విజయవాడలో ఎన్నికల ప్రచార యాత్రలో ఉన్న జగన్ కాన్వాయ్ పైకి గుర్తు తెలియని వ్యక్తులు రాళ్లు విసిరారు. సీఎం జగన్ తలకు గాయమైంది. ఎడమ కంటి పై భాగంలో ఆయనకు రాయి తగిలింది. చిన్న గాయమైంది. బస్సులోనే ప్రథమచికిత్స చేయించుకుని యాత్రను కొనసాగించిన జగన్, తన రాత్రి బసకు చేరుకున్న తర్వాత, అక్కడినుంచి విజయవాడ ప్రభుత్వాస్పత్రికి వెళ్లి డాక్టర్లకు చూపించుకున్నారు. వాపు ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నది గానీ.. గాయం చిన్నదే అని తేల్చిన డాక్టర్లు ఆయనకు రెండుకుట్లు వేశారు. ఎడమకంటికి పైభాగంలో నుదుటిమీద ఈ గాయం అయింది. జగన్, ఆదివారం నాటి బస్సుయాత్రకు విరామం ఇచ్చి విశ్రాంతి తీసుకోబోతున్నారు. ఈ యాత్రలోనే జగన్ వెంట ఉన్న మాజీ మంత్రి వెల్లంపల్లి శ్రీనివాస్ కు కూడా మరో రాయి తగిలి స్వల్ప గాయమైనట్టుగా చెబుతున్నారు.
జనంలోంచి ఎవరైనా రాయి విసిరారా? క్యాట్ బాల్ తో దూరం నుంచి కొట్టారా? అనేది తేలాల్సి ఉంది. ప్రస్తుతానికి దాడి జరిగిన ప్రదేశాన్ని పోలీసులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. విచారణ కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు.
విజయవాడ సెంట్రల్ నియోజకవర్గం పరిధిలోని సింగ్ నగర్ లో గంగానమ్మ గుడి దగ్గర జగన్ బస్సు యాత్ర సాగుతుండగా ఈ ఘటన జరిగింది. సీఎం బస్సు యాత్ర జరుగుతుండగా.. ఆ ప్రాంతంలో అప్పుడు విద్యుత్తు సరఫరా లేదు. విద్యుత్తు అధికారులు అంత నిర్లక్ష్యంగా ఎలా కరెంటు సరఫరా నిలిపేశారో తెలియదు. జగన్ గాయానికి కుట్లు వేసిన డాక్టరు వెంకటేష్ రెండు మూడురోజుల్లో కోలుకుంటారని, గాయం చిన్నదే కానీ, వాపు ఉన్నదని చెప్పారు.
సీఎం జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి సాధారణంగా విపరీతమైన భద్రత వలయం మధ్య ఉంటారు. ఆయన చుట్టూ అంతమంది ఉండగా.. ఇలాంటి ఘటన ఎలా జరిగిందనేది అంతుపట్టడం లేదు. అనంతపురంలో జగన్ మీదకు జనంలోంచి ఎవరో చెప్పు విసిరారు. అది కూడా దాదాపు జగన్ మీదకే దూసుకువచ్చింది. ఆయన పక్కకు తప్పుకోవడంతో తగల్లేదు. అలాంటి ఘటన జరిగిన తర్వాత కూడా.. రాష్ట్రంలో భద్రత ప్రోటోకాల్ పరంగా మొదటిస్థానంలో ఉండే ముఖ్యమంత్రి విషయంలో ఎందుకు సరైన జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోలేదు అనే ప్రశ్న వస్తోంది. పోలీసులు భద్రత ఏర్పాట్ల విషయంలో పూర్తిగా ఫెయిలయ్యారనే సందేహాలు వస్తున్నాయి.

