Actress Rakul Preet Singh continues to excel in her career post-marriage. In a recent interview, she shared insights into her early days in the film industry, career choices, and personal life.  

Reflecting on her initial struggles, Rakul revealed that she had limited knowledge of the South Indian film industry during her modeling days. “While pursuing college, I received my first film offer from the Kannada industry after they saw my pictures. At the time, I was unfamiliar with South Indian cinema and had not watched many films. As a result, I hesitated before accepting the role. However, after discussions with my father, I agreed and made my debut with Gilli,” she said. The actress also noted that balancing academics and acting posed challenges but added that her debut film strengthened her passion for cinema.  

Speaking about missed opportunities, she shared an incident involving filmmaker Puri Jagannadh. “After my debut, I received a call from Puri Jagannadh, who requested 70 days of my schedule. However, I declined, stating that I could only provide four days due to college commitments. At the time, I did not fully understand the duration required for a film shoot. Despite this, he understood my situation. I also had to let go of several other film offers during that period,” she stated.  

Discussing her perspective on relationships and marriage, Rakul emphasized the importance of self-completeness. “Everyone experiences heartbreaks, which offer valuable life lessons. I turned to spirituality during such phases. Trusting someone and then parting ways is a difficult experience. Love is a beautiful emotion, but one should not depend on another person to fill a void in life. It is essential to recognize one’s self-worth. When I met Jackky Bhagnani, we shared similar views on this. Over time, our bond strengthened, and we eventually got married with our families’ blessings,” she concluded.
