BJP state spokesperson and TTD Trust Board member Bhanuprakash Reddy alleged that a scam worth Rs. 100 crore had taken place in Parakamani in Tirumala during the YCP regime. He demanded an inquiry into this and action be taken against those responsible in a memorandum submitted to TTD Board of Trustees Chairman BR Naidu.
He said that a person named CV Ravikumar was counting foreign currency on behalf of the Pedda Jeeyar in Parakamani. He said that there were suspicions that he had secretly moved foreign currency worth about Rs. 200 crore out for some years. Bhanuprakash Reddy revealed that he had also put a secret weapon on his body through an operation without being detected by the security personnel.
The BJP leader stated that CV Ravikumar was caught red-handed while moving Srivari Hundi cash on April 29, 2023. He said that Vigilance Assistant Security Officer Satish Kumar immediately filed a complaint with the police and an FIR was registered against Ravikumar.
However, Bhanuprakash Reddy alleged that they reached a compromise in the Lok Adalat in September of the same year without arresting the accused. He accused that some of the then TTD officials, the police and the then TTD chairman together threatened Ravikumar and confiscated assets worth Rs. 100 crore.
He explained that there are many suspicions about this entire affair. He said that an inquiry should be held with a sitting judge to unravel the irregularities. On the other hand, Bhanuprakash Reddy revealed that he will request the Center to set up a commission of inquiry into this affair.
‘During the YSRCP regime, a huge scam took place in Srivari Parakamani. Ravikumar, an employee at Parakamani, showed his handiwork. Ravikumar stole foreign assets worth Rs. 200 crore and was caught stealing cash from the hundi in April 2023. A vigilance inquiry was also conducted into this matter. But the accused was released under pressure from some government officials”, he said.
