National crush Rashmika Mandanna celebrates her 28th birthday today. As Rashmika Mandanna celebrates another year of life, the movie makers of her upcoming highly anticipated film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ have unveiled the first look at her as Srivalli.

The makers took to social media to unveil the first-look poster and captioned, “Wishing the nation’s heartthrob ‘Srivalli’ aka @rashmika_mandanna a very Happy Birthday. #Pushpa2TheRuleTeaser on April 8th. #PushpaMassJaathara #Pushpa2TheRule Grand Release Worldwide on 15th AUG 2024.”

Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli in the poster unveils a fresh interpretation and essence to the character, in contrast to her image in the prequel film. In the poster, the actress is draped in a green saree and emanates confidence, commanding attention through her dominant stance. The actress leaves an indelible impression with her look, with ornate gold ornaments and kumkum on her forehead combined with black kajal on her eyes.

Earlier, the makers of the film announced the release date of Pushpa 2: The Rule teaser. The film’s teaser is all set to launch on the occasion of Icon Star Allu Arjun’s birthday. Fans are eagerly waiting to witness the Pushpa Mass Jaathara on April 8th. Pushpa 2: The Rule, helmed by Maverick director Sukumar. The film’s stellar cast includes Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, and Anasuya. 

Apart from Pushpa 2, Rashmika Mandanna is geared up with three projects: The Girlfriend, Kubera, and the Hindi film Chaava. Girlfriend, helmed by Rahul Ravindran. In Kubera, which is helmed by Sekhar Kammula, the actress collaborated with Dhanush for the first time.

Kishan Reddy Demands To Derecognize BRS For Phone Tapping Crime

Union minister and BJP Telangana state president G. Kishan Reddy demanded cancellation of BRS party recognition in the wake of phone tapping case. He said that now it is clear that the phones of private people were tapped and money was collected by threatening them, and it was revealed that the phones of celebrities were tapped during the police investigation.

“As the then Chief Minister, legally, KCR should be responsible for the phone tapping. There is no possibility of tapping the phones of these people without KCR’s orders” he said and demanded that strict action should be taken against KCR in the phone tapping case which is creating tremors in the state.

He said that the BRS government has acted to disturb the integrity of the country with the phone tapping, hence the governor will be asked to conduct a high-level inquiry into the matter. He urged that investigating agencies, courts, election commission and governor have been asked to take this matter as sumoto.

He lamented that KCR had enacted a drama in the name of Farmhouse files regarding the poaching of four BRS MLAs by BJP. He alleged that this drama is masterminded, directed and produced by KCR. The actors are BRS MLAs.

Kishan Reddy demanded that the Election Commission should take an immediate decision on canceling the recognition of BRS. It is alleged that this affair was done for political gain on the one hand and to extort crores of rupees from some private persons on the other hand.

He said that a retired officer was appointed as the Intelligence Chief and the phone tapping was conducted under his leadership. The police officials revealed that phone tapping was done during the 2018 Assembly and 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the subsequent by-elections of Dubbaka, Huzurabad and Munugodu, he added.

 “The Election Commission should intervene and reconsider the identity of the BRS party,” demanded Kishan Reddy. He said that Telangana BJP will file a complaint against the phone taping crime and it is the responsibility of the Election Commission to act swiftly.

First Time, No TDP Member In Rajya Sabha

Since its electoral journey started in 1983, nine months after its launching, for the first time Telugu Desam Party landed without any representation in the Rajya Sabha. With its lone member K Ravindra Kumar retired on Wednesday, the party losts its representation.

On the otherhand, the YSRCP has emerged as the third largest party in the Rajya Sabha, with three more members taking oath on Thursday. Presently its strength rose to 11. After BJP, Congress and TMC, now YSRCP is having the highest numbers in the upper house.

Unless some sitting Rajya Sabha members resigned due to obvious resigns and by-election took place, if TDP returns to power in the present elections, it may be difficult for the party to get representation till 2026, when three current members retire and new members are elected from the state.

