be present during the investigation due to illness.

Taking into account KCR’s request, Justice PC Ghosh questioned KCR without the media and others.

KCR gave the report on issues related to the Kaleshwaram project to the commission. He also provided the power point presentation report on the Kaleshwaram project.  The commission examined the report given by the Vigilance Department and NDSA, including the Comptroller and Auditor General-CAG report, regarding the Kaleshwaram project.

As the investigation was almost completed, the Justice PC Ghosh commission questioned former ministers Etela Rajender and Harish Rao on policy decisions and financial issues.  Although KCR was supposed to appear before the commission on the 5th of this month, he asked for another date due to health reasons, but the hearing was postponed to today.

KCR has been in contact for the past few years for the hearing. Former Minister Harish Rao met with him several times. He discussed with lawyers and retired engineers and prepared the necessary details, information and documents. KCR, who was in Erravalli, directly reached the commission’s office BRK Bhavan from there in the morning.

BRS leaders and activists gathered there in large numbers during KCR’s hearing. Only KCR and 9 BRS leaders were allowed inside BRK Bhavan, and as per KCR’s request, no one was present during the hearing.

Along with KCR, MLC Madhusudhanachari, MLAs Harish Rao, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Padmarao Goud, Bandari Lakshma Reddy, MP Vaddhiraju Ravichandra, RS Praveen Kumar and Mahmud Ali went to BRK Bhavan.

Harish Rao, who worked twice under Chief Minister KCR, looked after the irrigation department and the finance department for some time. The irrigation department was with KCR at the time of the inauguration of the Kaleshwaram project and the collapse of the Medigadda pier. The commission questioned him based on the investigation conducted till then and the issues that came out of it.

Kavitha Arrested For Her protest Against Hike In Bus charges At Bus Bhavan

Telangana Jagruti president and BRS MLC Kavitha protested against the state government’s increase in bus pass charges. Under her leadership, the activists tried to besiege Bus Bhavan, the headquarters of the TSRTC. In that order, the police stopped her attempt. As a result, she sat on the road, causing a huge traffic jam.

To this extent, a heated argument took place between Kavitha and the police. A tense situation arose locally due to Kavitha’s dharna. They demanded that the increased prices be withdrawn immediately. As the protest program turned tense, the police intervened and detained MLC Kavitha along with several Jagruti activists.

Later, she was taken to Chandrayangutta police station. On this occasion, Kavitha expressed her concern that the Revanth Reddy government was looting the people of Telangana indiscriminately and that it was putting a heavy burden on students and the public. Jagruti activists also reached the police station in large numbers and raised slogans against the police and the government.

After being released from the police station, she expressed her anger that the state government has increased the bus pass prices and imposed a heavy burden on the common man. She deplored  that students and low-wage employees will face financial difficulties due to this decision taken by the government. She explained that with this price increase, an additional burden of more than Rs. 300 per month is likely to be imposed on the passenger.

She accused the government of robbing the people. In addition, MLC Kavitha was angry that she was receiving complaints that not enough buses are running on many routes for the convenience of students. The opposition is alleging that the increase in the fares of Ordinary, Metro Express and Metro Deluxe by almost 20 percent will put a heavy burden on the residents of Hyderabad city.

However, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has already responded to this increase in bus pass fares. He explained that it has been a long time since bus pass fares were increased and that they had to be increased in this context.

CM Chandrababu Instructed To Ensure 3 crops Are Grown In A Year

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to take steps to ensure that 3 crops are grown in 365 days and suggested that irrigation should be provided in advance to avoid the threat of cyclones and the Kharif crop plan should be implemented properly. He opined that widening of the ridges of paddy fields and intercropping with NREGA funds would bring high profits.

CM Chandrababu held a high-level review with the officials of the Agriculture Department at his Undavalli residence and suggested that a 3-crop system should be introduced to ensure that the cultivated lands remain green throughout the year. He said that summer crops should be grown in 5 lakh acres in the North Coast, Godavari and Krishna Delta areas in the summer of next year.

In districts like Anantapur, he said that crops are cultivated for only 4 months out of 365 days and the lands are left empty for 8 months, which is damaging the soil fertility. So, he suggested  that conditions should be created to cultivate some kind of crop in the remaining 8 months as well. Farmers should be encouraged to grow varieties that are in high demand in rice, he added.

Chandrababu advised that the system of growing vegetables and fruit plants on ridges as intercrops should be implemented experimentally to further increase the income of rice farmers. Aquaculture and horticulture should also be tried in the middle of or around the rice crop.

He cautioned that the cyclones that come in October mostly caused damage to the North Coast and East Godavari districts and wanted to bring forward the harvest season to protect the Kharif crops from the cyclones. The officials brought to the attention of the CM that water has already been released through canals to the lands in West Godavari, Eluru, Konaseema, East Godavari, Kakinada and Krishna districts.

He said that plans have been prepared to provide water to Guntur, Bapatla and Prakasam districts in the first week of July. Officials said that while the state mainly cultivates paddy, sorghum, groundnuts and cotton during the Kharif season, the cultivation of groundnuts and cotton is decreasing.

While the cultivation of sorghum has increased, they said that the cultivation of rice is continuing steadily. On the other hand, it was revealed that 3 new services have been made available through WhatsApp Governance Mana Mitra.
