Producer Allu Aravind has lauded Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s profound knowledge of Sanatana Dharma, stating that no one among their family or close associates understands it as deeply as he does. Speaking at the success meet of the animated film Mahavatar Narsimha, Aravind expressed his wish for Pawan Kalyan to watch and share his thoughts on the movie. Directed by Kannada filmmaker Ashwin Kumar and released in Telugu by Aravind, the film is based on Lord Vishnu’s Narasimha avatar.
Aravind highlighted that he immediately agreed to release the film in Telugu following a request from Hombale Films producer Vijay. Due to strong audience response on opening day, additional shows and screens were added. Recently, 200 monks viewed the film at a Hyderabad multiplex. Aravind stated that if given the opportunity to produce a similar movie, he would like to collaborate with Pawan Kalyan.
Director Ashwin Kumar mentioned that animation eased production compared to live action and revealed that the Telugu classic Bhakta Prahlada was part of his research process. Since its release on July 25, Mahavatar Narsimha has grossed over ₹79 crore across India, becoming the highest-grossing animated film in the country and receiving significant appreciation in the U.S. as well.