Following the 2019 Assembly polls, which shifted the power balance towards the YSRCP in the state and the NDA at the Centre, four TDP members—YS Chowdary, CM Ramesh, TG Venkatesh, and Garikipati Mohan Rao—joined the BJP. Ofcourse, all of them have retired by now.

Moreover, from the beginning TDP faced issues with the loyalty of its Rajya Sabha members. Except three, no former Rajya Sabha member of the party remained in the TDP. While some of them are no more, few are keeping away from politics, all remaining are deserted from the party.

Though TDP has been a significant player in both state and central politics over decades, at some time emerged as the main instrument in bringing together all non- Congress parties and formation of non- Congress governments at the center, at present its representation in the Parliament is not encouraging one.

As democracy is a numbers game, TDP has to wait for its time. In the out-going Lok Sabha also it has only three members, of which one member is with YSRCP and contesting on behalf of that party and another member keeping away from electoral politics.

Story:

As the story progresses, her true identity and her connection to his life unfold, promising a compelling cinematic experience best enjoyed on the big screen.

Review :

It sounds like you’re describing a movie featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur in leading roles. Deverakonda seems to have captured the essence of a middle-class character convincingly, especially in family scenes, which adds depth to his portrayal. Thakur’s performance as Indu, showcasing her character’s growth throughout the film, appears to be noteworthy. Their chemistry on-screen evidently enhances the viewing experience.The movie seems to have a strong musical component with well-composed songs that are visually appealing when presented on the big screen.Overall, it appears to be a film that combines elements of drama, romance, and humor effectively.

Anticipated emotional scenes are notably absent in this genre-defining film, failing to resonate with viewers as expected. Despite Dil Raju’s assurance of a compelling love story, the film struggles to make a lasting impact.

While the potential for emotional depth is evident, Parasuram Petla’s neglect of the screenplay results in several scenes feeling prolonged and disconnected. The placement of songs seems ill-timed, and Gopi Sundar’s background score lacks the desired impact, failing to heighten crucial moments.

The latter half of the film falters in comparison to its promising beginning, with certain scenes detracting from the overall viewing experience. The comedy fails to evoke genuine laughter, with the talents of Vennela Kishore appearing underutilized. Additionally, the limited screen time of Jagapathi Babu and the fleeting presence of other characters weaken the narrative further.

Moreover, script loopholes diminish the coherence of the storyline, leaving audiences with a sense of dissatisfaction.

It seems like “The Family Star” has its merits, primarily in the performances of Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. However, its shortcomings, such as a slow-paced screenplay, lack of emotional depth, ineffective background score, and weak storyline, might detract from the overall viewing experience. Despite these drawbacks, if you’re able to overlook these aspects, the film could still offer some entertainment value, making it potentially worth a watch, especially if you’re looking for something to see over the weekend.

The pan-Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna turned 28 today. On the occasion of her birthday, the team unit of her future venture ‘The Girlfriend’ unveiled the actress’s first poster from the film.

From the posters, it seems Rashmika Mandanna is playing as a college student. No Summer Break For NTR Again

For the second consecutive year, Man of Masses and Tollywood superstar NTR has decided to take no break in Summer and concentrate on his work. It is quite usual for our stars to skip shootings during the humid conditions that prevail in April and May. Top stars like Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu and Prabhas have already taken a break due to the sweltering weather. But, NTR is keen on completing his upcoming projects. 

Last year, he commenced shooting for director Koratala Siva’s upcoming pan-India action spectacle Devara in mid-summer and worked non-stop without taking any break. NTR’s commitment received huge appreciation from all quarters. This year, it is no different for the RRR actor because he is currently busy wrapping up the final portions of Devara. He will soon join the sets of his maiden Bollywood project War 2 in which he will appear as an antagonist to Hrithik Roshan who is playing the lead role. 

