Rakul Preet Singh on Career And Marriage: Reveals Early Struggles And Insights

Actress Rakul Preet Singh continues to excel in her career post-marriage. In a recent interview, she shared insights into her early days in the film industry, career choices, and personal life.

Reflecting on her initial struggles, Rakul revealed that she had limited knowledge of the South Indian film industry during her modeling days. “While pursuing college, I received my first film offer from the Kannada industry after they saw my pictures. At the time, I was unfamiliar with South Indian cinema and had not watched many films. As a result, I hesitated before accepting the role. However, after discussions with my father, I agreed and made my debut with Gilli,” she said. The actress also noted that balancing academics and acting posed challenges but added that her debut film strengthened her passion for cinema.

Speaking about missed opportunities, she shared an incident involving filmmaker Puri Jagannadh. “After my debut, I received a call from Puri Jagannadh, who requested 70 days of my schedule. However, I declined, stating that I could only provide four days due to college commitments. At the time, I did not fully understand the duration required for a film shoot. Despite this, he understood my situation. I also had to let go of several other film offers during that period,” she stated.

Discussing her perspective on relationships and marriage, Rakul emphasized the importance of self-completeness. “Everyone experiences heartbreaks, which offer valuable life lessons. I turned to spirituality during such phases. Trusting someone and then parting ways is a difficult experience. Love is a beautiful emotion, but one should not depend on another person to fill a void in life. It is essential to recognize one’s self-worth. When I met Jackky Bhagnani, we shared similar views on this. Over time, our bond strengthened, and we eventually got married with our families’ blessings,” she concluded.

“Robinhood” Telugu Movie Review

Movie Name : Robinhood

Release Date : March 28, 2025

Cast : Nithiin, Sreeleela, Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Devdatta Nage, David Warner, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Brahmaji, Aadukalam Naren, Mime Gopi, Shiju, Shine Tom Chacko etc.

Director : Venky Kudumula

Music Director : GV Prakash Kumar

Telugumopo.com Rating :  2.5/5

Story:

Ram (Nithiin), a kind-hearted orphan, grows up in an environment where survival depends on self-reliance and compassion. Driven by his strong moral compass, Ram transforms into a modern-day Robin Hood. Using his wit and daring nature, he masterminds high-stakes heists, targeting the wealthy to support the orphanage that shaped his life. His noble deeds remain hidden behind his clever disguises and seamless escapes.

In a bid to apprehend this elusive thief, the Home Minister entrusts the mission to an unyielding special officer, Victory Varghese (Shine Tom Chacko). Despite relentless attempts, Varghese fails to corner Ram, who continues to outsmart the authorities at every step.

Meanwhile, Neera (Sreeleela), the daughter of prominent Australian scientist and businessman Abhinav Vasudev (Shiju), embarks on a journey to India with a deeply personal purpose. Her path leads her to the enigmatic village of Rudrakonda, a place shrouded in mystery and danger.

How are Ram and Neera connected to Rudrakonda? What secrets lie buried in the village, and how does Ram rise to challenge Sami, a formidable figure wreaking havoc in the region? These intriguing twists and turns form the crux of the story.

Review:

Nithiin gives a performance in line with his typical style but regrettably fails to exhibit variation and depth. His role doesn’t provide much scope for development, which means that he doesn’t have much scope to excel. His expressions are stagnant throughout the film, and hence his performance seems uninspired and half-hearted.

Sreeleela again is stuck with a stereotypical character that gives her little opportunity to prove herself as an actor. Her character is mainly planned to provide the visual beauty with maximum use of her glamour and dance steps. Although she works energetically, her part doesn’t support the story to a great extent, leaving all her potential unrevealed.

The rest of the supporting cast, which features veteran actors such as Rajendra Prasad and Vennela Kishore, tries to provide humor with some good one-liners. Some moments do succeed and bring out laughs, but a lot of it comes across as forced and uncomfortable. Shine Tom Chacko’s character is decent but is not heavy enough to leave an impact. While others, such as Devdatta Nage, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Brahmaji, Aadukalam Naren, Mime Gopi, and Shiju, present functional performances without anything particularly memorable, there is some glamour provided by Kethika Sharma in a special song. David Warner’s eagerly awaited cameo, at first, generates enthusiasm but eventually proves disappointing owing to insipid writing around the character.

