Aqua farmers from Vinnakota in Gudlavalleru mandal of Krishna district have expressed their grief that senior IPS officer Sunil Kumar and his benami Nagendra are harassing them by not allowing them to cultivate their fish ponds. They said that the authorities are supporting them and not including their ponds in the aqua zone.
They have complained to the Mangalagiri TDP central office that this should be investigated and justice should be done somehow. It may be recalled that former CID chief Sunil Kumar is now kept under suspension by the AP Government.
“Sunil Kumar’s uncle is from our village. Sunil Kumar’s wife and brother-in-law have 27 acres in that pond. We are losing money due to their family quarrels. They are putting a huge field in Nagendra’s name and settling a dispute with him”, they lamented.
“We have already met several coalition leaders on this. The authorities are supporting them. Their ponds are not being included in the aqua zone. This should be investigated and justice should be done somehow,” Aqua farmers added.