తెలుగుదేశం అధినేత నారా చంద్రబాబునాయుడు దగ్గరినుంచి, కిందిస్థాయిలో ఉండే అనేక మంది నాయకులు ఎన్నికల్లో పోటీచేయడానికి నామినేషన్లు వేసిన తర్వాత.. వారిపై అనర్హత వేటు పడేలా ప్రభుత్వం ఒక కుట్రరచన చేస్తున్నదా? ఆ కుట్రకు పోలీసుశాఖలోని ఉన్నతాధికారులనుంచి కూడా మార్మికమైన సహకారం అందుతున్నదా? అనే సందేహాలు ఇప్పుడు ప్రజల్లో రేకెత్తుతున్నాయి. ఏకంగా పోలీసు డీజీపీ ని ఉద్దేశించి హైకోర్టు చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలు కూడా ఇలాంటి సందేహాలకు ఊతమిస్తున్నాయి.
జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి ప్రభుత్వం ఏర్పడిన తర్వాత.. చంద్రబాబునాయుడు సహా అనేక మంది తెలుగుదేశం నాయకుల మీద రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా అనేక పోలీసు స్టేషన్లలో వివిధ కేసులు నమోదు అయ్యాయి. వేర్వేరు సందర్భాల్లో, వేర్వేరు పోలీసు స్టేషన్లలో ఎన్ని పోలీసు కేసులు నమోదు అయ్యాయో కూడా లెక్కలేదు. ప్రతి కేసులోనూ పోలీసులు వారికి సమన్లు పంపారనే గ్యారంటీ కూడా లేదు. నిజానికి రాజకీయ నాయకులకు ఇది చాలా ప్రమాదకరమైన పోకడ. ఎన్నికల్లో నామినేషన్లు దాఖలు చేసినప్పుడు వారి మీద ఏయే పోలీసు కేసులు ఉన్నాయో చాలా వివరంగా పేర్కొనాలి. ఏ ఒక్క కేసు గురించి అఫిడవిట్ లో చెప్పకపోయినా సరే.. కేసు వివరాలు దాచిపెట్టి, మోసపూరితంగా నామినేషన్ వేసినట్టుగా పరిగణనలోకి వస్తుంది. దానివల్ల నామినేషన్ పూర్తిగా డిస్‌క్వాలిఫై అయ్యే ప్రమాదమూ ఉంటుంది. నిజానికి తెదేపా నాయకులమీద నమోదైన కేసులను పోలీసులు గుంభనంగా ఉంచేశారనే ఆరోపణ కూడా ఉంది.
మొత్తానికి నామినేషన్ సమయంలో ఇలాంటి సాంకేతికపరమైన ఇబ్బంది రాకుండా ఉండేందుకు .. తన మీద రాష్ట్రంలో ఏయే పోలీసు స్టేషన్లలో ఏయే కేసులు నమోదై ఉన్నాయో ఆ కేసుల వివరాలు అన్నీ ఇవ్వాలంటూ నారా చంద్రబాబునాయుడు రాష్ట్ర డీజీపీకి, వివిధ జిల్లాల ఎస్పీలకు కూడా చాలా రోజుల కిందట లేఖలు రాశారు. అలాగే మరికొందరు తెలుగుదేశం నాయకులు కూడా ఇలాంటి లేఖలు రాశారు. వారిలో నారా లోకేష్, అయ్యన్నపాత్రుడు, ధూళిపాళ్ల నరేంద్ర, అచ్చెన్నాయుడు, నారాయణ, తదితరులు అనేకమంది ఉన్నారు. అయితే పోలీసులు ఆ వివరాలు ఇవ్వకపోవడంతో వారు హైకోర్టును ఆశ్రయించారు.
ఈ విషయాన్ని హైకోర్టు చాలా సీరియస్ గా తీసుకుంది. నెలరోజుల కిందట వినతిపత్రం ఇస్తే వివరాలు ఇవ్వకుండా ఇంతకాలం ఏం చేస్తున్నారంటూ హైకోర్టు ఆగ్రహించింది. కేసుల వివరాలు ఇవ్వడానికి మీకెంత సమయం కావాలంటూ నిలదీసింది. ఏఐ పరిజ్ఞానం వాడితే రెండుమూడు గంటల్లోనే అన్ని కేసుల వివరాలు ఇవ్వవచ్చునని, ఈనెల 16వ తేదీలోగా మొత్తం అందరి మీద ఉన్న కేసుల వివరాలు అందించాలని ఆదేశించింది.