Director Venky Kudumula has been more interested in creating humorous moments rather than developing a good, engaging storyline. The plot becomes secondary, with the jokes dominating the plot. The characters are not developed well, and the story does not present something new or something that makes an impact.

The film gives some laughs during the first half, but the tempo is slow. The second half, sadly, plummets, depending on tedium-inducing repetition and one-liner exchanges that try the patience of the audience. Even David Warner’s arrival, intended to be the highlight of the film, proves to be a letdown, with his character being used as a gimmick. The movie ends on a setup for a sequel, but the conclusion is not emotionally satisfying and leaves the audience discontented.

GV Prakash Kumar, whose music has had a lasting impression in the past, disappoints this time. The songs make little impact and serve as roadblocks in the story. The background score does not fare much better, either, with not enough intensity or charm to complement important scenes. Though the production values are on point, not having a finely crafted script coupled with effective direction takes away from the overall movie experience.

In summary, the film leans heavily on humor but struggles to deliver a cohesive story or well-developed characters. While it offers a few lighthearted moments, the predictable plot and lack of originality make it a forgettable watch.

“MAD Square” Telugu Movie Review

Movie Name : MAD Square

Release Date : March 28, 2025

Cast : Narne Nithiin, Sangeeth Shobhan, Ram Nithin, Priyanka Jawalkar etc.

Director : Kalyan Shankar

Music Director : Bheems Ceciroleo

Telugumopo.com Rating : 2.75/5

Story:

After completing their engineering studies, D.D. (Sangeeth Sobhan), Ashok (Narne Nithin), and Manoj (Ram Nithin) set out on separate paths to chase their dreams. D.D. aspires to become the sarpanch of his village and is deeply focused on this ambition. Ashok, who has had an upper-class upbringing, passes his days idly, whereas Manoj is working at a bar, recounting stories of sorrow to elicit sympathy and attention.

The three friends’ mundane existence is turned upside down when they receive news of their dear friend Ganesh, whom they call fondly as Laddu (Vishnu), getting married. Uninvited but keen to party with them, the three friends decide to gatecrash the wedding. Laddu, in fear of their unruly behavior, dreads their arrival. His worst nightmare comes true when his bride runs away with another man on the night of the wedding. To lift the spirits of Laddu and shake him out of this shock, the team decides to head to Goa for a well-earned vacation.

What begins as a fun and lighthearted holiday turns to chaos very quickly when one of their Vasco da Gama chains is robbed from a museum, and they are unfairly suspected of having done so. With this case of high-profile robbery, they now find themselves entangled, the friends need to clear their names while trying to steer their way through complexities and turns. Can they clear their names and salvage their friendship? Will Laddu find closure after his heartbreak?

Review:

The camaraderie of Manoj (Ram Nithin), Ashok (Narne Nithiin), and Damodhar (Sangeeth Sobhan) is the welcome friendship that propels the comedy and levity in the movie.

The limelight falls on Vishnu Oi as Laddu, who gives an unforgettable performance with his fantastic timing for comedy. He effortlessly portrays the character as relatable and fun. Ram Nithin manages to hold his ground and contribute to the chemistry of the group, while Sangeeth Sobhan impresses with his humor and wit.

Muralidhar Goud excels as Laddu’s father, infusing warmth and laughter into his performance and impeccable comic timing. Sunil’s cameo as MAX, the gangster, lends a seasoned flavor to the comedy, but his character is a bit underdeveloped. Priyanka Jawalkar is beautiful on screen but doesn’t get much space to prove her acting mettle. Supporting actors Raghu Babu and Anudeep KV provide a couple of guffaws, although their roles are short-lived.

MAD Square is a lighthearted coming-of-age comedy that survives on its humor and lively moments. Even though the storyline takes a secondary position, the movie continues to provide laughs with its fast-paced and compact duration. It’s ideal for people looking for seamless entertainment.

The second half gets in on the action with a barrage of laughs, particularly in the sidesplitting wedding sequence that includes Laddu. Laughs are there in the second half too as the gang goes haywire in Goa and situations are laugh-out-loud material. While a few jokes ring forced, and the plot isn’t deep, the movie makes up for its relentless comic punch.

