State BC Welfare Minister S. Savita expressed her anger over former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s warnings not to participate in the tenders for 10 medical colleges that the coalition government plans to build through the PPP model. She challenged Jagan by saying, “No one in the state is afraid of your threats… the people have already given a clear verdict on who will die if they fall into a well.”
She lashed out at Jagan for writing in his blue media that he had built 17 medical colleges, saying, “Aha… oh… oh…” and people were laughing. She criticized Jagan for being impatient and saying that the Super Six-Super Hit Vijayotsava Sabha held in Anantapur was a mega hit and that Jagan was vomiting venom after seeing this.
Minister Savita inspected the medical college, which was still in the foundation stage in Penukonda, along with coalition leaders, on Thursday. On this occasion, she said that Jagan Reddy had come to the air and laid the foundation stone with a loud voice saying that 17 medical colleges were being built in 2021.
She deplored that though he had promised to complete them in two years, even after completing his term, not a single medical college had been fully constructed. Moreover, she was angry that the Central Government and NABARD funds had been used to build incomplete medical colleges in Vizianagaram, Nandyal, Rajahmundry, Eluru, and Machilipatnam and had started them in a hurry before the elections.
Savita alleged that not even a tender had been called for the construction of Parvathipuram Medical College. She said that not only medical colleges, but also BC buildings, BC hostels, MJP schools, and other buildings had not been completed even with the funds. She lamented that he had ignored those buildings out of jealousy that the TDP would get a good name.
Minister Savita accused that Jagan can demolish the public platform built with public money, but he could not construct buildings. Minister Savita revealed that CM Chandrababu Naidu has decided to build 10 medical colleges through the PPP model keeping in mind public health. She was furious that Jagan is spewing venom over this decision.
