TelanganaBJP President N Ramchander Rao alleged that there was a clear nexus between Congress and AIMIM on contesting Jubilee Hills by-poll on November 11. Addressing a gathering at the state office on the occasion of a large number of intellectuals and educated people joining the party.
Rao said in fact the current Congress candidate previously contested as an AIMIM candidate, who after receiving the Congress ticket reportedly went directly to the AIMIM chief to seek his blessings. He accused the AIMIM party of fielding its member on a Congress ticket with the intention of winning through Congress support, highlighting a clear alliance between the AIMIM and Congress.
He lamented that it was tantamount to be cheating Jubilee Hills voters, he alleged. The BJP President claimed this amounts to deceiving the public, as a person who previously contested on the AIMIM symbol on “Kite” is now contesting on “ Hand” election symbol of Congress party.
Stating that AIMIM had previously allied with the BRS helping that party to win certain seats in the city, he criticised both previous BRS government and present Congress government of neglecting the city and the GHMC citing the poor state of drainage systems and roads in Jubilee Hills, noting that it is a constituency without a single government office a clear example of government neglect.
Rao urged the people of Jubilee Hills and Telangana to take note of the development and welfare initiatives being carried out nationwide by the Narendra Modi government and support BJP. He appealed to the Jubilee Hills electorate to elect the BJP candidate, citing the party’s previous success in securing 8 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.
The BJP chief asked voters to give the BJP candidate a chance to strengthen the party as the true opposition ensuring the voice of the public is heard strongly in the Assembly and BJP would act as the “ real opposition” and challenge the excesses of the Congress party.
Expressing confidence, he said that the public is now looking towards the BJP and that the party will definitely win in Jubilee Hills assembly seat. He further stated that there was growing interest from intellectuals who are eager to join the BPP.
Attracted with the development agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, intellectuals and educated persons including Dr. Kasani Maruti Goud from Khammam, along with NRI Shashi and his team from London. Leaders from the Devarakonda and Nagar Kurnool constituencies also joined the BJP party who were welcomed by party president N Ramchander with a party scarf.