పోలీసులు ఉద్దేశపూర్వకంగా జాప్యం చేస్తున్నట్లయితే గనుక.. తెదేపా నాయకుల మీద అనర్హత వేటు పడేలా అధికార పార్టీ కుట్రరచనలో వారు భాగస్వాములు అవుతున్నట్లేనని పలువురు అభిప్రాపడుతున్నారు.
EC Asked To Prevent Resigned Volunteers To Act As YCP Poll Agents
The ruling YSRCP, which was worried over keeping away volunteers from election related duties with the direction of the Election Commission of India (ECI), now attempting to keep resigned volunteers as their poll agents, as they are having familiarity with the villages.
However, Citizens for Democracy leaders are expressing concern over this trend stating that it will alter the very purpose of ECI asking them to keep away from poll duties. Retired IAS officers Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and LV Subramanyam from Citizens for Democracy met the ECI observer Ramamohan Mishra in Visakhapatnam and urged to prevent them from acting as YCP poll agents.
They asked him to ensure that the volunteers who resigned in the state do not sit as agents during the elections. They expressed concern that there is a possibility of influencing the voters if the volunteers who are resigning act as polling agents tomorrow.
Ramesh Kumar told media that in response to their complaint only ECI first directed to keep them away from poll duties and later ordered not to involve them in pension distribution. Alleging that the state government failed to take up pensions distribution with the government machinery, he said they have requested Mishra to take action to complete the distribution of pensions on the 1st and 2nd of May at least.
The former Chief Election Officer of the state Election Commission Ramesh Kumar made it clear that since the government advisers are taking public money as salary, they also come under the purview of the ECI. There are 40 advisers in AP. 13 of them have cabinet status. Salaried persons should not participate in political discussions during elections, he added.
Recalling that any employee who takes part in political activities is bound to be suspended from duty, he said that this procedure is applicable to the advisors also. He said that if the Chief Electoral Officer of the state was asked to take action against those who are doing politics, they would have asked for an explanation.
He deplored that the ECI is not acting against state government advisors, who are involved in political activities. Taking exception to the Chief Electoral Officer MK Meena simply keeping quiet by seeking clarification from the ECI, he said asking for clarifications is not the right approach during the elections.
He asserted that the election officer should act proactively and take strict action. If the EC failed to take strict action against the advisers, he said that we will file a public interest litigation.

Sanjay Singh Alleges `Ill Treatment’ Of Kejriwal In Jail
Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh alleged that three-time chief minister and AAP convener Aravind Kejriwal is being `ill treated’ in Tihar Jail, where he is under judicial custody in Delhi Liquor policy case.
He mentioned that Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, was not allowed to meet her husband face-to-face in Tihar jail. He deplored that something like this has never happened in the history of Tihar to date, as jail rules say that anyone can be allowed to meet face to face.
The leader claimed that this was just done to humiliate and discourage the Chief Minister who has been lodged in Tihar’s jail number 2. Sanjay Singh, who was released on bail by the Supreme Court, last week in the same case wondered why such inhuman behaviour towards a chief minister?
“When the wife of Arvind Kejriwal applied to meet him, she was told that you cannot meet him face-to-face but through a window. … This inhuman act has been done just to humiliate and discourage the CM”, he added.
He further added, “I am saying with full responsibility that even the dreaded criminals are allowed to meet in the barrack, but a three-time CM of Delhi is allowed to meet his wife through a window having a glass in between.”
TDP Will Fight Phone Tapping All The Way, Warns Nara Lokesh
Taking severe exception to the attempts of the YS Jaganmohan Reddy to tap his and other TDP leaders’ mobile phones, TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh warned that his party will fight it all the way. He said that phone tapping is a grave danger to democracy because they are fighting on behalf of people.