Director Kalyan Shankar concentrates on developing a laugh riot instead of an intelligible story. Although the movie is full of humorous parts, with a more intense plot and with the characters used more effectively, the experience would have been better.

In music, the “Swathi Reddy” track is a foot-tapping highlight, and the rest of the tracks are good enough. The background score is fine, too, matching the light-hearted feel of the movie. Good production values provide a visual gloss, boosting the movie’s overall look.

All in all, MAD Square is an enjoyable entertainer that serves up plenty of chuckles and positive vibes, making it a enjoyable watch for anyone who enjoys madcap comedies.

No Relief Reached Guntur chilli Farmers From Centre’s Market Intervention, prices Further Decreasing

Though the Narendra Modi-led union government promised to rescue Guntur Chilli farmers from steep falling of prices through Market Intervention Scheme (MIS), no relief reached them and prices are further decreasing in the Guntur Market Yard. Farmers are forced to sell their produce at distress prices.

In the wake of the decline in prices over the past three months, farmers have not yet received the package announced by the central and state governments through the Market Intervention Scheme. On the 22nd of last month, it was announced that the center would help if the price of a quintal of chilli falls below Rs. 11,781.

Even after more than a month, the relevant procedures have not been released even today. With this, not a single farmer has received MIS. For the past month, chilli farmers have been getting a minimum of Rs. 9,000 per quintal and a maximum of Rs. 13,000.

Although the price increased slightly in the last week of last month, the price has further deteriorated since the last 15 days. More than one lakh ticks of goods are coming to the chilli yard daily. Of this, 80 to 90 percent of the goods are getting a maximum price of only Rs. 9,000 per quintal.

The price is being quoted up to Rs. 13,000 for only 10 to 20 percent of the goods. However, officials are sending reports to the government that the minimum price is not decreasing by Rs. 9,000, and the maximum price is ranging from Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 14,000. With this, it is reported that the government feels that the price will be 10 to 15 percent higher than the price announced by them, and therefore there is no need to implement the market intervention scheme.

Although the government says that if the price falls below Rs. 11,781 as announced, the relevant difference will be paid, but to whom should compensation be given in this regard? The officials do not have statistics yet on who is eligible for this. It is said that the number of farmers who have registered for e-crop is mainly very low.

Moreover, since there are many tenant farmers in chilli cultivation, there is no indication that the actual cultivator will receive financial assistance from the government. In the budget for the financial year 2025-26, only Rs. 300 crore has been allocated for the price stabilization fund for all crops.

How much chilli will be allocated to the farmer has become a topic of discussion. In the 2024-25 agricultural season, chilli was cultivated in 4,18,665 acres in the state. In this regard, 2,17,490 farmers and tenant farmers have registered their names in e-Crop. However, officials say that very few of the farmers who come to the yard are on the e-Crop lists.

Giving A Big Boost To Demoralized YSRCP cadre, It Emerged Triumphant In Local Body By-polls

Giving a big boost to the demoralized YSRCP cadre, it has  emerged triumphant in the  local body bye-elections

held on Friday. The party clinched 30 out of 52 seats, dealing a significant blow to the NDA coalition of the TDP and Jana Sena Party, which managed to secure only 11 and 1 seats, respectively.

Elections were held for the posts of one Zilla Parishad Chairman, 24 MPPs, and 17 Vice MPPs in the state due to various reasons. With elections in 10 seats postponed, the results raised questions about the NDA’s governance and YSRCP’s enduring grassroots appeal. The local body elections, often seen as a barometer of public sentiment at the grassroots level, have painted a complex picture of Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape.

YSRCP’s victory, though not as sweeping as their 2021 performance, where they secured a staggering 99.95% of seats, demonstrates that the party remains a formidable force despite its loss in the 2024 Assembly elections.

For the NDA, which rode a wave of anti-incumbency against YSRCP to power in 2024, the results are a sobering reminder of the challenges they face in consolidating their mandate at the local level.

The YSRCP’s success in bagging 30 seats, translating to approximately 58% of the contested seats, underscores the party’s deep-rooted connection with rural voters.  However, the party’s performance is not without its caveats.

