The Andhra Pradesh Tourist Development Corporation (APTDC) is all set to organize flash mobs at various places in partnership with universities in the state to provide innovative publicity for the Beach Festival, to be organized at Suryalanka Beach in Bapatla district on September 26, 27, and 28 on the occasion of World Tourism Day.
These flash mobs will serve as platforms to promote tourism with the theme of `Tourism and Sustainable Transformation’ and showcase the talent of the youth. In addition to Suryalanka, flash mobs will be organized in places with high population density in Vijayawada, Tirupati, Rajahmundry, Guntur, and Hyderabad to create enthusiasm among the youth and showcase the cultural splendor of the state and responsible tourism, the APTDC said in a statement.
It has already clarified that SRM, KL, and Acharya Nagarjuna Universities have confirmed their approval for the flash mobs. APTDC said on this occasion that some other universities have expressed their interest and need to be confirmed. The students who participated in the flash mobs will be felicitated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on World Tourism Day on September 27.
The APTDC said that the beautiful Suryalanka Beach Festival will provide visitors with diverse experiences through water sports, beachside games, houseboat rides, cashew plantation visits, local seafood dishes, backwater explorations, fun experiences, cultural programs, celebrity concerts, and tasting of tahitians.
In a statement on Friday, the APTDC said that university administrators interested in participating in the flash mobs should send their details to [email protected]. The tourism department has estimated that a large number of visitors from AP and Telangana as well as various states are likely to participate in this prestigious event.
APTDC said that these youth-led programs, as part of Swarna Andhra Vision 2047, will strengthen local communities along with sustainable tourism development in the state. It is suggested to follow @andhrapradeshtourism on Instagram for more updates.
