Tamil star director AR Murugadoss teams up for the first time with popular Tamil actor Siva Karthikeyan for the high-octane action-packed thriller ‘Madharasi.’ This collaboration has generated significant buzz, especially following Siva Karthikeyan’s recent release ‘Amaran’ and Murugadoss’s last Bollywood outing Sikandar with Salman Khan, which received a mixed response.
Amidst the high expectations, the makers have now delighted fans with an exciting update, revealing the release date of this much-awaited project. The makers shared a powerful new poster featuring Siva Karthikeyan in an intense look, and they have announced that Madharasi is set to hit big screens on September 5, 2025, coinciding with Teacher’s Day.
Set against a war-ridden backdrop, the film stars Vidyut Jammwal as the main antagonist and Sapta Sagaradaache Ello actress Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead. Produced by Sri Lakshmi Prasad under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Movies, this eagerly awaited project is gearing up for a grand pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The Hindi version is titled Dil Madharasi. Musical sensation Anirudh Ravichander is at the helm of music direction, elevating the film.
Currently, Madharasi is in the last leg of the shoot, and the final schedule is in progress. Once the production wraps, the team is expected to begin their promotional activities. Meanwhile, Siva Karthikeyan will also be seen in Sudha Kongara’s direction, titled ‘Parasakthi.’