The drop from a near- total sweep in 2021 to 58% in 2025

suggests that YSRCP’s support base, while robust, is not impervious to erosion. The 2024 Assembly election loss, coupled with criticisms of economic stagnation and the controversial three- capitals proposal during their tenure, may have dented their appeal among some sections of the electorate.

Nevertheless, this victory provides a much- needed morale boost for the YSRCP as it seeks to rebuild and reclaim its position in the state.

For the ruling NDA coalition, comprising the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP, the local body election results are nothing short of a jolt. The TDP, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, secured 11 seats, while Jana Sena, under Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, managed a paltry 1 seat.

The NDA’s underwhelming showing comes less than a year after their landslide victory in the 2024 Assembly elections, where they collectively won 164 out of 175 seats (TDP: 147, Jana Sena: 21, BJP: 8). This stark contrast has led to speculation about whether the alliance is facing early anti- incumbency or a deeper disconnect with the grassroots.

These results reflects the TDP  faces challenges in reclaiming

its historical dominance at the grassroots level. Despite Chandrababu Naidu’s reputation as a development-oriented

leader, his focus on long- term projects, such as the revival of

Amaravati as the state capital, may not resonate with rural voters who prioritise immediate benefits over grand visions. For the NDA, the results are a wake-up call.

KTR wondered why Bhatti Vikramarka silent on Injustice By Center To Telangana

BRS Working President and former minister KT Rama Rao, accusing  the central government of not caring about Telangana, wondered why Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was silent in his budget on the injustice done to Telangana.

Speaking in the assembly on the budget, he deplored that Telangana was wronged in the central budget, but there is no mention of it in the state budget. He said that the center is imitating Telangana schemes. He said that he was surprised to see the state budget with a lot of criticism against the previous BRS government,  but asked why they are not holding the center accountable?

KTR mentioned that only after his party got zero seats in the Lok Sabha elections the state got zero in the central budget too. He cautioned the Congress government that if they do not fight, the center will not provide funds to the state. KTR assured that they are ready to support the Revanth government to fight the center for the benefits of the state.

He deplored that the center has not given a single medical college to Telangana and not a single rupee has been allocated to the Turmeric Board in the central budget. A special package was given for the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, but KTR flagged that industries in Telangana would be closed.

KTR lamented that though there are two central ministers from Telangana, they are left as useless ministers. He questioned whether even a single rupee was given to the temples in Telangana? KTR demanded that the Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara be recognized as a national festival.

He asked that the center that provides funds for the Kumbh Mela, why funds are not being provided for the Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara? He alerted the state government that the center will not provide funds if we do not ask them.

He strongly ridiculed the propaganda carried out by the present government that there has been financial anarchy in the last 10 years in the state. He said that during their tenure, they borrowed only Rs. 40,000 crores per year, and developed a lot by borrowing.

He recalled that the CAG had said the same thing. KTR drew severe criticism that the Congress borrowed Rs. 1.58 lakh crores this year alone. He emphasized that Telangana surpassed Haryana and Punjab in grain production in 2022 itself. KTR said that Rs. 61,000 crores were spent on free electricity for cultivation.

Vishwak Sen’s Funky: A Tollywood Director’s Story

Vishwak Sen is all set to captivate audiences with his upcoming film Funky, a highly anticipated project from Sithara Entertainment. Directed by Anudeep KV, who gained immense fame with his blockbuster comedy Jathi Ratnalu, the film has already wrapped up its first schedule of shooting. The stunning Kayadu Lohar, who recently stole the spotlight in Return of the Dragon, has been roped in as the female lead.

Producer Naga Vamsi recently offered some fascinating insights into the storyline of Funky. He stated that the story is based on the quirky love story between a young, ambitious director and the daughter of a producer. He also stated that the film overwhelms the traditional heroine’s stasis in the plot. Finally, he remarked that the film could be compared to a biopic on criticism educator, Nag Ashwin, which generated further interest and curiosity.

For Vishwak Sen, Funky is a crucial project as he seeks to bounce back with a strong hit after some recent releases that didn’t fully meet audience expectations. Fans are pinning high hopes on this collaboration with Anudeep KV, expecting the film to showcase Vishwak’s versatility and charisma in a new light.