Reports suggest that NTR has allotted bulk dates to War 2 and will join the sets in the last week of April. In the meantime, he will call it a wrap for Devara barring three songs and they will be canned in June and July. Immediately after completing the talkie portion of Devara, NTR will join Ayan Mukerji’s War 2, which is a part of the YRF spy universe. 

NTR will dedicate the entire May for War 2 and then resume the shooting for ‘Devara’ in June. A close source to the actor adds that Tarak is determined to fulfil his obligations rather than chilling out in foreign countries like his co-stars. 

Besides Devara and War 2, NTR also signed a film with Salaar director Prashanth Neel. This project will start rolling in 2025.

Robert Vadra, the husband of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, has hinted at contesting Lok Sabha elections from the Amethi parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh. In an exclusive interview with India TV, Vadra mentioned that there has been a widespread request from across the country for him to join politics.

Vadra hinted at his interest in entering politics, noting that there is a strong desire from the people for him to do so. As a member of the Gandhi-Nehru family, Vadra expressed that it’s challenging to stay away from politics. However, he also mentioned that he prefers Priyanka Gandhi to enter Parliament first, suggesting that his turn would come afterwards.

Amethi became a hot seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha election after Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi from the seat that belonged to the Gandhi bastion for decades. Rahul Gandhi won Amethi in 2004, 2009 and 2014 but Smriti Irani broke the record. The Congress has not yet announced the candidate for Amethi and Raebarelli while Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination from Wayanad.

Apart from Amethi, Raebareli gained significance this time as Sonia Gandhi, the sitting MP, moved to the Rajya Sabha. Vadra said now people of Amethi are regretting the election of Smriti Inrani, as  except daily abusing Gandhi family hardly doing any work for people.

“The people of Amethi understood their mistake. And I feel now they want a Gandhi family member to represent the constituency. Even I get requests from Amethi people that if I join politics, I should choose Amethi. I remember, my first political campaign with Priyanka was in Amethi in 1999,” Robert Vadra said.

Vadra said that he has been working on the ground since 1999. He said, “People want me to step into politics. Whether it’s the state elections or the central elections, they feel I need to enter politics. Being a member of the Gandhi family, it’s very difficult to stay away from politics. There are demands coming from many places.” 

He highlighted the support from his hometown Moradabad, where people want him to represent them. “I am from Moradabad, and people there want me to represent them, but I have done a lot of work in Amethi, Raebareli, Jagdishpur, and Sultanpur since 1999. If I talk about the South, there were a lot of requests from Telangana for Priyanka and me,” he added.

The Calcutta High Court on Thursday came down heavily on the West Bengal government regarding the Sandeshkhali issue of alleged sexual assault on local women, calling it a matter of great shame. Hearing the matter, the court emphasized that ensuring the security of every citizen falls squarely on the shoulders of the state government.

It further stated that both the district administration and the West Bengal government should bear moral responsibility for the events in Sandeshkhali. Moreover, the court asserted that even if there is a mere one per cent truth to the allegations, it reflects shamefully on the entire administration and the ruling party, who must accept full moral accountability.

 “Even if one per cent is true it is absolutely shameful. West Bengal says it is safest for women. Even if one affidavit is proven to be right, the entire district administration and the ruling party have 100 per cent moral responsibility,” a bench led by Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam stated. 

Petitioner-lawyer Priyanka Tibrewal submitted a voluminous compilation before the court which she said contained around 100 affidavits of alleged victims of sexual assault, apart from those of land grabbing and violence.

A report of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes was also filed by another petitioner-advocate Susmita Saha Dutta, who stated that she had visited Sandeshkhali on NCST’s invitation along with its members, before the court.

The court also severely criticised the lawyer representing Shahjahan Sheikh, who was apprehended on February 29 after evading authorities for nearly two months. The delayed arrest prompted criticism of the West Bengal government and led the High Court to issue a direct order to the state.