Referring to receiving a security alert from Apple on his phone tapping, Lokesh said that latest incident was the second attempt to tap his phone. “I was alerted by Apple that this was the second attempt to tap my phone by agencies. So there is clear evidence that the state agency is trying to tap our phones and this is not new.”
Moreover, he alleged that the state government is filing false cases and trying to hack our phones… TDP will fight this all the way…”. He also challenged the current government and Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for an open debate to compare the welfare work done under their respective regimes.
Taking up the matter seriously, TDP has already filed a complaint to the Election Commission of India (EC) and security agencies. “I have already complained to the EC, both the State and Central EC. We have also filed complaints to regulatory bodies and also to other security agencies,” saud Kijesg
He further said : “If this is the way things are going to be, then it is a grave danger to democracy because we are fighting on behalf of people. This government is filing false cases and trying to hack our phones… TDP will fight this all the way…”
Lokesh also said that in the past, the party has also tried to raise flags regarding phone tapping. “In the past also, we have raised flags and this is something we are going to take up very seriously.”

Bhuvneshwari Says Youth Future Will Be Brighter With Chandrababu
Stating that youth is the future for the development of the state, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari said that their future will be brighter only if Chandrababu is brought back as chief minister.
As part of her `Nijam Gelavali’ (Truth must win) programme, she visited NTR and Palnadu districts on Friday and met family members of those who died during arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. She consoled them in Thiruvuru and Vinukonda constituencies.
Bhuvaneshvari asked the youth and everyone to work like soldiers to the success of all candidates of TDp and its alliance parties. She said that future of the youth will be brighter only if politics of violence and vindictiveness are pushed out from the state.
She said that only Chandrababu Naidu is capable of providing drinking and irrigation water for the people of Palnadu by completing the Varikapudisela project. She recalled that during his padayatra in Vinukonda constituency her son Lokesh promised to complete this project soon after coming to power.
Bhuvaneshwari told the TDP workers, supporters, leaders and villagers who expressed their solidarity with her during the visit to Vinukonda Constituency, they should remember earlier during TDP regime 24 hours electricity was provided to people without increasing power tariff. But, she lamented that during five years YCP regime people were facing a severe financial crisis due to an increase in the prices of essential commodities, gas, petrol, diesel, electricity charges, RTC charges and taxes.
She expressed concern that YCP goons and leaders are attacking people who are questioning, opposition leaders and activists and women are not protected under this repressive regime. She lamented that not a single development program has been done in the state.
Referring to the unemployment problem the youth is facing, she deplored that youth are suffering from unemployment problems as companies are fleeing to neighboring states because of YCP’s harassment. Due to this, the youth of AP are losing their jobs and are falling on the road.
As the people of the state are all fed up with the government, Bhuvaneshwari said that the people of the state should put an end to this evil regime with their weapon of vote in the next election. She said that the people of the state should vote for the candidates of TDP, Janasena and BJP so that for the return of a people’s government.

Later she walked away with son YS Jaganmohan Reddy from Congress and stood behind him as Honorary President when he started YSR Congress Party. She had actively taken part in poll campaigns and also contested for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha in 2014 polls, but lost.
When her daughter YS Sharmila started a party in Telangana also she stood behind her. But she started facing an embarrassing situation after Sharmila joined Congress and became APCC chief. Her political fight against own brother and decision to contest from Kadapa Lok Sabha, against her own cousin brother YS Avinash Reddy pushed Vijayamma into a delicate scenario.
Observers felt that she left for the USA as she is unable to stand behind her son YS Jaganmohan Reddy seeking a second term to him and also at the same time supports daughter Sharmila, who is fighting against brother. A senior YCP leader said that she can neither seek the defeat of her son, nor wish for political failure of her daughter.
Though at initial stage she has reportedly tried to patch up differences between Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sharmila, insiders felt now it is beyond her reach. So, it is believed that she has decided to keep away from the state and return only after election results.
Last month, Vijayamma participated in special prayers held at YS Ghat in Idupulapaya from where Jagan Mohan Reddy started his poll campaign, on March 27. Later, she also blessed her daughter Sharmila, when the latter started her poll campaign from the same place.