Anudeep KV’s track record of producing offbeat and engaging movies has generated a buzz around this project. His skill in infusing comedy with emotion has caught people off guard, and with Funky, he looks to create another memorable on-screen experience. Kayadu Lohar’s casting as the lead actress only serves to heighten anticipation for the film, as this movie might just prove to be a game-changer for her career in Tollywood.

Following the success of his previous venture, Prince, Anudeep KV’s next project is already generating significant buzz. Excited by Naga Vamsi’s interesting disclosures regarding the plot, Funky has quickly become one of the most discussed films in Tollywood. Audience members await its release enthusiastically, hoping it achieves blockbuster caliber, just like Jathi Ratnalu.

Pawan Kalyan’s Indifferent Attitude Towards Governance causing worry

Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is being projected as the `future Chief Minister’ by his fans, particularly his community people. That’s why he was able to muster overwhelming support from some sections of people during last year’s elections, unlike in 2019.

After taking charge as Deputy Chief Minister with key ministries like Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Forests, expectations on his focus on governance started rising nonparallel. However, slowly his indifferent attitude towards his role in the government caused worry not only to the coalition partners, but also to his fans.

Many are surprised that he is taking cabinet meetings, assembly sessions and other crucial government functions very lightly. He is attending as he likes. Last month he was absent during the cabinet meeting stating ill-health, but soon after he was seen on a pilgrimage in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

During the recent budget session of the AP assembly, he attended for a few days only. During his absence in the assembly, several questions related to his key departments were forced to postpone. After skipping the assembly, he participated in the Jana Sena foundation day meeting held in Pithapuram.

More prominently his absence in the two-day collectors’ conference this week also surprised many. In this meeting, a seat was allotted for Deputy Chief Minister next to Chandrababu, but Pawan Kalyan did not come.

Moreover, Pawan Kalyan’s presence in his chamber in the Secretariat is also said to be minimal when compared to other ministers. Although Jana Sena sources say that he has back pain, he continues to attend his own programs.

There is also a debate as to whether Pawan Kalyan would have swayed so much in the Pithapuram assembly if he really had back pain? Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who often cautions ministers and senior officers, who are not seen alert in their duties, seems to be unable to react to the indifferent attitude of Pawan Kalyan.

Many supporters of Pawan Kalyan also felt it bad that his attitude may not send positive signals among people, who are looking towards him as the `future Chief Minister’. Unlike him, two other ministers from Jana Sena, Nadendla Manohar and Kandula Durgesh are seen active in their functioning.

CM Chandrababu Assure Muslims He would protect Waqf properties

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has assured the Muslim community that he would protect the Waqf properties. He promised to take responsibility for the development of Muslim minorities in all ways, not only to maintain religious harmony. He made it clear that Telugu Desam is the only one that has worked for the development of Muslims.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu participated in the Iftar celebrations organized in Vijayawada. The CM expressed his happiness at being a partner in the Ramzan festival for the past 40 years. He described the month of Ramzan as a combination of discipline, charity and religious thoughts.

He praised the strict fasting from morning to evening as a great tradition. The CM said that they are moving forward by cultivating a positive attitude like reading the Quran, praying, meditating and helping others, and reminded that the good quality that the Quran teaches is that those who have money should help others.

Chandrababu praised the people who help the poor from their hard-earned money by starting a program called Zakat during the holy month of Ramzan.

He said that the P-4 program is being launched in the month of Ramzan itself and reiterated that it is being undertaken with the aim of providing assistance to the 20 percent of the poorest families who are the 10 percent of the wealthy.

He revealed that we are moving forward under the name of Margadarshi-Bangaru Kutumbat and that it is my life’s ambition to be with the poor. He clarified that the poor among Muslims will be brought into development in all ways.

He said that Rs. 5,300 crores have been allocated for the welfare of minorities in this year’s budget, which is more than Rs. 1,300 crores of last year. He criticized the previous YSRCP government for bringing GO 43 and making the Waqf Board controversial.

Now, he said that GO was cancelled and the Waqf Board has been revived. It was announced that qualified Imams will be appointed as Qazis. Minister Farooq, Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Aziz, Minority Rights Protection Committee State President Farooq Shibli and Muslim religious leaders participated in the program.