Earlier on April 1, a sessions court in Kolkata extended the Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody of suspended Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Shahjahan Sheikh till April 13 in the Sandeshkhali matter.

The ED also lodged two Enforcement Case Information Reports (ECIR) against him. One of the ECIRs pertains to corruption in the Public Distribution System (PDS), with the information originating from a letter penned by Jyotiprioryo Mallik, the former Bengal food minister. The other one was filed in regard to unlawful dealings in export-import transactions. This ECIR has allegations of forcible land acquisition. 

It should be mentioned here that the women of Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district have accused Sheikh and his aides of grave excesses and atrocities. Multiple women on the island accused Shajahan and his aides of “land-grab and sexual assault” under coercion.

రఘురామక్రిష్ణరాజు వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ కు రాజీనామాచేసిన తర్వాత.. తన సిటింగ్ సీటు నరసాపురం నుంచే ఎంపీ అభ్యర్థిత్వాన్ని ఆశించారు. ఎన్డీయే కూటమిలో ఏ పార్టీకి ఆ సీటు దక్కితే వారి తరఫున పోటీచేయాలని అనుకున్నారు. ఆ సీటును భాజపా దక్కించుకున్నది గానీ.. టికెట్ మాత్రం ఆయనకు రాలేదు. అప్పటినుంచి సైలెంట్ గా ఉన్న రఘురామ తన చంద్రబాబునాయుడు న్యాయం చేస్తారనే నమ్మకం ఉన్నదంటూ పలుమార్లు చెబుతూ వచ్చారు. ఒకవైపు చంద్రబాబునాయుడు కూడా అభ్యర్తుల ఎంపికను పూర్తిచేసేయగా, ఏదైనా ఒక సీటునుంచి ప్రకటించిన వారిని తప్పించి.. రఘురామకు టికెట్ ఇవ్వవచ్చుననే ప్రచారం జరిగింది.

ఈ విషయంలో చంద్రబాబు నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారని, తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీకి సిటింగ్ స్థానం అయిన ఉండి నుంచి ప్రస్తుతం ప్రకటించిన అభ్యర్థిని తప్పించి రఘురామకు కేటాయించవచ్చునని ప్రచారం జరుగుతోంది. ఉండిలో 2019లో తెలుగుదేశం తరఫున మంతెన రామరాజు పోటీచేసి గెలిచారు. జగన్ హవాను తట్టుకుని పది వేల ఓట్ల మెజారిటీ సాధించారు. ఇప్పుడు మళ్లీ ఆయననే బరిలో తెలుగుదేశం మోహరించింది. వైసీపీ తరఫున పాతప్రత్యర్థి పీవీఎల్ నరసింహరాజుతోనే ఆయన తలపడుతున్నారు. అయితే ఆయనను పక్కకు తప్పించి ఉండి నియోజకవర్గం నుంచి రఘురామక్రిష్ణ రాజును బరిలో దించబోతున్నట్టుగా తెలుస్తోంది. ఒకటిరెండు రోజుల్లో ప్రకటన రావొచ్చు.

అయితే.. ఎమ్మెల్యేగా పోటీకి సిద్ధం అవుతున్న రఘురామక్రిష్ణ రాజు.. తెలుగుదేశం అధికారంలోకి వచ్చిన తరువాత తనకు కావాల్సిన స్థానం ఏమిటో ఇప్పుడే కోరికను బయటపెడుతున్నారు.
చాలా మంది నన్ను అసెంబ్లీలో స్పీకరుగా చూడాలని అనుకుంటున్నారని ఆయన తన కోరికను బయటపెట్టారు. అంటే ఆయన తెదేపా తరఫున ఎమ్మెల్యేగా గెలిచాక, తనకు మంత్రి పదవి అక్కర్లేదుగానీ.. అసెంబ్లీ స్పీకరు పదవి ఇవ్వండి అని ముందే సంకేతాలు పంపుతున్నట్లుంది.
