A sub-committee of ministers and officials has resolved to extend crop insurance to all farmers in Andhra Pradesh. The decision was made during a meeting chaired by State Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu. The sub-committee includes members Payyavula Keshav, Nadendla Manohar, and Dhulipalla Narendra.
The meeting focused on the impact of natural calamities on agriculture and the need for an effective crop insurance system. The sub-committee members criticized the disruption of crop insurance services during the previous administration. They emphasized the necessity of a robust crop insurance policy to safeguard farmers during crises.
Minister Atchannaidu assured that the coalition government is committed to ensuring justice for all farmers and will implement a comprehensive crop insurance scheme to address these concerns.
