Alleging that he has been facing severe harassment from the BJP leadership of Telangana state from the time he joined the party in 2014, Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh took severe exception for appointing Uma Mahendra as the Golconda Goshamahal district president. He said that the person is known for his association with the AIMIM leaders.
The three-time MLA deplored that when he questioned the same a very responsible leader in Telangana only said he too did not have any knowledge of the appointment. He said that it is normal practice that district presidents are being appointed as suggested by local MLAs or MPs.
So, he said he has suggested appointing a leader from the SC or BC community for this post. But, surprisingly he said a person whose loyalty towards the party is suspicious was appointed, as against his wishes.
Stating that it was a big conspiracy against him by the state party leadership, he demanded that the district party chief should be changed and a loyal BJP leader should be appointed for this post. He also sought explanation from the state party leadership why his suggestion was kept aside in this issue.
Raja Singh has been keeping away from party activities since some time after he was denied to become the Legislature Party Leader, as he is the only party existing MLA winning for the third consecutive time and a first time MLA, who was originally from Congress was appointed.
He is also not seen in party programmes in recent times. He lamented that party leadership in the state was harassing him so that he would be forced to leave the party. “If they are not interested in me continuing in the party I am ready to leave the party”, he asserted.
He deplored that so far he has been fighting with MIM, Congress and BRS and now forced to fight against leaders of his own party. He said that he is committed to `Dharma Pracharam’ and continuing his fight for dharma. He lamented that he is not a leader who is committed to `broker activities’ for selfish interests.
