Telangana state BJP President N Ramchander Rao has asked Ramagundam Police Commissioner to take stern action and early arrest of those responsible for the death of BJP Mandal President Eata Madhukar in Neelwai village of Mancherial district. The BJP chief along with party leaders met the Police Commissioner at Ramagundam and submitted a memorandum expressing concern over police inaction.
He said Madhukar, who was BJP Vemanapally mandal president has committed suicide on October 10 unable to bear mental tension, harassment and intimidation by local Congress leaders and police.
Moreover, he deplored that a false case of SC/ST atrocity and rape case was filed in Neelwai PS against Madhukar who tried to help villagers disturbed by a noise of DJ being played by Congress leaders beyond permitted decibel.
Madhukar’s all attempts to contact police for help went in vain, Rao said while speaking to media after meeting the Ramagundam Police Commissioner. He accused that police are working as Congress party workers and warned that the party would launch an agitation if there is delay in taking action against those responsible for the death of Madhukar.
He demanded that the police should immediately arrest local Congress leaders Rudrabhatla Santosh, his follower Gali Madhu, Chintakindi Lakshmi and suspend sub-inspector Koteshwar and CI Bansilal for dereliction of duty. Meanwhile, he urged local BJP leaders not to resort to any extreme step as the party would give all possible protection to them.
He went to Mancherial district by train on Tuesday, along with other party leaders and visited Neelwal village under Vemanapally mandal to console family members of Madhukar. He expressed deep shock over the tragic incident and expressed his heartfelt condolences.
He said it was extremely unfortunate that Madhukar, a brave person who fought selflessly for the party lost his life unable to bear the oppression, illegal cases and harassment by Congress leaders and police. Rao deplored that though names were names mentioned in the FIR, no action was taken so far.
He demanded that the culprits, no matter how influential, be identified and strictly punished according to the law. He warned that the BJP will continue its fight against the anarchy and injustice of the of police personnel who were involved in intimidating family members of Madhukar on the behest of Congress leaders as Madhukar was working hard for winning the ZPTC post.
